Karen, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking us shopping. My mother had 2 pictures of a girl and a boy that looked like they lived during the 1800’s in our dining room. My aunt who collected antiques always wanted those pictures because she said they looked like her and my father as children. Many years went by and she finally found the set of pictures for herself but in gold oval frames. I asked for them after my aunt passed and they were offered to me for sale. I declined as I had 2 children and was on a tight budget. A couple months later the pictures arrived in the mail. Come to find out they aren’t even on a hard surface but just paper. I still enjoy having them as it reminds me of my wonderful aunt Virginia. She and her husband lived in a house built in 1900 that had a turret. We went there for Christmas Eve every year. All the relatives in this beautiful house filled with antiques. Magical.
When you were talking about the frames on the prints of the boy and the girl being a little bit scratched, it prompted me to share with you an easy fix I've used that works wonders: I dab on brown shoe polish (the waxy kind that comes in the round flat tins), rub it into the scratches, and then I buff the frames with a soft cloth. Covers and eliminates the scratches AND gives a nice luster to the wood. Let me know if you try it and if it works for you! 😊
Storing things in plastic: I'm not a seller but it's been my experience that whatever is stored in a plastic tub, after time, tends to take on the smell of the tub. I appreciate that you bag your clothes. Retailers get clothes from the factory in bags. It keeps them clean. Also, I reuse shipping material always. I just love your channel and enjoy wherever you take us. Thank you.
I love the pictures with the flowers and that's a great price too that would definitely match with someone's decor if they have wood too or anything very nice
Yes, fleur is flower in French 🌼 The little lady with the basket might hold a bar of soap, or some jewelry. The little silhouette pictures are so pretty! And you made my favorite supper!
I agree with you about eBay pushing their promoted listings. I don’t make enough to pay for promotions. And we already give eBay a %. So, paid promotions aren’t happening with me.
39:04- I love the 2 floral pictures you bought for only $1. Something about them is really attractive to me. As I was watching, I immediately started looking around to see if I had any wall space for them, but sadly I do not :( I love the convex frames, too! 😊
Hello, I so enjoy seeing all the shopping in thrift stores and flea markets. I am a retired nurse and can’t help noticing how thin you are since I have watched you for years. I pray you are well.
My favorite videos are the ones you do at Roots flea market, mom-and-pop thrift stores, and yard sailing. Even if you don’t buy stuff it’s fun and a nice change of pace from Goodwill. I love seeing the indoor food place too! I haven’t seen you do estate sales, do you go? They’re usually indoors so I don’t know why they couldn’t be year round there. I am on an email list and yes prices can be high but they do 50% off on 2nd day and for your type (long haul) it could be good, especially since you have a built-in audience. Might be nice to shake up the typical Goodwill inventory. Today’s scores were AWESOME, I like it when you buy what you want, you don’t overthink and you’re more relaxed ❤
You are so right about storing clean clothing in bags, in your bins in a climate controlled space. You can't just pick things up from Goodwill and bung them into a plastic mailer without processing them. They smell. The Orca whale box is a seafood gift box.
Karen, you mentioned that you want to size down to smallest, what items are you thinking of as things to sell? I am a reseller also and I'm older than you and need to size down. I'm sorta in the ( I don't know how to do this mode ) Do I remove the large stuff from my listed items? 😮 Thank you, !
Hi Karen. I’ve been watching and enjoying your videos for a few years now. Thank you. I’ve heard other resellers say they find a lot of their items have fallen off from their listings. Have you done an inventory check lately to make sure all your items are still listed?
Morning Karen. Interesting comments on plastic. Here in Australia we have the continuing debate. Supermarkets have done away with plastic carry bags but guess what? Everything we buy from food to cleaning products ard encased in plastic. It makes no sense. It would be good not to use it but what would it be? Anyway great video today as usual. So interesting and informative. I love the walk around at the flea market. Val.🐨 💟
I was going to say the same thing! Those look PERFECT! I remember my Gma had 2. Of course as a kid I thought they were ‘old fashioned’ She passed away in the 80’s. I have no clue what happened to them.
I totally agree with the plastic bags, it keeps things folded less wrinkled. I keep them filed so it takes less time finding items. It keeps things clean because if you are in that bin 30 times, even though my hands are clean it would be a lot of touching. I have copied you completely plus i personally re use plastic as much as possible. I wouldn’t want to receive an item thrown in a polymailer alone.
What a fun & cold day of shopping and pulling sales! FBMP can push all they want for us to promote our items, but it won't work on me. They already take enough fees when I have to ship. Happy weekend, Karen & Roger!
The problem is when the listing activity on eBay comes to a stop. EBay stops pushing your stuff to the top of the list. It is said when you have higher activity of any kind you sell more. I send offers, list & sell every day. I also buy.
The one and only time that I tried to "boost" my fb marketplace listing, my bank flagged it as a probable fraud, so the payment did not go through and I had to contact the bank. Never again.
Thanks, Karen, for replying. I must say that you're my favorite vlogger on youtube. Love how honest you are. I'm always sad when your videos end. You and Roger are so entertaining.
Karen, May I ask, is the clothing returnable? What is to stop a buyer from buying an item, wearing it, then sending it back? Do you sell your clothing as, "final sale"? Does Ebay allow fianl sales? Thanks!
I buy less from thrift stores especially clothing, it is much easier to buy the Amazon returns NWT and scan the items also finding measurements and size charts online. I pay way less than thrift stores I only go to thrift stores once a month on half price day. Estate sale auctions online have the Best Buys for my hardgoods. Occasionally I’ll buy a whole walk in closet of clothing. I’m able to tell quality from the look of the quality of all the items in the sale.
The small pictures are reversed painting with organic backgrounds. They were made by a company in california in 1950's. Children and animals sell better than dating couples.
❤❤❤
Karen you are a powerhouse. A meatloaf in the oven, mashed potatoes etc . Looking glamorous while organizing and pulling sold items. Wow!

I have that pink and gold, swan planter and I LOVE it!!!

27:03 Yes, Lafleur you said it right! Yes, Lafleur means the flower. There’s a famous hockey player in Canada Guy Lafleur.
There was probably smoked salmon in the wood box. You guys are awesome..stay warm!

I too have that wall space problem. I thought it was only me. I'm in good company!
Loved it all today Karen
I miss having a basement.
1st🎉 Good afternoon Karen and Roger!!😊😊😊
Hi Karen…that cedar box may have had smoked salmon in it. Thanks for the video, you rock!❤️🇨🇦
Yes, I live in the Pacific northwest and the box was designed in a native American style and did contain like smoked salmon. Hard not to love!
I'd use that beer stein as a coffee mug lol
With all my respect, your husband is very handsome. Love your videos😊
It’s obvious he is very much in love with Karen and it’s fun to see them together. But he does have the best smile. And dimples to die for. 😊
Im sure you feel the same way about your husband
@@tricia9940im hoping you feel even more about your husband! 😁💜
I enjoyed your video. The small Christmas tree is unique especially in great condition!

😂 bless your heart! I have definitely gained weight as Ive matured lol and am exactly in a great weight range according to my doctor
Hello Karen, can do a video about organizing and labeling

Too high priced and day 2 is too picked over to make my time worth it 💜
Nice picks, Karen and Roger. Fun video, but I got cold just watching you.
I don’t have anything with pinecones on it but I sure do love the look. Great sells Karen. 😊

I will just let the larger items sell through
Evening Karen an Roger’s lv Ann ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Where does Roger keep all of his inventory? We have seen an office but that hardly seems like enough room for him. Just curious. Love the videos.
He has inventory in the basement and also a storage unit
Good choices!

Dainese is a high end Italian brand. Pronounced "deh-nez'-eh". Nice pickup. RevIt is a Dutch brand also very nice product.
I have set of those convex bubble pictures of courting couples. Not a nibble. Had them for a couple of years.
I love those type of pictures! ❤️

I can't believe you got the silhouette pictures so cheap! They are expensive in antique stores now.
I was going to say the same thing! Those look PERFECT! I remember my Gma had 2. Of course as a kid I thought they were ‘old fashioned’ She passed away in the 80’s. I have no clue what happened to them.
My parents had some of those. Rem them in the 60s hun@@Not-thatKaren
Always such a pleasure to watch❤
Thank you so much!! 💜
@@lavenderclothesline you bet! It's fun, relaxing, and very interesting! You have many options when you SEMI-retire❤

The ceramic lady in pink holds a scouring pad by the kitchen sink.
That box is First Nations Canadian Art a good deal I love that art!
I would buy those elf’s (at the beginning of the flea market) for your both and sell for $5. They would be cute decorations for the both.
Amazing sales👍
Goooood Morning from Germany 🙂
What a fun & cold day of shopping and pulling sales! FBMP can push all they want for us to promote our items, but it won't work on me. They already take enough fees when I have to ship. Happy weekend, Karen & Roger!
I have set of those concave bubble pictures of courting couples.
Love the video ❤❤❤
Hotdog soap!😂
I have seen that blow mold with ch before
Please tell us where to get that thing that you have to make your phone portable, the strap.
It’s in my amazon favorites list in the notes of this video
That wooden bird might have been a penguin? That's my guess!
It is inconvinient for me that the clock in the kitchen is missing ...but that is only in MY brain ... everything is ok ...
I wonder how long it would take to sell everything once you stopped buying more. Hmmm
The problem is when the listing activity on eBay comes to a stop. EBay stops pushing your stuff to the top of the list. It is said when you have higher activity of any kind you sell more. I send offers, list & sell every day. I also buy.
There are many ways to sell off inventory if a person wants to end quickly which I don’t 😂
I've recently started buying clothes at Goodwill & trift stores to resell. Do you wash the clothes you buy to resell?
Wash, steam , hand wash, soak use Dryelle etc , it depends what the item needs . I don’t buy anything dirty, items have to be in really nice condition
The one and only time that I tried to "boost" my fb marketplace listing, my bank flagged it as a probable fraud, so the payment did not go through and I had to contact the bank. Never again.

Hi Karen.....
Have you and Roger ever thought of attending estate sales?
I have quite a few times, too high priced compared to what we can buy for much less in thrift stores
Thanks, Karen, for replying.

Marketplace… I guess it’s time to go back to craigslist lol
Did anyone catch the maker of the little green tree at 44.37? I'm not familiar with it.
Capodimonte.. not sure if I spelled that right 😂
I'd like to know how you figure shipping on each item in advance
Ebay calculates it for each individual buyer depending on the weight and the dimensions of the package that you enter

I have! It was a lot of work and it didn’t bring the same profit as the other platforms
What is Roger's site called again. I need some skippo cards😂
It’s in the video description

that's a lot of work for $65K/year
