Last Boz Scaggs concert I went to, his back up singer got a standing ovation. She was phenomenal!!! I saw Dukes of September and it was the best of all concerts. Greatness!
Boz is the BEST live!! I have seen him many times and he never disappoints!! In fact, I just saw him in Tahoe last summer and he killed it!! I am a 70 yr old grandma who loves Boz! His music brings back so many fun memories!!
Thank you for playing my request. I adore Mis Monet Owens's backup vocals. She brings so much to the song. It takes a ton of talent to take the light off Boz. He has a Boz Scaggs (Live) 2004 CD/DVD and videos on RUclips that is just amazing. So smooth and intimate - you feel like you're there. Saw Boz twice. He's one cool cat.
"Miss Sun" as I inderstand it was written by David Paich of the group TOTO. It was released on an album by Boz Scaggs called "Hits". Artists back in the day sometimes would release a "greatest hits" album and add a couple of new songs to that album and "Miss Sun" fell into that category. I went out and bought the vinyl record shortly after hearing it on the radio. Back then it was not uncommon for me to buy a greatest hits album instead of having to buy several of their LP's. Thanks for reacting to The Dukes of September. There's a boatload of talent on that stage. Take care.
Boz Skaggs grew up in Texas, and learned the blues growing up, and broke into the music business as a blues artist. He has been friends with Steve Miller since they both grew up together in Texas. that's where Boz's soulful delivery comes from.
You can never go wrong with Boz And he always knew he wasn’t alone when he performs. I forgot Michael McDonald played keyboards in this video. Boz Is a cool funky dude!
Man you made my comment for me! I was just going to point out the same thing, that up there are 3 of the most unique voices of all time. Their uniqueness is what makes them so great.
Can you even think of anyone making popular music like this now? Maybe a handful of people, but I can’t think of any. To put a band like that together and perform to perfection is a lost art. Each and every member, Fagen, Mc Donald, Scaggs, Herrington and those beautiful ladies. I really long for these days. Great reaction, I hope they decide to tour one last time .
The original recording was Toto-Boz Scaggs fusion. Jeff Porcaro's drumming was elite. Boz Scagg's voice sounds great all these years later. This is basically the Steely Dan touring band.
Dang, what an incredible performance!! This is much better than the studio Version. I almost forgot about this one. Thank you guys, I love your channel ❤️
William Royce "Boz" Scaggs... I've had the pleasure of seeing him Live 3 times. Each time a fabulous show. The ladies go crazy throwing underwear on stage. Boz just smiles and sings like nobody else sounds. I have his entire catalog.
Song written by David Paice (Toto keyboardist). I think Toto members also played in the album. Toto also did there own recording of the song on the album "TOTO XX".
SO glad you two appreciate Boz musical and vocal abilities, and that he is one cool, smooth dude. ) And, Che, you are so on the money saying that the Dukes are three of the best and most distinctive vocalists. A wealth of riches!
On piano is Donald Jay Fagen best known as the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band Steely Dan, formed in the early 1970s with musical partner Walter Becker and Michael McDonald on key board. Peace out.
AirplayBeats is my favorite reaction channel! Your enjoyment of the music is genuine and infectious. Its like watching a concert with friends! Great video!
OMG…what a great video clip! I’ve been a fan of Boz since my senior year in high school. His Silk Degrees LP was transformative for me. Btw, excellent reaction guys…👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you found this show. Another Boz Classic you should try is called, “Breakdown Dead Ahead.” One of a handful of his songs to receive massive radio rotation back in the day.
This track was released in 1980 as a single from the vinyl album "Hits". I couldn't get to TOWER RECORDS fast enough to buy this album. "Miss Sun" was not on any of his other albums at that time. I love this version with Michael and Donald. Thanks for reacting to the Dukes. Take care.
Ya'll want to enjoy yourselves? Give Boz singing "Look what you've done to me", the live version. Blows minds! The young lady who sang on this will blow your mind on this track. Sure, I'm not a paying person, but that doesn't mean I don't know your likes and am looking out for you. Trust me on these mentioned today and see for yourself.
Great reaction as usual guys!! Boz has always been cool as an autumn night in Michigan..great song ..I can remember turning my girlfriend on to this song back in the early 80's..What memories..those were the days..Shout out from the old metal head from Detroit..
BOZ ALWAYS CAL LS DAVID HOOD OF THE FABULOUS MUSCLE SHOALS SOUND, TO WISH HIM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. DAVID IS THE ONLY ONE LEFT.😮😢 theay met in MUSCLE SHOALS in ,sixty, nine to collaborate on Loan me a Dime with DUANE All man.
A favourite is from '71's Boz Scaggs & Band - Why, Why, Why. Boz, a great survivor, knew him from the early great Steve Miller Band's '66 and '67's albums, followed solo career since.
I'm very familiar with this song, but I've never seen/heard this version and all I can say is...WOW! His vocals and solos (cool "wah" effect on his guitar) and the musicians/vocalists were absolutely on point, but his interaction with the backing vocalist at the end was the perfect "cherry on top"!
He's a flirt and I love it! I looked at some of a 2004 concert of his and she was his background singer back then too. So almost 20 years Boz and Monet have been touring together.
Wow, Boz still has the chops on the guitar and his voice is still grreat. I tried to get tickets to this tour, but in my area those tickets went to over $850 a ticket in the first few hours and I had to skip it
I saw Boz only once about 10 years ago in a small casino venue and he did this song along with a bunch of his classics. It was a fantastic show. I waited for this song with great anticipation, and he and the band did not disappoint. The backup vocalists were amazing then too. Thanks for reacting to this one.
Fortunate to see him in the early 80's at the Greek Theater UC Berkley. A WOW concert with so many great songs. I'm sure you will enjoy the 'BOZ' journey.
So wonderful to sit and listen to this track with you guys. The band is so tight and the vocal ‘duet’ so seductive I have to hear it again every couple of days. You nailed it - it’s dope! Thanks for posting! 🔆
Boz’s live shows are always tasty! He’s killin it on the Wawa pedal! This was music we’d hear on the radio- we were so spoiled. ❤ And I love his “ argument “ with Ms Monet!!!!!!
YES!!!!! Miss Sun and JoJo are my favorite Boz Scaggs songs, and you've hit them both! I've always loved the build up coming from the background singers on the studio version of Miss Sun 🔥I've been blessed to see Steely Dan in concert, as well as Michael MacDonald; have to see Boz! Another Dad artist, love it.
He’s such a great musician but always valued the writing more than the instrumental show offs even though I love the show offs too! Such a great close out on vocals by Boz and his back up singer (don’t know her name but she awesome!).
I always loved that song but never really dug into Mountain or Leslie Wests music but when I hit my 40s I really started getting into Mountain and now I’m a big fan and celebrate his entire collection, Mountain, Leslie West Band, West Bruce & Laing and Leslie West solo, even the stuff he did in the 2000s I enjoy immensely! Great player, great blues man! Was just turning my two oldest sons onto West & Mountian last week, they loved it! Great reaction, it’s fun watching you guys!
Last Boz Scaggs concert I went to, his back up singer got a standing ovation. She was phenomenal!!! I saw Dukes of September
and it was the best of all concerts. Greatness!
Ms Monet tore it up every time!
Boz always gives his backup vocalists their due
So did Elvis - it's called class !
Ms Monet is now on The Voice!
Boz is the BEST live!! I have seen him many times and he never disappoints!! In fact, I just saw him in Tahoe last summer and he killed it!! I am a 70 yr old grandma who loves Boz! His music brings back so many fun memories!!
Being a 71 year old rocker I just love that you guys are so into some of the great music of the ages! So fun to see you light up to the tunes! ✌️😎❤️
Shout out to Miss Monet accompanying Boz on this song. She killed it!❤
Amazing!🎉
The female singer in this is Catherine Russell. She's a powerhouse.
It’s actually Monet Owens. Catherine does tour with Steely Dan however
@@TheDanVault thanks for the correction!
She's definitely a power house.
Love Boz Scaggs! Love Miss Sun!
Love Dukes of September!
Most phenomenal voice! I have always loved Boz and always will! ❤️
Song gives me the chills.❤
What are you going to say about this… a room full of legends.
Still sends chills up my spine. Legend. No words.
My favorite new to me song for Summer 2024 on Yacht Rock Radio! Always loved Boz but Miss Sun is the it!❤
Last week Boz turned 80! Happy Birthday Boz! Love his smooth as silk style!
Thank you for playing my request. I adore Mis Monet Owens's backup vocals. She brings so much to the song. It takes a ton of talent to take the light off Boz. Thank you!!
I just watched Boz do Look What You've Done to Me in that 2004 show and it was beautiful.
And Monet is competing on the Voice right now on Team Reba McIntyre! ❤
Oh How I love song 💖

God I just love this version. Wow!
This was THE BOMB! WOW!!!
Alot of talent on that stage 👌
It looks like Boz, Donald Fagan, Jay Leno's brother, Anthony Anderson's brother, Chris Pratt on drums, and many more.
@@VinzClorthokeymasterofGozer is Michael McDonald supposed to be Jay Leno's brother now?
Just like Stevie Ray, Boz is a Texan😄.
William Royce "Boz" Scaggs... I've had the pleasure of seeing him Live 3 times. Each time a fabulous show. The ladies go crazy throwing underwear on stage. Boz just smiles and sings like nobody else sounds. I have his entire catalog.

One word describes Boz, SMOOOOTH
Boz's voice is a marvel. I saw him live in 2019 and his vocals sounded just as good he did on his studio albums 40 years earlier.
What a lineup…So Smooth❤ love your reaction!
Sooo good can listen over and over 😊❤
Seen Dukes of September in concert! Amazing!!!!
Never saw that version. Outstanding. Thanks for showing and reacting!
These three top cats have such a big sound! And the backup singers! Incredible music and performance !
Boz is the man!
Complete and utter perfection is all I can say.. Amazing.
Life is short. Buy the tickets. He’s amazing in concert.
SO glad you two appreciate Boz musical and vocal abilities, and that he is one cool, smooth dude. ) And, Che, you are so on the money saying that the Dukes are three of the best and most distinctive vocalists. A wealth of riches!
A superb production with genuine legends. Most performers in this ensemble are Steely Dan alumni so we rightly expect magic. And we got just that.
Amazing performance 👏
The entire concert was fantastic!
I was on my feet singing every song.
🎶🎶🎶
I think my favorite boz scaggs tune is Harbor Lights. By the way that's Donald Fagan on the piano
On piano is Donald Jay Fagen best known as the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band Steely Dan, formed in the early 1970s with musical partner Walter Becker and Michael McDonald on key board. Peace out.

I don’t know why this song was not more popular.
Love look what you’ve done to me. Live. It’s everything!
OMG…what a great video clip! I’ve been a fan of Boz since my senior year in high school.
His Silk Degrees LP was transformative for me.

i didn't know i'd enjoy watching intelligent people digging good music, but here we are.
Intense pleasure to enjoy.

Wow! Never seen this performance before. Exquisitely well done.
Love this one~😊
I’m so bummed I missed this tour! Luckily I’ve seen The Dan twice, the Doobies once, but still need to Boz. Been listening to Boz since I 8yo :)
🎶💙Took Bestie to too many times to Boz concert. Won’t go anymore. Her loss!💙🎶

Lol, Jackpot !
He comes to NoCal every year! Check his touring schedule,❤
6:38 where he goes with that…chills
Beautiful guitar 😮
Incredible talent on that stage
Goddamn...i cant stop watching this. Must be the 10th time.
Gotta see your reaction to Loan Me A Dime or Runnin Blue....Boz is the Man. I LOVE your channel guys.

Just so good! So smooth, all of them always so smooth. Boz is such an underrated player because he was never a show off!
Please do the live version of "Look what you've done to Me" with a younger Miss Monet and Boz Scaggs. Gorgeous song.
Gotta love his bluesy vibe 😂
Damn...that ending was tight. She has a blowout voice
Everyone on that stage is top shelf

I saw these guys a few years back in Boston. I love them all . I have everything Boz has ever put out.
Great tune especially with the sisters singing backup to add flavor!
Boz Skaggs "Greatest Hits Live" concert dvd is one the best live performances out there. Every song is very well done.
Boz’s live shows are always tasty! He’s killin it on the Wawa pedal! This was music we’d hear on the radio- we were so spoiled. ❤
And I love his “ argument “ with Ms Monet!!!!!!
Beautiful, true art.
Damn! I’ve never seen that before. Wasn’t sure the way it started, but it more than delivered on the studio version, which I really like.
Dudes, do "Hard Times" from Boz! ❤
So cool.
That was better than the studio version. Wow!! And I love the studio version.
Another gem of a song written by David Paich from Toto.
