I am so addicted to your videos! Roger even cracked me up this morning, introducing himself as Mr. Lavender Clothesline. He's perfect for you, and you two are very blessed❤
Thank you for taking the time to make sure we had a video. You are always looking out for us.😄 So I want to make sure I leave a comment of appreciation. Hope you two had a wonderful time in Florida. Merry Christmas.
Robert Graham Shirt Reverse Cuff: the contrast and your comment about men and cuffs took me back to when I was a young sailor aboard my first ship. The dress uniform for liberty on the beach was the traditional Cracker Jack blue uniform. When the salty old hands would get off the ship, they’d flip back their uniform cuffs to reveal intricately embroidered designs, hand stitched in Asian ports, like Hong Kong and Singapore. Common patterns often included dragons. When flipped down, back into place, nothing was visible. The modifications to the uniforms were referred to as Liberty Cuffs and many were as intricate as the tattoos sported on their arms. The work done was a source of pride that told us new guys that these older hands had been around and spent time across the pond. 😉
@@Not-thatKaren In your travels checking out antique booths, if you happen to see any older Navy Enlisted Cracker Jack uniforms, flip back the cuffs and every once in awhile you will find those Liberty Cuffs. You can spot the older (World War II to pre 1970s) uniforms because they'll be Dark Navy Blue and made of Wool. Newer uniforms post 1970s were Black and made of Synthetic material. Used to see something similar to the Robert Graham cuffs on rebellious young Naval Officers too. The Dress Uniform for dining out was a white shirt, under a double breasted Black Uniform Coat, with gold buttons. After the senior officers would leave an event, like the annual Navy Ball, the uniform jackets would come off and those white dress shirts would turn out to be about 60% bright colorful prints. Jackets on, they appeared to be in uniform, but jackets off was their time to relax and loosen up.
When I lived in PA back in the 80’s I loved to driving though all the countryside and looking at the big stone houses and barns. Looked at several old farms to purchase but my husband was in the military and we decided not to invest right then. the old buildings were amazing. The history in Wyoming is quite a bit younger than history on the east coast and it was fascinating. The buildings were so beautiful. My grandmother was born in 1895 in Michigan. She shared many stories of her trip across the country to California in 1916 with her husband. She didn’t get to California until 1925 having spent a couple years in Nevada and Utah. They arrived with 7 children. Grandpa worked for the railroad but was after the gold in the west and California.
I really look forward to your videos! I laughed when you turned the white iron parrot upside down and said, "This has age"... I thought I would die laughing. I raised parrots for a living many years ago yet I never knew you could tell their age by looking at their butt!!! Lol 😂😅🤣😂😄😃😁 I live in Florida. I hope you two have a wonderful time while here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Love and hugs ❤❤❤
Grandma chic is coming back they are putting those plates up in a water fall pattern not a structured pattern. Also the teacups without saucers I saw placed in a large clear jar ( the one I saw was all blue and white mixed patterns.
Oh, gosh...here you are in my other Mechanicsburg Goodwill! My daughter, granddaughter and I shopped there a few weeks ago. Daughter had a panic moment after they'd been trying on several things when she realized she did not have her purse!! We looked everywhere with no luck. Then she checked the car. She'd left it in there all along. Whew!
Roger was soooo funny in the intro! My husband and I both laughed hard. He can be Mr. Spotted Horse Trading Post! Yes we love & sell art. Especially sells well at Christmas time. My husband has perfected a shipping method for heavy glass enclosed artwork. Not sure I could ship them on my own so glad he does them.
Merry Christmas to you & Roger, enjoy your vacation! Yes, I love artwork and it seems like that is what I buy most on eBay 😂 The glass fish you found, I have one, got it on Poshmark and I love it! It’s quite the conversational piece and I love to fill it with gourmet caramels (or any candy) for my guests, and for us too ❤
I worked in a high end boutique from the late eighties through the early 2000’s. We sold Marisa Christina. It was a beautiful and expensive line of clothing. It might still be made but not what it used to be. The same with Susan Bristol.
I love your videos. I now do my eye liner the way you do yours. Looks better on you, but I am trying. I am enjoying the art I have gotten from you. I certainly wish there were smalls in original art in the bauhaus style and cubist and abstract but not so abstract that a child could have done it. Im working on a gallery wall. Oh, i love the blue bunny with the gold.
Wow! She is talented with the button art. Everything looks so high end and the opposite of kitch. There is a fine line and she does not cross it. Absolutely stunning!
I noticed in your friend Stephanie's booth she had a vintage cookie jar, the one with all the cookies on the outside. That was the cookie jar we had when I was a kid. One year my husband surprised me for my birthday and bought it for me at an antique store. Since then I've been able to find a smaller one at a GW and bought it too. I love walking the antique booth stores, they always have tons of good stuff, especially things I've grown up with. Fun video today!! Merry Christmas to you and Roger. Hugs * L
On your trip to Florida, you won't be able to visit the Feed Store in Ellenton. (You mentioned that you visited it in a previous video from your Florida trip) Sadly, it was severely damaged in the last hurricane. You can check out the Women's Exchange in Sarasota. It has some amazing things. I enjoy your videos. Happy holidays!
Popular fashion and decor trends that come out and have a huge following then fall out of style will have a resurgence in 25-30 years. I know I’m showing my age by saying I have seen this happen many times but with age comes wisdom haha. I am always looking back at what the hottest trending style was 25 years ago and stock up. As soon as I start to hear or see the beginnings of the resurgence im ready and I fill my booth 😂🤣I have done really well always getting 5-10 times what I paid for pieces😃
Yes that is an Alabama Crimson Tide Champion shirt your husband had in his cart and Yes we won it. "Roll Tide", The glass fish would be awesome for a beach condo with sand and shells inside it. Merry Christmas to you and Roger.
Oh Karen, what a great video😎👍 I love artwork.😍 As a retired artist, I want to have more than my artwork on the walls. I get very inspired looking at others work. Like Bev Doolittle, her work is amazing, and you see something new that you didn't see before. Kind like your channel. Always something different down every isle.🤩 I love hearing your stories. I love your view on all things🥰 With your fun, and cozy voice, you could be great ASMRer🤭
Roger is too funny saying that he is Mr. Lavender Clothesline. A man with a great sense of humor is a rare find! The end tables were very nice if you had had a bigger booth space. I spotted a Gail Pittman vase that was flowered at one of the booths you were in. She has a collector following. Her story of success is quite impressive.
Good evening Karen, I am here for the artwork and pottery items😊. I would have grabbed the black birds. Thank you for another fun video. Have a blessed Festive Season🙏🇿🇦🤶🎄.
We had a blown glass fish in the 70’s. We used it as a decorative piece on a table. It had been part of my husband’s bachelor pad. I like the way they look. Not sure why we got rid of the one we had.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I thought the fish bowl was for a gold fish. The sweater set by Marisa Christina brought back good memories . I had a spring sweater set with matching skirt and a straw hat the wide band on the hat was the same fabric as the skirt.
Karen. Magnetic hooks on the wall tiles! My friend is a big cruise person and, apparently everyone travels with hooks for their cabins for more storage. 😉
Love you both! I saw Roger in Shillington but too shy to say hello…..”I don’t know why”…..I always get the best deals there. Merry Christmas to you both.
You two are so funny right out of the gate! 🙃 At 27:48 it looks like Mickey is still trying to give Minnie a kiss. She's playing hard to get. 😚 Merry Christmas and God bless you in all that you do. Greetings from Lake Arrowhead. 💜🦝
I'm pretty convinced your pottery vase is Jeff Unzicker. Not because of the signature so much as for the stamp. It is just like the stamp for Unzicker Bros. Pottery--a capital "U" and "B" melded together. Also, your vase looks a lot like his work. He and his brother are both potters. Check it out. :)
Hi Karen…thanks for all you do. I love all those miniatures you picked up! Hope you enjoyed Florida…any update on a purchase down there? Merry Christmas to you, Roger and Family. 🇨🇦❤️
during 2020 when there were no public toilets I seriously thought about getting a van so that I could travel with a bathroom LOL ... still have not completly ruled it out
That decoupaged furniture is beautiful and you only need one piece in a home to actually appreciate it. It's more of a statement piece as jewelry sometimes is. I don't think most people would opt for multiple pieces although you never know.
I found a creepy crawly 1964s maker and I have over 500 views and some watchers so I hopeful it will have a buyer soon..I sold a 1960 Betty Crocker kids baking set ..love these vintage items
I am so addicted to your videos! Roger even cracked me up this morning, introducing himself as Mr. Lavender Clothesline. He's perfect for you, and you two are very blessed❤
I want to hear how the cookie baking went with the grands hopefully everybody had a wonderful time I was hoping for a sneak peek of some cookies ❤
Thank you for taking the time to make sure we had a video. You are always looking out for us.😄 So I want to make sure I leave a comment of appreciation. Hope you two had a wonderful time in Florida. Merry Christmas.
I love, love, love paint-by-number Art, especially of horses!
Big glass fish:
I display favorite seashells in mine. Beautiful marbles or glass orbs would be gorgeous, too.
There are Alabama fans everywhere. Merry Christmas from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Roll Tide!!!
Roll Tide!
Karen the fish is Blenko glass made in Milton West Virginia. The have their catalogs on their website so you can identify it easily.
Merry Christmas Mrs. And Mr. Lavender Clothesline 🙏🎄❤😂😂

Very interesting!!
@@Not-thatKaren Thank you. I enjoy watching you roam about with Roger (Mr. L). You've really gotten him comfortable in front of the camera. LOL

That is a fascinating story!!!! I never heard that story before. Thank you so much for sharing.

Merry Christmas to you, Roger & your family. I very much enjoyed browsing through Old Factory Antiques. Thank you for the tour!
Merry Christmas Karen, Roger and to both the families! Y’all’s videos are our gift twice a week! Thanks for posting!!
Blown glass fish in the 70s were used for terrariums for one thing. I had one and my kids broke it!
Also used as fish bowls.
Those white plastic chairs were almost the shape of the MCM Eames chairs.
I really look forward to your videos! I laughed when you turned the white iron parrot upside down and said, "This has age"... I thought I would die laughing. I liked the rabbit signed print. But you know your market best.

Those kids aren’t loud 😂
Lisa always lowers the background noise for the videos so nothing is too jarring.

Do I love looking at artwork? Yes - I love looking at anything & everything.
You are the highlight of my Wednesday and Sunday you tube watching🥰 A very Merry Christmas to you and "Mr Lavender Clothesline"😂🥰‼️
My Mother-in-law had that fish. She made it into a terrarium. It was very pretty.

Can you give more details on the work/hours involved in having a booth for those who don’t? I really want to understand the time and care involved.
Merry Christmas Karen and Roger and Mellissa and Bare and Lisa and Hubby and Dylan...God bless you all.
Loved your comment about big lamps in the 60's...."Here's our lamps" lol💡Happy Holidays!
Giddy up those horses wow....the Princess and her Silver Fox Prince Merry Christmas to you two lovers
Wow! She is talented with the button art. Everything looks so high end and the opposite of kitch. There is a fine line and she does not cross it. Absolutely stunning!
lol 😆 when I saw the look on your face when you said. “To tell you the truth it’s small” I knew you felt DISAPPOINTED 😂😂😂😂
I like artwork! ❤

This Community Aide is right across the street from that Mechanicsburg Goodwill. Both are on the Carlisle Pike.
Love shopping with you.
I believe your pottery piece is a Jeff Albright original. Congratulations.
That glaze
I agree they were just talking
Wow! Nice job Roger!
sauce dish because it has two " spouts" , gravy boat only one spout according dr lori
Great finds. Good to see you both. 🎄🎅🏻👏☺️
Love My "Sweet Home Alabama". I don't find it often in Texas.
Good evening Karen, I am here for the artwork and pottery items😊. I would have grabbed the black birds. Thank you for another fun video. Have a blessed Festive Season🙏🇿🇦🤶🎄.
In your booth, you’re right about empty space. Things should be grouped and have empty space so the eye can rest when looking at a lot of things.
We had a blown glass fish in the 70’s. We used it as a decorative piece on a table. It had been part of my husband’s bachelor pad. I like the way they look. Not sure why we got rid of the one we had.
Yes, I enjoy looking at artwork with you, but I like just being allowed to tag along with you and Roger! 😊👍❤️
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I thought the fish bowl was for a gold fish. The sweater set by Marisa Christina brought back good memories . I had a spring sweater set with matching skirt and a straw hat the wide band on the hat was the same fabric as the skirt.

That fish would make a cute fish bowl
Do you have any videos talking about what sold in your booth?
Oh the cat pictures we made back when. Oh. Do I have to drive to the place from Ky!?
You two are so funny right out of the gate! 🙃 At 27:48 it looks like Mickey is still trying to give Minnie a kiss. She's playing hard to get. 😚 Merry Christmas and God bless you in all that you do. Greetings from Lake Arrowhead. 💜🦝

A marble collection would look cool in that glass fish!
Did you hear me yelling at the first goodwill? There were a few bags of packing peanuts. 😂
I love artwork! xx

I ❤ Pit Game as a kid! Great find, Roger!
