Coming from rl and trainz, foreign engines are much lighter built than those of America. Not only does the Hudson pull more than the others, but it also stays as fast or faster. Even the DRG pulled ahead of the Mallard. However, in the case of the DRG it was pulling what appears to be a much lighter load than even the Mallard, yet it still slightly struggled on takeoff. The accuracy of the e-spec in these engines can be questioned but is usually quite accurate to the original. It may not be the best, but the DRG and Hudson deserve a better spot compared to Mallard. Also what is the name of the other drivers that can be in the Hudson? I personally prefer them because they are different but don't know the name. Great content and video as always. The drivers you mentioned was called the Scullin disc drivers, I also prefer them to the Box Pok drivers. They looked very cool on the Mohawk as well. 😎 I believe that the script of the BR 05 001 by 3DZUG is legit on paper but we have the feeling that it is a bit underpowered in the game, the script of the smoke effect is very well done though. I wish we could reskin the BR 05 001/002 but unlike K&L Trainz, 3DZUG doesn't "encourage" user to modify their products. 😊
I can see where your coming from! Streamlining is a very tricky subject. It makes trains faster, but to some it takes away the original look of the locomotive. Thankfully for all sides of the spectrum, K&L has both versions that you can buy!

Out of interest have you considered purchasing The LNER A4s that Darlington Works create, not only are these more modernised than the old DLS (that's surely bin around since Trainz was first created), but also the spec seems more accurate as well.
Sorry, but I'd call Part One an inaccurate / unfair test, since #05 001 has a much lighter load behind her compared with Mallard and those Gresley Teak coaches. Then again, it still took her a bit of time to get in front; might just be a difference in their load limit.
Thank you for your constructive opinion. 😊 We tried to recreate the trainset/consist of both LNER Mallard and BR 05 which they hauled when they created their historical speed record in real life. For the Mallard, it was a 240 tons 7-car consist and 197 tons 4-car consist for the 05 001. We couldn't get the exact weight in the game, therefore, the consist of Mallard was heavier than the 05 001 in the video. We could arrange another race for them hauling identical consist. 🏆

This simulator makes no sense 4468 Mallard can go 126mph which makes her the fastest steam loco in the world. The A4 class is way faster than the Hudsons. In 1935, a4 2509 beat all speed records with 112 mph on its first run! Hate to break it to u but the simulator makes no sense. I did enjoy the video nevertheless. Good job!
May I remind you that is a speed record not average speed and the mallard was going down hill the average speed in service of the a4 Pacific is 90 mph the j3a Hudson is faster but never broke the record

On flat land, A4s were capable of only 85mph for only a short period of time, or else self-inflicted damage would result.

The Hudsons’ maximum speed was on 95 mph, streamlined, and many a4s went over 100 mph
The A4 was going down hill when it achieved the speed record.
The A4's were made for speed of over 100mph, fastest speed i believe is 113.2mph, The Dreyfuss Hudsons were {IMPROVED} to do atlwast 100mph
