@@itn0687He has won National Award (Kaanchivaram) with original subjects as well as International Awards with original ideas. The films which gave him money were remade as well as original but the films which gave him accolades as well as saved his life were originals.
Somethings he should do:
1. Reunite with old directors of him like Priyettan (Priyadarshan) or Neeraj Pandey as it would create hype because these two are the most favorite directors of his fans.
2. Do big budget films like BMCM or Skyforce. (not my viewpoint but other fans point.)
3. Collaborate with South big stars like he has many connections in Mollywood as well as work with good Tamil directors like Lokesh Kanagraj or Nelson Dilipkumar.
4. STOP BEING INVOLVED IN POLITICS. Sunny Deol interview mein politics par baat nahi karte or Akki se media wale sab par opinion lena chahte.
5. Stay away from Farhad Samji, Pooja Entertainment & Ahmed Khan.
6. Now start doing multiple genres films again and experimental roles.
He needs to work on it as ab unke khud ke fans unke khilaaf ho gaye, He should try to understand his fans. I have an unpopular opinion that Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome 3 are forceful sequels as unke liye accha director choose nahi kiya or film bana rahe by using the brand name. I would try to meet Akki or if I become a filmmaker so work with him.
He got Nana,Anil dropped from Welcome 3..as they overshadowed him in 1st part due to it he didn't work in part2 ..Hera pheri franchise should move on from akki,Sunil Shetty.. ayushman, Rajkumar Rao are better replacement to take the franchise forward

I may be wrong here but I think Akshay really doesn't care about what the audience wants or what the critics are saying as long as the producers are willing to sign him and ready to fulfil all his demands (fees).
I really like him as an actor, I was a regular viewer of his films, still very much enjoy watching his earlier films but since I started to notice his hypocritical side I don't feel like watching his films anymore, the new ones I mean. I came to realise after watching multiple interviews of his that all he cares about is money. if you give him enough money he can do anything you want, not just the endorsement part but also the political stuff he does directly or indirectly.
No, you didn't hear his last interview. He is not taking money for movies that he produces. All his last movies even Mission Raniganj and OMG 2 are produced by him.

As per my understanding same thing is happening with Salman and Akshay. These two have great potential but they have started taking audience for granted. They put zero effort, same formula driven approach. I literally feel they just change costume and shoot movies. Incase of srk things started working as we are literaly seeing new side of him. Same with other movies like RRR, Pushpa,KGF even though story is not new yet actors were new for us. Akshay should literally reboot himself. But that won't be possible he will make 7 movies and also justify that he is correct. But at the end of day i want Akshay Kumar back with a bang.
Where you go to theatres in a year you see only Akshay Kumar face on poster due to his high movie count this sometimes create a irritation even though he deliever a good or bad film

2 month is very less considering his current frequency of films ... he should come next right in Eid 2024 with BMCM ... before that, no films ... and a strict break from OTT as well, because OTT makes an actor more available and somehow the larger-than-life image of theirs fades the more they appear on such platforms

If you have noticed, Akshay never look into the eyes of the co actor while telling his dialogues. He always looks a bit off the person, may be he delivers his lines reading from somewhere. This is very much visible in the sanitary pad ad, Good newzz, Selfie and other latest movies.
I don't know ..but that charming look in OMG 2 was a treat to watch Akshay on big screen... He was the star in the movie....his screen presence brought some magical power in the movie...

Akshay and Ayushmann Khurana will have tough time at box office. They were making mid budget films that were reaping them big benefits. However, post-covid people are too much into OTT, and they will only go to theatres if there is an event massive movie release. I mean I don't have to go and watch a drama film in theatres when I know it will come on OTT within a month. However, I can't miss Jawan/Top Gun because those films are made for community watching experience.

Totally off topic....Is it just me or did anyone notice in OMG 2 when Akshay Kumar sang the Gadar song "ke ghar aaja pardesi..". Apparently, that was not the song originally placed in the movie. That was clearly an after thought since Gadar 2 was releasing at the same time as OMG2. You can clearly see the mismatch in lip sync.
Clearly the audience has seen too much of Akshay kumar in recent years. Even if he gives a hit movie ,that won't revive his career as a super star. Need to take a break and come back with a bang

The only reason is that he only looks for scripts that can be completed in a month! Which is a very wrong approach. Earlier it used to work but now every good script needs time.
Problem is that he switched his lanes so abruptly. Akshay used to be an action-comedy God. No one did action comedy better than him in his prime. Which is why he had nicknames like Action Kumar and Khiladi. There was never a better leading comedy man than him, it just came so naturally to him as an actor and he fit perfectly. He essentially built the comedy wave of the 2000s with Priyadarshan and his comedy squad. But then for some reason in late 2010s he abruptly abandoned both action and comedy and started doing either weird over the top patriotism-selling films or kept holding onto milked out franchises and every random script he got. On top of that the focus of quality instead of quantity and choosing bad directors. Strange and sad, but I guess nothing lasts forever.
All he needs to revive his career, however, I think is one collaboration with Priyadarshan and one collaboration with Neeraj Pandey again. With the same writers and squads.

They can easily skip movies which don't have extraordinary stories or larger than life scenes n all Akshay's films belong to this category.

All producers have made all actors sit on their head making them lose track in making good films by agreeing to their demand of giving them high fees rather than focusing on good content. Content is the king, not actor which creats good results. For example like aamir khan's dangal, 3 idiots , tare zameen par and lapataa ladies are movies related to woman empowerment and other social issues people face in real.life such movies only give good results in the end rather focusing just on stardom and giving roles to people asking high fees due to stardom and not doing anything

Covid 19 is the major reason where audience got exposed to supreme content on platforms like netflix ,prime etc .Most of his recent flops are decent but are not capable of building enthusiasm for a theatre watch . Yes previously he gave 4 hits in a year and was one man industry for a long time no doubt but he should change with time . His content movies should be released on OTT and high octane action entertainers in theatres . Akshay needs to speak to Rajiv Bhatia take time focus he is hands down best in action all over india his round off kicks are a delight waiting for BMCM .
