Hope you have enjoyed the Obon weekend in Tokyo. Looking forward to your new video about Obon. And stay hydrate during the hot weather to protect your throat as you need to talk a lot.
Arigatougozaimasu, Rion, for brightening my day with your Shinkansen travel adventure. I'm glad you had an enjoyable visit with your family in Osaka, and I hope you have and enjoyable Obon holiday weekend in Tokyo! 👍
Such an interesting Shinkansen travel tips! Yep, kakigori is a perfect summer treat. The Marinouchi Square is so lovely at night. Get ready with your umbrella, rain or shine.Be safe always, Rion.
Thanks for the update. I like that you were able to get a discounted ticket and showed us a place for cheap ramen which looked hella good🍜 Honestly, it didnt matter how hot/humid it was, I still ate bowls of ramen 😂💁🏾♀️💯 I am a fan of Strawberry shaved ice 🍧 If there was a mango flavor I would love it more. Your haircut looks great. Very fluffy and soft😊 Please be safe along with your family and friends with the whole Nankai Trough situation
this video very helpful for tourist like me who will visit osaka first time. Also i noticed you tend to select family restaurant and quiet. VERY GOOD. since most of travelers like us who come to osaka , tokyo especially touristy area with their family (to visit theme park *for family). Thanks! Metcha arigatou.
I miss Japan we went there when we was there we went to Kyoto and Osaka and we stay in Shinjuku in Tokyo we rode boat and we walked there too had such awesome time there 😊
Hi Rion-san! Your videos are very informative and me & my wife able to understand when you speak and explain things. We are visiting Japan this coming September! Can't wait! ^_^
Hi Rion! I'm not sure when you made this video but I'm hoping you and your family and friends are ok from the Nankai earthquake! I've been watching the news on that as well. I've fully prepared for anything that might happen during my 2 weeks stay to include a travel health insurance plan, which I think is super important. Stay safe Rion and as always... Arigatoo ❤😊
I stayed at the Hotel Nearby the station. The Midosuji Hotel. It has it's own onsen. Nothing beats onsen after travelling around Osaka. Kimochi desu ne!!!
Wellcome to the rainy Tokyo. I just wonder have you lost or forgot your folded umbrella. It seems that it might rain even after rainy season is over. One must prepare anyhow. You have chosen obviously the last moment to ride on almost empty Shinkansen back to Tokyo before Obon. All you have eaten for lunch or dinner looked yammy and the snacks with beer, as well. Thanks for this video. Please, stay safe, especially due to unpleasant 1st mega-earthquake warning. I am praying for Japan and its people.
17:15 where I live nobody sells shaved Ice. I have actually never tried it. But my favorite soft serve ice-cream is coconut flavor or butterscotch hard-shell (that is when they dip the ice-cream in a butterscotch outer coating).
We have Kura kaiten sushi here in the Seattle area. I got 12 plates when I went and it cost me US$80. That was with tip and one of the plates being an $8-10 tempura shrimp order, though. And their crab salad items are real crab, not imitation “krab.” And you get a guaranteed gachapon for every 10 plates (which is why I got at least 10). ;-) Drinks and wasabi/ginger comes to your table via automated robot too, which is cute. Pricey, but would go a few times a year as a treat.
It would be good to get an update on ic suica card situation as news reports say that cards will be returning soon to Tokyo and also a 28 day foreign visitor suica card can be purchased from the airport.
The extra space behind non-reserved car (shown in your video)... If you put your luggage there, the train conductor will ask you to move your luggage to your seat (even when it's 28 inch size). ^_^
The Philippines best selling summer dessert made of shaved ice, milk, sugary liquid, sweet potato, beans, nata de coco, boba/sago and gelatin was borrowed/copied from the Japan's KAKIGORI. Back in early 19th century, as immigrants and traders from Japan came over here brought along the recipe for this dessert, first for their own consumption, but eventually became a national delicacy. We owe Japan for our delicious Halo-Halo.
35:35 This is no longer entirely true. While a JR RAIL PASS still does not let you ride Nozomi trains for free, you can now buy a ticket supplement/upgrade for each ride. The cost of this supplement depends on the distance; from Tokyo to Osaka, for example, it's about ¥5,000. Compare to a usual reserved seat on Nozomi (since JR RAIL PASS entitles the holder to reserved seating), around ¥14,500.
For the baggage lockers, does taking a photo of your QR code and using a photo work when retrieving your bag? It seems it should. I'm always misplacing paper receipts. What happens if you lose your QR code?
18:30 $10 USD is sooooooooooo cheap compared to American food. You can't even get a single burger for 1 person for that in a restaurant here now 0.0 it sounds like it use to be cheaper for you, but the same experience you had there for lunch would be $50 USD here.
im just curious, why do you keep showing only osaka and Tokyo on your videos? why not feature some other areas specially non touristy places in other prefectures?
Quite the miser and disrespectful with the filming in people's faces and shops that don't allow filming. Poor etiquette like many YTbers that sell out their culture and countries.
Honey wake up, a new Rion video just dropped! Arigatoooo ~~ I'll be on the lookout for you in January! Let's 乾杯 together!
🍻
Thank you, too, Rion. It's been raining in Tokyo so do take care. 🤗❤️🌨️
Hope you have enjoyed the Obon weekend in Tokyo. Looking forward to your new video about Obon. And stay hydrate during the hot weather to protect your throat as you need to talk a lot.
Thank you for the great video as always, always enjoyable .
Looking great Rion like your hair and absolutely love your videos keep it up ❤❤❤❤❤
I love watching your videos. It's very informative.
I really enjoyed the bonus material. 😅
Another fun and very informative video, one of the best Japan vlogger

I've watched you do this trip so many times but I still love it!

Hi Rion Am heading to Japan in October-November 2024 hope to see you there🎉
I stayed at the Hotel Nearby the station. The Midosuji Hotel. It has it's own onsen. Nothing beats onsen after travelling around Osaka. Kimochi desu ne!!!

I like ur english. I can hear it clealy👍
Rion, we rode on the Nozomi Shinkansen, some of the power outlets are on the armchair :D
On the armchair in Nozomi, I didn’t know 🤯!?
Greetings from Canada.
Hey Rion, you are allowed to use the Nozomi Shinkansen with the JR Pass, however you must purchase a special complementary ticket for 4960 JPY.
Wellcome to the rainy Tokyo. I just wonder have you lost or forgot your folded umbrella. It seems that it might rain even after rainy season is over. One must prepare anyhow.

Oh my God. I want to try the fried corn and shaved ice-cream. Where is my bib? I am drooling

Never tried Coconut flavor, it sounds great😋

Howdy, Rion Ishida! How's your weekend doing there well?
fun
@31:!3 power outlet is in the armrest ( i can see the outlet when you kampai and drank your HUB beer)

Hi there, do i have to change the discounted ticket date on the same day or can i change it to a future date? (maybe 4days later)

21:32 What happens if you lose the coin locker ticket? Will the scanner work if you took a photo of the receipt? 🤔
Lets gooooo
23:43 i see you girl 😂
For the baggage lockers, does taking a photo of your QR code and using a photo work when retrieving your bag? It seems it should. I'm always misplacing paper receipts. What happens if you lose your QR code?
❤❤❤
2:55 Can you take a picture of the QR code and use the picture instead of holding on to the piece of paper (or in case you lose it)?

Rion do u think u can do a video on Fukouka?..thank u🙏🥳..
❤❤🇰🇪
Rion, how do you see that it's a starting train? The number is 442./// I miss Shin-Osaka. I'm now in Osaka (Namba).
Over 200 numbers in Osaka station. It’s the starting train from Osaka station!
Can buy Shinkansen reserved ticket from the discount store? need reserved sea for oversized luggage
Yes, but you need to make reservations in Midorino Madoguchi though!
Yeah we kinda got confused between osaka and shin osaka 😂
Hi, when you were talking about obon it sounded like you said October? Or is it August? (We r travelling in Oct)
In August👍
Where do you stay in Tokyo??
will you be at Tokyo Station on Monday 8/12? I will look for you.
Probably not🥲, pls check my instagram story if you wanna know where I am😊
I love HALO-HALO❤ its our version of shaved ice in the Philippines, topped with ice cream and pudding🍧😋
5:02 october or august?
August👍
When I get the shaved ice cream, I like tigers blood, do they have that flavor in Japan?
Never heard it😅
@@RionIshida Tiger's blood shaved ice flavor is a sweet combination of strawberry, watermelon, and coconut. 🥥
im just curious, why do you keep showing only osaka and Tokyo on your videos? why not feature some other areas specially non touristy places in other prefectures?
Just cheap for the most part, look at how many Disney, USJ, and fish market videos he does over and over again.
wow that is a cheap ramen!
Indeeeed😋
