I love this video! I am still really impressed with your taste in Hard Rock/Heavy Metal music all these months later after I subscribed to your channel. I love that you chose exactly what your number 1 pick is and your runner up even if it meant repeating the same band more than one time. I would have done example the same way. There are some of your number 1's that are my number 1 such as for 1991. Night Of The Stormrider is also my number 1 for 1991. It is a MASTERPIECE! Great video, and keep them coming!

I must say Mike, you’re very well versed in quite a bit of some musical acts which I personally have never heard of nor listened to but you’ve picked a good number of Scorpions Lp’s when I too had been a HUGE FAN OF including both the original guitarists ( particularly Ulirich Roth whom Hendrix himself had said was the greatest 🎸 that he ever heard play alongside Billy Gibbons as well!); Schenkner twins like on the Tokyo Tapes 💿 in’78) still do appreciate Matthias Jabs just as well; yet neither Rudy or him can compare with the former in my humble opinion. I remember when I was but a lad hearing the “In Trance Lp!? 😳 I’m very pleased to see that they’re throughout your postings all the way from their beginning up until the later years when I was getting into all fronts of the punk hardcore scene; thrasher stuff and once I started playing with people who were everything as humble beginnings to being sighted by them majors; playing in all types of genres from the early black Delta blues into BOC meeting Captain Beefheart with the attitude of Black Flag 🏴 eventually signed into International fame not fortune lolol 😂 so I’m kinda sorta a Rock and Roll had been and always was as good as ever my former band mates are still alive and kicking 🦵 from what I understand.? But this Pell fellow I haven’t heard anything by. I too have a vast appreciation for a lot of different musical styles that are so evidently unique and so noteworthy as well as yours. I recently discovered a great collection from an anti- alternative band that call themselves the MELVINS and if you’re interested in a hybrid of possibly maybe Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper somehow had a baby together and threw in some new elements that wouldn’t make sense in a modern world 🌎 where both Country and Pop have dominated the music charts in the past two decades or so, but they also use elements from the latter genre’s origins.? I think ya may dig this band and they should not be overlooked by anyone to be honest with you as their 40+ years can attest to their current popularity and like a band who experimented with similar themes; say Steely Dan whose main composers used to fire everyone except for their main man 🎸 Jeff’skunk’ Baxter put out a different style with their own albums for multiple eras. Well I will most certainly listen to your plethora of picks like Children Of Bodom and classical music that in the past I would have simplified as just that. I’m very grateful 😇 for your listing and here’s a few more for you to seek out! COWS ( not to be confused with The Cowsills of the 1960’s onwards but an amazing collection of a catalogue from Daddy had a Tail til Whorn like what it suggests to the frontman unable to play but only rudimentary notes himself lol 😝 or something akin to my final band’s debut Kilslug “Answer The Call or their other projects like Upsidedown Cross ( J. Mascius of Dinosaur Jr. hitting the skins because the guy who was supposed to be on it had a hangover! He was not listed due to his record label finding out and therefore preventing any conflict of interests), but my friend RIP 🪦 the late great 👍 Mr. John Lawrence McCarthy’s voice on this side project Ointment-“Satan’s Sandbox” back in’89 and is easily found on this channel You-Tube’s official website has every single thing on this matter and last, but certainly not the least of many suggestions from Me? Lubricated Goat’s 🐐 “Plays the Devil’s Music’ outfit of Scottish descent have got to very well be the strangest of all these things in my personal experience of first impressions upon hearing; I hear elements of Ennio Morricone to Motörhead and beyond that! Bullet LaVolta is a local band that were on my former label 🏷️ and made a jump from every other business dealing to an Ep with Metal Blsde to RCA and then just dropped.!? They’ve had a video on MTV which used to play such things instead of the trash 🗑️ I hear they’re still doing today like allegedly reality shows that I wouldn’t be caught dead 💀 watching til when they used to find material for mass consumption all over the place starting with The Buggles- Video Killed the Radio Star 💫 to Headbangers Ball late night Saturday. I think the country’s already going to Hell itself perhaps a lot sooner than expected, but until then let’s take pleasure in knowing that We can all listen to each other’s musical tastes without any biases, aye Mike.? Thank you 🙏🏻 for your reading my ramblings and talking all about the music weve been brought up to love 💕 I never would’ve imagined a life second to none without it. Everything from AC/DC- ZZ Top before they sold their souls to the latter, yes?? I’m still playing those shit- kicking licks though on a rare occasion that I pick up my own gee- tar and play along to a Lynyrd Skynyrd record line say “Second Helping” Take Good Care of Yourself now and keep the faith and seek out what I told you about ASAP! Worthy of your time and attention! Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt;Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED and I am sending you a greetings 🖖 😅from Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka naturally. Google US.GOV and see what the real agenda looks like before all the globalists take over and please 🙏🏻 stay away from the jab Ffsakes I cannot stress this one enough Mike and this is no conspiracy theorist talking at’cha here 😤just some good solid facts beginning with Soros and Klauss Schwabb and spreading the disinformation upon Us to swallow whole heartedly especially if you’ve got any children or a significant other; wife or partner they’re trying to wipe anyone out with Schwabb even promoting his brand new book on depopulation of those people who are over 68 and under 18 cuz what’s their use inside of a perfectly molded version of this planet We once knew? No mainstream media news stations are ever going to tell Us things like this so might I suggest you tune into a podcast such as Timcast. IRL; Styxhexenhammer .666 and We Are Change rightfully so until they’ve said the wrong thing and BAM 💥 Cancel Culture for saying the truth. I know from experience and been shut down for giving people advice like that I am giving to You Mike. Trust Me on what I speak of 🗣️ 💭 I know exactly what’s coming down 😢..!Okay mate, Cheers 🥂!!!
@@if6turnedouttobe9Everything from the mighty Judas Priest except for the debut album 💿 “ Rocka Roll” and without Rob Halford as the frontman he was born into being despite his own personal struggles with his lifestyle and alcoholism and cocaine addiction in his past, right? Seriously though? I’ve been following them ever since I was a kid and from my first time seeing both them and Iron Maiden first American Tour of the “Killers” Lp in 1981 June around Father’s Day and mine drove all 4 of Us to the concert to boot 🥾 cuz he’d known just how important it was for Me to witness the event of my young lifelong pursuit of happiness 😅.!! I'm pleased to see the love you give to Ted Nugent. I think his music kind of gets swept under the rug because of all his personal craziness, but there is no doubt he can rock with the best of 'em. Just put on one of these albums and the music speaks for itself.
1995 - Slaughter of the Soul and 1996 - The Jester Race, both monumental and legendary. Nothing can come even close to these two. Also, 2001 - The Secret of the Runes

A few prog rock bands could contest them, but they don't fit the list. Iron Maiden had 10 albums in, as expected from my favorite band of all time. Ronnie James Dio won number one 5 times in a row on 3 different bands, which is insane to think about. Dream Theater, Blind Guardian and Symphony X Dominated the modern era, showing up consistently. Also a lot of Judas Priest, Savatage an Death. The late 2000s were quite weak, with a few albums that wouldn't make top 2 in other years. Thankfully, the 2010s had an amazing explosion of modern prog metal that saved the decade for me. Finally, I need to catch up on the last few years, some of these albums I barely know. I will get to it eventually, too much music out there, not enough time. This was a lot of fun, cant wait to see what the 2020s bring!

Great list! The time period 1989-90 as a whole was the best for Metal in my opinion. Its tough to decide which to pick from those two years. Talking about the modern albums, have you listened to 'Long Night's Journey Into Day' by Redemption from 2018? It has Chris Poland on lead guitar (but more as a session player).
So many albums for anyone to go through year by year top 2. As to a year give me time to go through a year for faves of. I isolate 1999 here to yea go with Annihilaor Criteria For a Black Widow. It's certainly one of those top best and love Jeff Waters and his playing alot too. 2nd I go with an old go to album with Tristania Beyond The Veil. Vibeke Stene, clean-singing counter-tenor Osten Bergøy, and harsh, black metal-style shrieker Morten Veland. The blend of riffs and use of violins and all to make the album so engaging and stand up for me. And I got referred to Tristania by penpal g/f was engaging with at the time.

Interesting. I was on board until about 1992, then...well, metal is huge. In my case bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Paradise Lost, Tiamat, The Gathering, Shadow Gallery, Ayreon, etc would have gotten in.
I TOTALLY DISAGREE!!! Coke IS better than Pepsi. 😄😄😄 But I agree with most of.your choices. Good job as always. Also, you usually keep your videos short and speak a little fast. But I must say, for a French person like me, you speak clearly and it is easy to follow you. 👍👍👍 How many albums, cds do you have now in total?
Do you dislike Coke for political reasons and the wokenes? Or dislike it because the taste doesn't suit you? Just wondering. Good video by the way. For Heavy Metal we will die 🤘🤟 Just subbed.
I see lots of good taste but I want to ask: why no Rainbow, no Ozzy, no Metallica, only one Dio and much more Megadeth or even Judas Priest than Black Sabbath?
Yeah, their first 3 would have made my list. I would have had Mercyful Fate on there as well. The 80s would really be hard though...so many great heavy albums.

Hey Brice, you're best channel of rock I've seen
Of metal, for sure.
Been waiting for a video!!🤘🤘
I love this video! I am still really impressed with your taste in Hard Rock/Heavy Metal music all these months later after I subscribed to your channel. I love that you chose exactly what your number 1 pick is and your runner up even if it meant repeating the same band more than one time. I would have done example the same way. There are some of your number 1's that are my number 1 such as for 1991. Night Of The Stormrider is also my number 1 for 1991. It is a MASTERPIECE! Great video, and keep them coming!

British Steel...Right on..
Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka quite obviously 🙄 Cheers 🥂 now!

This is a great idea!
Good on you Bryce for slamming Coke. I am completely done with that company also. 👍
I'm pleased to see the love you give to Ted Nugent. I think his music kind of gets swept under the rug because of all his personal craziness, but there is no doubt he can rock with the best of 'em. Just put on one of these albums and the music speaks for itself.
Great list, Bryce. I was going to post my own list but I agree with just about all of yours.
A hard task to do mate and your Sad Wings of Destiny album is on the wall 😂
1995 - Slaughter of the Soul and 1996 - The Jester Race, both monumental and legendary. Nothing can come even close to these two. Also, 2001 - The Secret of the Runes

Thoughts: Wow, Sabbath and purple dominated the early 70s.

Haven’t heard it will have to check it out
Hooded Menace covered "The Torture Never Stops" on their new album and it's really great. Worth checking out
You Sir, have given me a project...still working on it 🤘
So many albums for anyone to go through year by year top 2.
Great list🤘
Even though I don't agree with a lot of it LOL
Those early Nugent albums are fantastic.
My man, how did you get Symbolic on vinyl?
Ordered from Relapse Records website like 6 years ago I believe

What do you think of the new cradle song? I love it and can't wait for the new album.
It’s good, liked the first single better though… album should be great
Are you planning on doing a stream soon?
Perhaps
The way you pronouce mgła is so funny 🤣 sounds more French than Polish.
Great video tho, than for making it!
Interesting. I was on board until about 1992, then...well, metal is huge. In my case bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Paradise Lost, Tiamat, The Gathering, Shadow Gallery, Ayreon, etc would have gotten in.
Good list and choices overall. Images and Words not at the top spot of '92 or honor mention?? Hmm
Hell yes...Asagraum !
Hello Bryce do you use a blue screen or is that your room?
Its his room, he has posters and vinyl sleeves on the walls.
Hey,you should do a video on Overkill
I'm surprised you don't have any Metal Church albums in any of you line ups. The Dark is great. :)
You really know what talking about wow
Do you like def leppard you said you like Pryomaina opion on the rest
First 3 albums
@@brycetalksmetal do you like hysteria and Adrenlinlize or none
your top two for 1982 i had that way but at one time it was reversed
Sad Wings Vinyl is on the wall behind you bro. LOL
Was Megadeth close in 2011?
It would make my top 10
I hate but also madly respect the fact that you put no Metallica on here
I TOTALLY DISAGREE!!! Coke IS better than Pepsi. 😄😄😄
But I agree with most of.your choices. Good job as always.
Also, you usually keep your videos short and speak a little fast. But I must say, for a French person like me, you speak clearly and it is easy to follow you. 👍👍👍
How many albums, cds do you have now in total?
Thanks! And I have around 900
Do you dislike Coke for political reasons and the wokenes? Or dislike it because the taste doesn't suit you? Just wondering. Good video by the way. For Heavy Metal we will die 🤘🤟
Just subbed.
the most overlooked metal band of all time Macabre. the best metal album of 2000 is easily Macabre: Dahmer. if you dont know it you really should.
Podrías hacer la lista abajo. Qué eres un rollero
Somewhere in time over puppets for 86 is rough man
Nice opinion
Sometimes an RC goes down better honestly
Man don’t even know if I can get RC Cola in my area
Bryce, you must be a Virgo. I am! LOL! Even though I don’t drink soda anymore. Pepsi sucks and so does RC Cola. LOL!
rc cola awesome
No Queen? :/ damn…. Great album choices…… but I was hoping to see Queen show up at least once though
RC Cola still exists?!?!
No Slayer,no Metallica,no Sepultura,no Kreator...wtf???
i had to stop you to go listen to “hard as nails”
only from the 80's then end at the 90's...thats all I wanna hear... BON JOVI not included
Still waiting for the cradle of filth ranking
Coke is not trash Bryce lol
Enjoyed the list, but too much Black, Death and Megadeth for me. '89 should have been 'The Headless Children', no?
Top 10 for sure but not top 2 for me
@@brycetalksmetal Fair enough. I guess that I'm biased, as it's my favourite W.A.S.P. album.
I see lots of good taste but I want to ask: why no Rainbow, no Ozzy, no Metallica, only one Dio and much more Megadeth or even Judas Priest than Black Sabbath?
Bc it’s my list and I can put what I want. Sabbath had more top spots than Priest btw
Why no love for Metallica??
Yeah, their first 3 would have made my list. I would have had Mercyful Fate on there as well. The 80s would really be hard though...so many great heavy albums.
Every time you mention the M-word you have to pay the band for copyright reasons 😂
