    That cross-over-tube , you can delete it , come off the drivers side valve cover , with 15 mm rubber hose , into a K & N 5/8 “ , metal stalk , i think i used the 2 “ air cleaner , i pushed it down behind the stock air cleaner spot , pushed 2 solid plugs into the holes to seal them , helps with heat in the summer , octane , no oil in the intakes , etc….

    Awesome video my man, quick question I put on the same intakes to my z but did you have any problems putting the front bumper back on ?

    • @S4_Ahad
      @S4_Ahad  4 года назад

      Yeah, I had to take the foam piece off. And it still needs some adjusting because it pokes into the bumper leaving a bulge. Wasn't too hard to get back on though.

    Great video, very detailed and explanatory. I was considering buying these exact intakes. I'm going to give it more thought though, I'm not a huge fan of having to trim a piece off the oem baffle. I feel Z1 should have accounted for this in their design. Thanks for this video man, and nice Z. - Keez

      I appreciate it man, honestly it wasn't too much work. Another thing to consider with any larger intakes is getting the fitment right so it doesn't poke out from the bumper.

      Oem..Baffle? Do you mean the PCV system? Just toss that whole assembly away. Either get a catchcan or a pcv delete.

    Great video, but one question. Do these intakes also have a slot where the MAF sensor goes? (I'm assuming yes, but I was not able to see your MAF sensors in the video)

    • @S4_Ahad
      @S4_Ahad  4 года назад

      Yes they are designed to where the MAF sensors are on the underside and out of view.

      If you’re goal is 300+ which a DE can’t do without forced induction go with a TT Nissan 300zx it’s right around the same price for an HR plus you’ll be gapping any Z.

    I heard you have to get tuned once you go with cold air intakes?

    • @S4_Ahad
      @S4_Ahad  4 года назад

      Not these specifically. I think Z1 has a race version that might require it. However these can be used without a tune.

    • @DaytonaBlueHr
      @DaytonaBlueHr 4 года назад +1

      Abdul Ahad I heard the 3” intakes are the ones to go with if you want a little more power but damn 306 whp is pretty good for basically only intakes and exhaust. Were the injectors necessary? I feel like Hr’s would only need upgraded injectors like once its boosted or maybe cammed

    • @S4_Ahad
      @S4_Ahad  4 года назад

      @@DaytonaBlueHr Yes 3in is definitely better. I just got a great deal on these. Also, my tuner said that although injectors aren't necessary, after the tune they are almost at their limit. So I decided to throw them in.
