The main reason we still see Akshay Kumar in the big budget movies is simply due to the fact that he’s the filmmakers’ actor. He comply with everything they say if they are willing to match his fee. He does not care about exclusivity. He is purely a businessman wearing an actor’s skin. And there are countless those who does not care about the investment and return while making movies, they simply want their names to get attached with one of the biggest stars in the industry to keep their continuation. Akshay is the easiest star actor to avail that for those crop of producers. And from his perspective, he isn’t going to be a lead face for long so he will milk every rupee he can before he starts to get the roles of father and such.
Raniganjh was a beautiful movie. It showed the struggle of people who were trapped as well as those who genuinely wanted to rescue. It was a movie of hope. Felt bad when you said it was a flop.
I really don't think the problem here is doing 3-4 movies a year, because back in 2006-07 he did the same thing but gave us movies like Bhagam Bhaag, Hey Baby, Bhool Bhulaiya, Welcome and Phir Hera Pheri, so it's about selecting good scripts and working with good Directors. 😊 As long as the Audience is enjoying the movies, you can make even 12 movies a year, who cares. 😄

Over exposure does lead to boredom of the audience. Like if we consider Hrithik Roshan for an example he do a movie promotes it and just vanishes. Nobody has any clue about him what time is he eating or what is he doing. He keeps himself undergorund but does give some glimpses of him so that the spark is never ending but yeah sometimes the time gap does become too long like Fighter and War 2. But that thing does benifit him as it gives audience something new to know about their favourite superstar.

Then Special 26 (2013) and Baby (2014), both Neeraj Pandey directorials happened, and what began was his golden phase. And that lasted for a solid five years, till 2019. Jolly LLB 3 will be the key. I think he will still do 15 more movies, those movies will decide his fate.

i personally think that she did her part very well in all the films. It was the script and screenplay of these respective films that took them down. Currently, she is one of the finest actors in bollywood.
Just another factor, the total boxoffice collections do not go back to distributors/ producers. In most cases 50-60% of the net boxoffice in India goes back to the producer/distributor, so technically Akshays movies have lost far more than is shown here. There are countless variables when it comes to the boxoffice of indian movies, so in all honesty it is very hard to verify whether films even earn as much as is claimed.

The main reason we still see Akshay Kumar in the big budget movies is simply due to the fact that he’s the filmmakers’ actor. He comply with everything they say if they are willing to match his fee. He does not care about exclusivity. He is purely a businessman wearing an actor’s skin. And there are countless those who does not care about the investment and return while making movies, they simply want their names to get attached with one of the biggest stars in the industry to keep their continuation. Akshay is the easiest star actor to avail that for those crop of producers. And from his perspective, he isn’t going to be a lead face for long so he will milk every rupee he can before he starts to get the roles of father and such.
Raniganjh was a beautiful movie. It showed the struggle of people who were trapped as well as those who genuinely wanted to rescue. It was a movie of hope. Felt bad when you said it was a flop.

I think he will still do 15 more movies, those movies will decide his fate.
