I am myself a kalaripayatu and taekwondo artist and I am fully aware that still someone with knowledge in kravamaga or capieora or ninjitsu or 100s of other martial arts can kick my ass... The first thing in a martial art taught is to leave ego outside and respect your opponents knowledge. You never know what he is going to bring to the fight.

I have been training for 2 years without paying attention to how much protein i should take. Anh honestly i didnt see any drastic result. From last year i have started good quality whey protein and good amount of protein in each meal and now even being a woman i can see a good muscle growth with good weight training. Muscle grown by weigh lifting is due to tearing down muscle fibre and growing them . If you just eat healthy food you can still grow muscles . ( Eating food is enough to gain protein you will normally need . Yes too much proteins will cause amino acid and gastric issue , Too less proteins will result in loss of muscles and slow recovery but you will definately not face either of issues in normal case ) My comment is meant for normal people who are training for healthy body and is definately not meant for professional aiming for a body aimed at bulking ,low body fat or for professional sport .

I have been a Taekwondo artist; any such art form or sport takes years of dedication and practice, what we call Saadhanaa…. Same with a fitness regime which is a combination of diet and incrementally controlled exercise. Recently, I have joined the Orange Theory Fitness and am loving the concept of targeting body fat composition while improving heart rate functions… but a bad diet can’t be made up even with OTF; they always suggest at least 90gm protein per day, even for people with higher weight, to build muscles so that we can lose the fat….so this is a BS statement that food is nothing in bodybuilding; protein intake is unnecessary etc. are so misleading statements

I have been training for 2 years without paying attention to how much protein i should take. Anh honestly i didnt see any drastic result.
From last year i have started good quality whey protein and good amount of protein in each meal and now even being a woman i can see a good muscle growth with good weight training.

Same with a fitness regime which is a combination of diet and incrementally controlled exercise. Recently, I have joined the Orange Theory Fitness and am loving the concept of targeting body fat composition while improving heart rate functions… but a bad diet can’t be made up even with OTF; they always suggest at least 90gm protein per day, even for people with higher weight, to build muscles so that we can lose the fat….so this is a BS statement that food is nothing in bodybuilding; protein intake is unnecessary etc. are so misleading statements
