Biology, Chemistry, Pyschology and Maths/EPQ. For Medicine you only need 3A levels and I enjoyed Alevels more than GCSEs which is why I did allot better
I'm an aspiring doctor but I'm doing my GCSES at the moment and the only subject that I'm getting a C in is Maths. Would that prevent me getting into med school????
Samhad Miah you can go to Cambridge but it doesn't mean you I escape. You'll still need to bmat which sci, maths, eng and a bit of ukcat. But if u have As in a level that could level it.
+Samhad Miah It actually doesn't matter at all, i don't know what these people are on about but as long as you pass Maths and English and then go onto smashing your A Levels then your actually fine and capable of surpassing Medicine at University!
Aii tons of uni's will accept a B in maths and english. If anything, just apply for a foundation year and you'll get in with lower requirements. I applied to the Gateway to Medicine programme at Bristol and hold an offer. I have a B in maths 👍🏼

Aii Thank you! Well at AS i did, but i dropped it because i hated it, you definitely do not need to do maths to get a space, Biology and Chemistry are really all you need. Take a subject that you enjoy for the third and make sure it's easy because A level science is no joke. Most uni's will accept any 3rd subject other than critical thinking or something along those lines.
Just starting 3rd year med and watching this video is the first time I've smiled in two years. Lool thank you!
Good luck!
Blimey he's gorg😻
how important is it to remember all the content from the pre clinical years? i’m in 2nd year now barely remembering what i learnt in 1st year haha
That's my question too.. How can one recall all the stuff learned in 1&2?
I'm doing my exams and I realised there probably no chance I'm getting in so might as well change my career path now... I think I will get 4A* 3A 2Bs
nah thats good enough to apply for medicine.
THATS SOO GOOD!
I just finished first year Medicine and I only had 1A*. Chill man, just do well at Alevel
+Masood Jamil How was A-Levels, what did you have to do? Subjects wise etc.

Samhad Miah Most medical schools (if not all) require at least a B in GCSE English and Maths.
