    I will help out since I own the Husky liners and can speak to both brands from experience. My Husky fit perfect and feel heavier duty. The spill channel is a huge feature to have that drains out the door sill giving just a bit more featured utility. Both are made in USA and have good warranty. While they are priced about the same, the Husky brand are available on sale events often especially through AutoAnything. It is difficult to find Weathertech on any sale. I did not pay full price and have had the Husky about 2 years now and no issues. The only thing to really note about either brand is that when wet your feet will slip a bit getting in and out. They both wipe clean or can be removed to wash or scrub as needed. When I had the Weathertechs in my previous truck, they fit well, but were not perfect in some of the areas and had a sight warp and gap that never went away. If rating them 1-5 scale, I would give Weathertech 4.5 and Husky 5 when comparing all things....price, fitment, features and durability. You cannot go wrong with either though.

    WeatherTech mats do go over the door sill for drainage. My RAM 1500 has WT's in it and they sit on the door sill exactly like your Husky's. It's just the type of vehicle that those are in with that really deep foot well.

      Weather Tech makes three models of floor mat. A full coverage, flat coverage and universal. I have four vehicles three with the flat and a ‘17 with the full. The full looks almost identical to your Husky brand, but has mechanical locks on the floor hooks. The flat mats hold up great and are very thick. Thicker than the full coverage but the complex bends of the full coverage wouldn’t work with really thick material. I’ve had really good luck with Weather Tech.

    We had these in the Ford Explorer we were looking at buying. First thing i noticed when getting in the vehicle how nice they came up the sides protecting the carpet. When we went back after the so called cleaning up the vehicle the mats were gone. Gave us a single basic floor mat USED for drivers side only after we brought up the mats missing. They said they couldn't locate them and finally agreed to replace them (NEW). However they were not the ones that went up the sides of the carpet. Still having to order the ones that were in there. Crooked dealerships. The ones they supposedly ordered as new were also used and clearly noticeably used. Ordering the correct ones from Husky. Weathertechs were nothing like the Husky quality.

    If you want a high quality floor liner go with the Husky X-actContour floor liners. The Husky weatherbeater floor liners in this comparison are almost identical to the weathertechs in that they are a hard slippery plastic material. The Husky X-actContours are a softer more rubber like composition that lays down and stays in place with no curling up like the weathertechs and weatherbeaters do .

Can you tell me if the surface of the Huskys are slick or rubbery/gripping? I am looking for a more rubbery surface so that things don't slide around in the cargo area. I would also be concerned about the front mats being too slick and not good for operating the gas and brake pedals.

    I talked to an employee at WeatherTech today, they said that the Floorliners were designed to be thin and lightweight but rigid and were made out of a thermal plastic so they wont wear out like rubber. (They didn't know much about Husky when I asked why I should but WeatherTech over Husky. )

      4mBros my work truck has husky liners and they have lost there shape in under a year. The top sides folded/shrunk in. I’m trying out the weather tech liners to see how they do.

    I have husky in my Ford Truck but I went with weathertech for my wife's Toyota Highlander because she wanted them gray to match the interior. Too bad husky only comes in black.

      You would think they would offer more colors with them being such a big company haha. My guess is that they will eventually anyway.

    Weather tech do go up and over the sides in trucks if you are going to compare products you need to look into both and for the same vehicle to do a good comparison

    I had weathertech and was not impressed a year later. They scuffed and became discolored and the mat is more rigid plastic vs rubber. I bought husky this time.

    If your going to do a comparison between 2 different makes get the same model style and do them side-by-side. Weather Tech makes various models that go up the the tunnel and the foot well, similar to what your huskys look like. But don't compare an old model to a new model in different vehicles.

    WeatherTech is keeping the magazines Road & Track and Car & Driver afloat--about 1/6 of these publications are WeatherTech ads! If this is important to you, then WeatherTech is the clear choice over the Husky WeatherBeaters!

    If you have a vs video. You should have both products

  • @keithwillis8913
    @keithwillis8913 6 лет назад +1

    Ok so you do a video comparing 2 different products without really having knowledge about both ? Neither product is "rubber" both are made from High Tech Plastics , the "latch in" that you say you don't need were made in to the vehicle to keep floor liners from sliding under foot and jamming into the accelerator pedal. The husky liner for the same vehicle that has the tan weather tech, would not go over the door sill either.

  • @danvetor1365
    @danvetor1365 6 лет назад +1

    Who cares how thick they are. Weather Tech for my f150 go far enough over the door sill. I would rather have them locked in place. If the mat ever did move and your pedal was stuck , you would be liable. You put them in.
