You can legit see in his eyes that even after these years later, it still haunts him. Imagine your mom & dad being murdered right in front of you as a kid. I felt so sorry for the guy. There are so many things I love about this scene. The twilight cinematography highlights the small details that give this Gotham its dark and gritty tone. Every sign, every small detail. The landscape shots feel like something out of GTA V, almost a story building tactic. Love it.

I noticed when Something in the way was played in the trailers, the lyrics perfectly summed up Batmans livelihood of this film: “Underneath the bridge tarp has sprung a leak.” Foreshadow of Riddler destroying the sea walls. “And the animals I’ve trapped have all become my pets” Arkham Asylum in a nutshell. “And I’m living of of Grass and the drippings from the ceiling.” Not so sure of this one, but it could represent the decay of Gotham. “It’s okay to eat fish because they don’t have any feelings” Penguin is who this relates to and add the whole “sleeping with the fishes” mantra comes into play too when you look at the mob setup of Gotham. Wow what a layered movie.
I am a big fan of Rorschach and the ideal that both him and Batman represent. They are really two sides of the same coin, taken to the extreme, never kill and make tem suffer, or don't ever let the bad guys live, choose your poison. You comment just made my day, thank you.

Pattinson was amazing both as Bruce and Batman, specially the last one. Considering his Bruce persona still is not that developed, the sequels can do the job, this movie as introduction was excellent.
