Why not compare the WT HP with the Husky X-Act Contour? This is an apples and oranges comparison.

Had weathertech on my truck and the edges never stayed completely flat. I’m running Huskey X-act and love them.

Look at Wades Sure fit. I have them in my 2002 Chevy avalanche and they fit like a freaking glove. They also go all the way out to the outside of your sill so nothing gets between the floor mat and the sill. I can sweep them out without removing them. Everything is swept out and over top the door sill. Nothing gets trapped between sill and carpet.

Bought Husky X-act when I bought my 2015. They fit tight and clean up great. Heavy, non slip and well made mats. Ordering another set for my 21.

I bought had Husky weathertech liners originally and they were kind of rigid plastic but they were ok in the summer when I installed them.. and become very rigid in freezing temps to the point they would be uncomfortable and not pliable at all. The X-ACT version is a totally different material, like softer rubber and they remain pliable and comfortable in freezing temps. So make sure you get the X-ACT version if you are in cold temperatures at all.
One additional thing I will add, my 2022 ram 1500 came with these real cool storage boxes that are sunken into the floor in the foot space of the rear seat. The rear xact floor matt totally covers them making them difficult to access without taking the liners up... Probably makes those boxes more secure for valuables, but its something worth considering if you have those sunken storage boxes and want quick access.

I’ve never owned WeatherTech floor mats so I really can’t honestly compare them to the Huskies. I did a ton of research before going with the Husky mats in my 2021 Honda CR-V and couldn’t be happier. They fit like a glove and cleanup is as easy as it gets. You have just as many people who swear by WeatherTech over Husky, it boils down to what makes you happy, not who’s better.

Could not see the slot on the Husky because your finger covered it up!
Another test you need to try is the wet/slippery test.
Wet down both floor liners inside the vehicle and for the driver, push off from your right foot/let when exiting and watch your foot slide back toward the trans hump. You slip....
Do the same with the Husky X-contour (not the weatherbeater) and your foot will not slip.
Weathertech and Husky weather beater are made of TPO a slippery substance, X-contour are primary rubber, not anywhere a slipper.
I had weathertech in one vehicle last winter and had broken my right knee cap. Believe me the first slip exiting the vehicle caused me to make up some new words. The husky in the other vehicle did not cause any undo use of words not fit to be heard by children.

Thanks for the review, I purchased the Huskies because they were cheaper than the WeatherTech previous, I like them a lot.. probably better than the WeatherTech because of the cleats on the bottom so I'm going husky again even tho I have the Tacoma all weather floor mats they're just not satisfactory after you've used Huskies 🤷

You should have come east to the 15th Street exit and performed the last test at Cherry Hill Park in Cd'A. Probably have a greater and more appreciative audience, too. Anyhoo, I've been running Weathertech mats in a Malibu since 2009 with no gripes, and have a set of Weathertech front mats and the rear floor liner arriving tomorrow to install in the new-to-me 2009 Tacoma Access Cab (plus a seatback kick/scuff protector with organizer pockets) to warm up and install for New Year's Day. Tacoma World 'survey says' it's a wash between the two mats. I like the less flexible mat as I can pull them as a tray to keep gravel and sand from collapsing the edge and spilling before I have an opportunity to carry it over to the intended dumping spot. Hauoli Makahiki Hou 2022! (English translation of Hawaiian: Happy New Year 2022!) from tropical north Idaho (compared to wet and snowy coastal Alaska, I am happy to be here.) Thanks, guys!

A real test would be to actually put them in the correct vehicle and get in and out repeatedly with mud on your shoes. As for spilling a drink on the mat....speaking from experience a lot of liquid will hit your legs, seat and center console. Very little liquid will actually hit the floor mat. Thanks for the time but the real test is how well it protects the carpet from mud on shoes/boots.

Umm... No! (1) The very first spill in the mats show the Husky with the water running off the table. NOT sitting on it. (2) Who Is going to take their WT 's and bend them backwards just for the heck of it? (3) Why a fricking burrito roll up? Seriously guys? Who is going to do that? Lmao. (4) An 8 out of 10 because you rolled it up into a shape it wasn't intended to be rolled into? Lmao again. (5) I'll give you a 10 just for the laughs this morning.

    • @titantruckspokane
      @titantruckspokane  4 года назад +3

Hi Donna - thanks for the feedback!
The spill you see is designed that way. The Husky liner has a little trough that sits under the door - allowing water to drain. That's at least how Husky markets that.
As far as the WT liner being bent - you're right. No-one curls their mat backward. However since we didn't have 3 months to replicate a floor mat being bent / curled under someone's feet, we used the quick curl as a test to demonstrate pliability. :)
Whether it's Tech or Husky, you really can't go wrong.
      Jason

Thank you Philip D. Unfortunately we go by what our manufacturers are calling them. In the case of WeatherTech - they call their digital fit mats "Digital Fit Floor Liners". You can see that on their website. When they start calling them floor mats in their description, we'll start doing that too. Thanks! Jason
