  • They say you haven't lived until you've served your own draft beer on tap in your personal boozer. For this you'll need a keezer and that's exactly what Ed and Andrew build in this video using an old chest freezer.
🍺 EQUIPMENT (from regulator to tap) 🍺
    -Regulator

    -Beer Pipe 3/8"
    a1barstuff.co....
    -Manifolds
    brewkegtap.co....
    -Keg Quick Disconnects

-John Guest Fittings for Keg Quick Disconnects

-John Guest Fittings for Pipe to Tap

    -Beer Pipe 3/16"

-John Guest Fittings for Tap Shanks

    -Taps
    brew2bottle.co...
    -Inkbird
    www.brewbrossh...
    Notes:
-we didn't use John Guest fittings to attach pipes to the manifolds, we soaked the ends in hot water to make them more malleable so they fit snugly over the barbs
-in the UK, the John Guest fittings were cheaper in bulk from tvsbeverage.ms...
    -for our 8 tap setup we used 3/16" pipe x 15m and 3/8" x 12m
    ❄️ KEEZER MATERIALS ❄️
    -old chest freezer
    -CLS 4in x 2in (2 x 2.4m lengths)
    -corner brace x 8
    -screws
    -Gripfill Solvent-free
-standard 15mm heating pipe insulation (which we will replace in due course)
-shortly after filming we added a couple of chains hooked on the wall to keep the gas cylinders upright
-a few tools (Ed and Andrew), some patience and beers

Any plans to run a cold water recirc to combat fobbing as the beer in the line warms up?
Submersible pump in a bucket of water in the fridge looked through the insulation should be enough to stop it. I suspect without constant pouring you may run into issues.

Yeah potentially in time, for now we're going to see how it behaves and go with the constant pouring approach 🥴😂 There will be a follow up vid if/when we need to make alterations. Cheers!

@@BrewBrosUK I opted for an inline chiller. Has a recirc pump built in. Ordered python line to go with it which makes life easier.
Means I can just change to a new keg whenever and it doesn’t have to be cold. Game changer!
