I lost my sister to cancer five years ago. I am about to drive to NYC for mothers day to possibly talk to my mother for the last time, she has cancer in both lungs. To the person reading this, your pain, is our pain. Its a shared heartbreak and you are not alone. We are all connected in ways most of us do not begin to understand. The fleeting moment that life is, don't waste on petty arguments political or otherwise. Love is the reason we walk this earth. Stop letting people split us up into categories. We are all brothers and sisters.
This song has really helped me. I've been having several medical problems over the past couple years, and I found out a couple months ago that I have Ehlers Danlos, a hereditary connective tissue disorder. And on the 20th I'm going to be tested to see if I have Cystic Fibrosis. I've been out of school for about 5 months now, and rarely see my friends. But this song has helped me so much in my current condition. Thank you SO much Jack's Mannequin! I can't wait to see you guys on Feb 6th :)
I heard Afgan was a shit show. I realized that was true when an Air Force operator earned a MOH there. I wanted to fight there. But I got Iraq instead. Glad to know I'm not crazy though. I really thought I was the only JM fan in the world lol!
Im the only guy I know that really appreciates Jacks Mannequin and what Andrew does. I think I speak for all of us when I say: I can wait to see what Andrew has in store for us next :)
Well, Something Corporate was his first older band and just as good. Hes always been one of my favorite artists, its a shame more people dont know him. Check out Down, Ruthless, Hurricane, Wont up in a Car, ect. All great songs.
Those first few lines mean so much to me... I've been so stressed with possible cancer and have an appointment tomorrow. This song just seems to give me some hope that everything will be okay. Thank you Jack's Mannequin :]
Because great music like this isn't on the radio. Also, people are too lazy and scared to look for music that they can really enjoy and feel proud of listening to music that has a true meaning.
What an amazing person. Even after going through what he did with lukemia and everything else, he is still pursuing his dream. It shows how good I have it. Thank you, Andrew McMahon, for providing me with the insight I desperately needed in this rough patch of my life. I will remember you forever.
THis is my favorite of Jack's M songs, the video just doesnt capture the entirety of the song. this is an epic piece of music that should captivate his life and musical career. He's in LA, ca. There are numerous ideas the director should've ran with. not just hearts in the sand. But the song is incredible
550,000? wtf? This is meaningful music with powerful lyrics and an undeniably fun melody? how is it being left in the dust by the other crap on youtube?
i've followed andrew ever since i saw the music video to if you c jordan. it was on some weird compilation cd with some underground bands. i just absolutely love him and everything he stands for. he is by far the most inspirational musician out of all the musicians i love.
this group was recommended to me on tidal music a few days ago and all of their songs are amazing. its a shame that this video only has 1 million views. WAY under-appreciated imo
If anyone hasn't seen him play live, you're truly missing out. Out of all the concerts I've seen, Andrew and his band put on the best live performance I've ever been to.
I'd like to see Andrew and Ace Enders from The Early November do a collaboration piece. Though once I see it, I am pretty sure my heart would stop. Worth it.
Oh man. I didn't realize until I listened to the album from beginning to end that it references the song Annie Use Your Telescope when it says "Annie I'm almost home" I died and went to heaven. NEW CD COMING OUT THIS YEAR AWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAHHHH!
This song is seriously amazing. Andrew is soo inspirational, continuing to pursue his dreams and create such amazing music even after all he has gone through! :)
Great song, I especially love the detracted visuals. I find it kind of cool how there're people who can bring stunning cerebral visions,in order to make an incredible music video come to life.
Um i think that people need to stop hating. Stephanie is a great person i think and i admire her for all the success she has made. I for one AM NOT A TWILIGHT FAN. i didn't really like it. But i am currently reading the host series and i have a new perspective on her. Jack's Mannequin is still good just because Stephani Meyer directed it doesn't change the work. Open your hearts people and actually pick up one of the books before going on and hating for no reason but judgementalness.
does anyone know id this video is based off his experience of going through leukemia? thats what i heard, but anyway this is my favorite song by them. Its so inspirational and gives me chills everytime!
Andrew McMahon and his amazing music have given me a new perspective, love, and respect for life. People like him are far and few between. I love you Andrew--you saved my life.
Piano rock needs a comeback.
I went through 13 years of a heroin addiction and now i have 8 years clean and this song still makes me tear up

My condolences. I lost loved ones on my mother's side to cancer. We are both united on this front.
Possibly my most listened to album during high school. This album is exceptionally beautiful.
You deserve a "Bless your heart." ❤
Absolutely agree!
here on 2022, this is a gem
I'm here on November 2024!!
Words can't describe how beautiful this song, this man, and this band is.
Holy balls I forgot how good this song is.

Every so often I find myself listening to Jack's. This music will always make me think of an ex I haven't spoken to in over a decade.
This band got me through Iraq :-)
@@beatonm198 i have several friends that say that! apparently that was their motive even if they didn't know it.
Still getting people through hard times ❤️❤️
@@beatonm198 Really!? That's nuts. I found my copy at a Hastings. That company is dead now. I can't imagine finding this at a FOB.
I heard Afgan was a shit show. I realized that was true when an Air Force operator earned a MOH there. I wanted to fight there. But I got Iraq instead. Glad to know I'm not crazy though. I really thought I was the only JM fan in the world lol!
I'm glad you found something to get through it, and glad you were able to come back. Thank you for your service.
Who remembers when they played this non stop on The-n? Good memories.
noodlechick90 holy shit I forgot about The N!
THE MOTHERFUCKING N!!!! That was my shit back in the day!
Dramatic teens unite!
I just walk around struggling with life, repeating snippets of this song to myself whenever I need the boost.
Im the only guy I know that really appreciates Jacks Mannequin and what Andrew does. I think I speak for all of us when I say: I can wait to see what Andrew has in store for us next :)
Heard this in a store somewhere I think maybe 6 or so years ago. Been getting into all things Andrew McMahon as of late. This man is art beyond words.
I get that this band is really old but I just found them like an hour ago and I'm in love already wowowowowow
Andrew McMahon is an amazing artist. All his stuff is great. Check out Something Corporate and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness
The first time I heard this was Six years ago on TeenNick Music Videos. Loved that shit...
IT AINT OLD AT ALL
Well, Something Corporate was his first older band and just as good. Hes always been one of my favorite artists, its a shame more people dont know him. Check out Down, Ruthless, Hurricane, Wont up in a Car, ect. All great songs.
Im sorry...really old.... what 😳
This song reminds me to throw away all the petty and stupid things in life, and remember that living is the best gift I could ever have.
jack's mannequin is amazing!

I'm going to see Jack's Mannequin tonight!
Man, he's so talented. One of the most talented people in the world.
I miss these days
Wow, memories. I randomly recalled this song :D so many years
Those first few lines mean so much to me... I've been so stressed with possible cancer and have an appointment tomorrow. This song just seems to give me some hope that everything will be okay. Thank you Jack's Mannequin :]

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful songs ever. Thank you Jack’s Mannequin 🙏❤️
Almost six years later I'm still searching for the resolution.
Did you find it?
Not only that. It's a really moving song about over coming something. A real force after his battles with disease.
there is nothing you can say negative about this band. amazing story. amazing music.

At that first “and you hold me down” really just idk, it hooked me

22 people are weeping for the awesome that used to be this song.
I am Jack's weeping soul
Is that you Mr. Durden?
this group was recommended to me on tidal music a few days ago and all of their songs are amazing. its a shame that this video only has 1 million views. WAY under-appreciated imo

Kinda disheartening to see this song only got 1 million views.
it's crazy to see how much he's grown up!!
I'd like to see Andrew and Ace Enders from The Early November do a collaboration piece. Though once I see it, I am pretty sure my heart would stop. Worth it.
Kevin P there are collabs
Andrew... you are my hero. I love your music so much, and the Dear Jack DVD made me cry.
i get to see him in less than 24hrs!!!!!!! house of blues new orleans, can't freakin wait!!
Oh man. I didn't realize until I listened to the album from beginning to end that it references the song Annie Use Your Telescope when it says "Annie I'm almost home" I died and went to heaven.

jacks mannequin is so freakin good all his songs are so classic
I've listened to Jack's Mannequin for a very long time, but I still heard this song on the radio.
何回も聴きに来る…すごく好きだ
こんな感じの繋がっていくメロディは洋楽ならではだなってつくづく思う
You know I don't speak Spanish!
"And you hold me down
And you got me living in the past
Come on and pick me up
Somebody clear the wreckage from the blast"
I know this song for a while now, but had it ever appeard on a tv show or a movie, because it sounds very familiar.
But so damn good!!
Meyer REALLY co-directed this?! It's an awesome song, and there were no sparkley vampires in it, so I give it an A. :)
2:49 Love that smile!
video Stephenie Meyer
@immortalbookworm I think it's cute how he sings. It makes him look like he's really into singing and not what other's are thinking.
♪...And the bars are finally closed
So I try living in the moment
'Til the moment it just froze
And I felt sick and so alone...♫

Why isnt this more famous?
@Sw00zies best set at coachella by far!!! so amazing!
@iharber I don't care how his moth looks, all I care about is the beautiful sound that comes out of it.
The videoclip was directed by Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga. Really inspirational. Love it :)

Andrew McMahon and his amazing music have given me a new perspective, love, and respect for life. People like him are far and few between. I love you Andrew--you saved my life.

What a great song, should have a lot more views though
BEST SONG EVER EVEN FOR 5 YEARS LISTENING TO IT
@shasha821
it wasn't directed by her she just created the concept. Noble Jones was the director.
Andrew continues to be the only lead singer of any bands i like whom i cannot recognize when i see him
Thank you.
And I probably wouldn't have made it through high school without Something Corporate :P
I feel this comment
This song is my life.
jack's mannequin is amazing!
He is truly beautiful inside and out.
Love the bass line!
