Hey! Fun fact, for the last two chests.. if you do time it just right you can get both in one go as long as you have boost left. Was using balanced boot pack, and max jetpack skill. But it helps to know!
I think Bessel III-B is better for credit farming, since it's an XP farm as well. It also has a long UT time compared to local, and you can find a spot that has nickel, cobalt, aluminum and iron, so you can start a crazy outpost and grind materials. Troublesome to sell all those materials, sure, but you also get the crazy XP for crafting those materials in the first place.
This is (by far) the best presentation of this information to date. In the other's, there's always something left out. Well done sir! It's the quality that keeps me coming back.
Except his New Atlantis run is way harder than what everyone else is posting. Just jump through the wall in Commercial District and you have a shorter run.
Tip: the vast majority of venders chests basically just take 48 hours UT to reset, (ship vendors are usually an exception and take much longer) you dont really need to go to mercury every time you can just find a chair and wait the 48UT.
In my experience all vendor chests need 1 week to reset. I tried reseting the akila city vendor chests by waiting in a chair for 48 hours UT and it didn't reset. However you can reset vendors every 48 hours if their chests aren't empty
Wait 48hrs then talk to the vendor. Regular vendors can have more stuff than in the chest but will update their chest after talking to them. Like taking from the gun shop in akila then talk to them to then steal more ammo and creds.
If you want all the loot in all 3 Akila city chests as well as all the credits but don't mind more work, you can loot all 3 chests, Speak to all 3 shopkeepers (to restock the chests again), loot them again, and then run to your ship. (You will lose almost all your health but the game won't kill you.) You can then Sit in your cockpit (on your ship) allowing you to fast travel to The Lodge (New Atlantis) from the Star Map. There you can horde them in the safe in your room as well as the Storage Box in the basement in between all the Workbenches since they both have unlimited storage. Its best to store Aid/Resources in the basement so your character doesn't tire out or has to walk slow to the basement again. Giving you the chance to do workbenches later on once you grinded enough materials. Then you can loot the credits chests and not be over carry weight before heading to Mercury/Venus to fast forward time and do it all over again.
Once again ESO with the guides we need to have fun in our games, I'm in my new game mode plus now and the timing of this video could not have been more perfect!
The day on Mercury is determined by its rotation on its axis, not its orbit around the sun. Additionally, Mercury's sidereal day (the time it takes to rotate on its axis 1 time relative to the background, or "fixed," stars) is different from its solar day (the time it takes for Mercury to revolve around its axis until the sun appears in the same position in the sky). If going by the sidereal day, you would have waited just over 350 earth hours, but if going by the solar day, you would have waited over 1000 earth hours (this all relies upon the assumption that we divide Mercury's days into 24 hours like on Earth).
1 full orbit around a sun is a year 1 full rotation of the planet around the planets axis is a day. Mercury has a shorter year than Earth (it orbits the sun faster) but has a longer day than Earth (longer rotation on its axis). Time moves slower on Mercury that’s why 1 hour there is 500 hours on Earth.
You could just wait for 24 hours near the chest you want and talk to the vendor before you go to loot the chest when you talk to them it refreshes their inventory no need to travel to mercury
Pause at 3:36, see that office desk right in front of you? There's a wall ledge there that you can jump to. You won't clip through the wall. If you turn left there, you'll see another ledge right in front of the chest (pause at 3:38 and you'll see it right in front of that white furniture). Jump to land on that one (you won't clip through the wall there either) then you can take your time to loot the chest.
On the Akila city exploit. If you go and talk to the merchants after taking what you want you can go back out and get everything from the chests for a second time before traveling to the SOL system to rest and coming back. I tried to see if it worked for a 3rd time but it does not. But looting the 3 chests twice does work everytime.
For the Jemison one, it's actually easier to just go along the left instead of the right. The water doesn't extend all that far, it's just the pool above you. Then you can just drop straight down right next to the cafe and you don't have to worry about creative boosting.
It’s September 25th, and they’ve just updated the game today. No longer working. The glitch first yes. But the money chest isn’t there anymore on the space station.
I just found out that the vendor chests are gone. 😳 I accidentally end up blow ground the under the vendor in New Atlantis at the ship port went to the spot were the chest should be and nah it’s not there. No wonder I had a hard time getting the chests in all the locations that you showed in the video. Thank you for the video and effort. 👍
Wouldn't the time difference on mercury be from the slow rotation of the planet instead of the orbit? Earth rotates 59x faster than mercury, so if you count a day in 24 hours on mercury, that would be 1416 earth hours
Yes. Looks like they made it so that a day on any planet is 24 local hours, which should make Mercury hours last for 3600x59 seconds. But I assume we have the classic Bethesda timescale here, so it should be 20x less IRL seconds.
Isn’t it amazing that games companies can fix glitches that we like to exploit, but game breaking glitches that crash your game, oh no we can’t fix them

You can also just walk from chest 5 to 6 and 7 underground. Even more funny in my case: in my save there's some bug that made part of the starport ramp at New Atlantis vanish (I have it on PC as well as on Steam Deck, same spot), so I don't need to glitch around, but I simply walk to all 3 chests, jump back to Venus, sleep, and rinse and repeat. Totally stupid development idea to connect vendors to chests and place them on the geometry. If a non-asset approach was too complicated (why ...?), at least place the chests somewhere at coords 0/0/0 way beyond the landscape so players can't reach them. Otherwise it's developers just asking for players to abuse exploits.
Hey! Great explanation of these glitches… however I’ve noticed, that in my game save (on XBOX), once you take all money from New Atlantis ship tech’s chest, he continues to have zero money to buy from you, even many days later. I may need to test if buying something from him will reset his chest.
I Can Confirm that all of these have been patched Out ... 10:32 I could Not glitch thru wall, Took long way around 13:08... TerreBrew, Jem & Shipyard Chest no longer in those spot likely moved deeper underground!

Happened to me today too. A few days ago when I did it, it went super well. No issues. Today I did it, and I got caught stealing every time. 4 times in a row so far.
There are a couple other chests you can get to on the last one you just gotta do some platforming but you can get like 4 chests without having to reset if ur good at it.
The space port glitch broke my game, can't even load. I fell of the side f the mountain and can't load anything. I have restarted the game and console just nothing doesnt work any longer
i believe most of these were patched today with 1.7.33.. I went to stroud-ekland, akila, ship builder in new atlantis and the chests are not there.. i didnt try the others. can anyone else confirm?
Everyone does the Mercury wait to reset. I haven’t tried yet, but does the previous BGS method of quicksave, attack vendor, load quicksave not reset inventories anymore?
Question? Wouldn't console commands on PC work in all areas / zones of the game as your kinda under the map right? How do you get to console command on a PC as I forgot

I'm in new atlantis by the wall you go through for the 72k I brought up the consel typed tcl but nothing happened what am I doing wrong do I need to hit enter after typing?
Either these glitches are way easier on a PC or I just really suck at using a controller. That first glitch took me 20 tries just to get on the ledge. If I came to close to the wall I pop back in. Finally got to the ledge and then after 10 tries trying to boost pack around the corner unsuccessfully I just gave up. I could never jump though the wall with a n axe. The easier ones are the long run to the chest inNew Atlantis and Akila City. They don't require any sensitive controller actions.
I've done the axe glitch several times and it's a pain in the ass, the commercial district method is much quicker for me, plus extra credits and loot. Haven't tried the 160k chest yet, but will check it out today, although I'm not in a rush, I've already got a Narwal and 700k credits, which I figure is more than enough to be going on with for now.
You can first buy a ship and then loot and you will get your money back. Keep it or sell it its a free ship. I have done this a few times. You just have to go sell it somewhere else.@@helvete983
The chests you can easily access in akilla are just the the good ol skyrim chests. And then you have the jump out of map ones like the whiterun chest. I hope they don’t patch those. Also how are you such a high level with less than 2 days played? Is there a leveling glitch?
There are a few, mobs on very easy give the same XP as they do on very hard, so you can go to a planet with lots of wildlife and just slaughter everything in sight for massive XP. You can also very quickly build massive outposts providing you can source the materials quickly and just build a ton of things with the resources.
Just want to add it's important to not quit out of the vendor when selling it, you need to tab back to the seller and then use the buyback screen for the cleaning to work and to buy back the items for what you sold them for.

Yeah its way better than any other planet. The Key would be the best place to sell as there are 5 vendors all close to eachother with 11000 credits

Well that was fun while it lasted but the update I had to do this morning fixed it all. You can still glitch through but no chests anymore

@ESO You might want to check the time difference on Venus too. It rotates slower than Mercury. Almost 600 to 1 differential.
ammo chest and such in the ground are still there but you'll see they put another layer of ground in the glitch spots need scanner to be deeper

There's another chest in New Atlantis that's full of like 700 kilograms of different resources, a couple space suits, helmets, etc.
If you wait on venus its faster. 1 hour on venus is 100 UT

bars chest is easier to get. just crouch in front of the flag and look at the ground. also don’t have the crouch at shepherds supplies.
Yeh I can’t go though the walls except for Marion area I can but my jetpack is not strong enough to help me to the chest

Time does NOT move faster on Mercury. It simply takes a lot longer to rotate.

Yeah it's nice to have access to the ammo for the Adv Magshear, awesome gun but it eats through ammo so quickly.

To remove stolen tags you just sell it to the trade authority and buy it back it's super easy

they fixed it with the patch today
