Sunrise Seto runs daily between Tokyo and Takamatsu on the island of shikoku and the Sunrise Izumo runs daily from Tokyo and Izumoshi. When they travel to Tokyo they both stop at Okayama and join together to combine both 7 car trains to one 14 car train and on the reverse journey they split at Okayama and go there seperate ways you have to make sure when they split your on the right side otherwise you could go to the wrong destination.

This episode is another “eye opener” to me and to my mom about Japan 😂 We didn’t know that there’s a night train available for Osaka-Tokyo (or vice-versa) route. We only know that we can take either shinkansen or bus 😅 Although it’s a bit expensive than Shinkansen but the experience that you’re getting here is priceless and compared to a night bus, I think you’ll have more privacy here. My mom and I love to try this once we can travel again but the only thing that we’re worried about is that if my mom can still handle the whole “process” of riding it because she’s already a senior but she really wants to experience this, too 😂
Again, thank you so much Rion for sharing your night train experience to us, most specially to the people who are not familiar with this kind of transportation. We enjoyed it and gave us an additional information about Japan. Looking forward to your upcoming videos! Welcome back to Tokyo and stay safe always! Gao! 😊 🦁

Excellent video sharing a unique way of travel, with the little "bloopers" you make. I enjoy traveling with you and will visit Osaka when I come back to Japan ... before your videos it wasn't even on my list! Eat more veggies ....

I love how you made the walk from car 10 to 3 a journey itself, and even said the iconic "let's keep walking" 😄👍

The Sunrise Express 285 series!!! The last overnight sleeper train in Japan... I REALLY hope i can be able to ride it at least once before it retires.....
Was that the deluxe Single room?
One should really wait at the platform for the carriage number for your room, walking through those coridors and steps are surely a big work out!
The sight at Okayama station (beyond Osaka) is pretty neat too, to see the trains couple (towards Tokyo direction) or un-couple (towards Takamatsu/ Izumo shi)
Always love your videos! Thank you!
