As of 2nd April 2024, there are 264 different 50p coins altogether! The biggest gaps in my collection are 15 of the 40th anniversary 2009 NIFC reissues, and 22 of the coloured issues.

Hi I recently was disgustingly been given a 50pin my change it was black but I don’t know if someone had painted it anyway just because it’s the way I am I cleaned it and it is a 2016 swim team GB coin the one with the gentleman but it has really errors it’s almost wobbly it’s dents and one end is bashed, I’ve never seen what I don’t know how you would do this to a coin and I’m wondering if they might be mint errors
Maverick this coin also came out in the small size as part of the 40th anniversary of the 50p dated 2009 ..it is current joint 1st in the rarest 50ps with a known mintage (1039)...

I actually have full sets of all English pressed coins, pre decimal & all 50p's including EEC duel date £1's & £2's again including the fabled northern Ireland commonwealth coin & nearly all printed bank notes. You see one of my friends is a drug dealer & a lot of low lifes paid in change for their smoke I swapped out coins with him. I'd completed sets long before the collecting craze even started.

It’s all absolutely bull crap the 50p are worth only 50p so all the collecting is a waste of time just spend them
A lot of people will just spend them as 50p but for those that collect a higher price is paid for the rarer ones they still need
