I can tell you that including all of the NIFCs, and coloured 50p coins, there are 13 plastic sheets now! With 20 coins on each sheet, that is without any odd varieties. I don't have all of them yet, but I'm working on it, although it's hard enough just to keep up with the Royal Mint's output!
I used to have some that are "valued" at £300+ but they weren't selling at those sort of prices a few years ago. It just depends how much someone, who is desperate to complete their collection, will realistically pay for them.
Giving us images of the coin designers was a very nice touch in this video. Good idea. It does raise a question though. Emma Noble certainly nabbed a choice gig when she got to design ALL of the Beatrix Potter coins. Perhaps they should have used a range of designers, as with the Olympics? Diversity is something that the Royal Mint claims they care about. So, why give a single designer a monopoly to design an entire range of coins?
Well my 13 coin collection is worth under 8 quid and i was thinking with ebay prices i could cash in and buy an island in the sun 😂 good informative vid
Love the fact that there was so many wonderful and lovely designers of these 50p coins and I absolutely loved the Kew Gardens which I will never afford, the Beatrix Potter collection especially TOM KITTEN, SHERLOCK HOLMES, AND PADDINGTON BEAR!!! GARYBAILEY Also can't forget the Women's Suffrage Movement!!!
I am so happy that you did this with the 50p coins I wondered what they might be worth, I have none but wish to get some!! Gary Bailey P.S. Love that Emma Noble , Wow Also love the Suffrage designer Absolutely love the Kew Gardens Sherlock Holmes, Hello Claire Aldridge and Sarah , Kerry, What lovely Designers, Natasha, these are all fantastic I love them all , especially Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit and Friends, Hello Deborah, Sarah Harvey, love TOM KITTEN,
Thank you for this. Interesting about the Atlantic Salmon, currently selling around £10 as the rumour is the 2023 mintage is around 500k. I dont believe any 2024 in circulation at this moment in time. I guess its a waiting game until RM release the numbers.
Very conservative pricing. Anybody who sells at auction will be imo pleasantly surprised - trick is to sell 5 at a time, putting one what you consider a collectable in the mix, watch those bids rise 😊
The aquatics 50p with lines over the face I have just seen online for £ 3995-00 for a sealed Brilliant Uncirculated one. Allegedly there were only 600 minted in total.
Why were different numbers of olympic coins produced? Was it that they only made 1 or 2 dies and when they failed, productions stopped? Or are the RM creating a collectors market? Similarly the Potter coins - differing mintages but why?
A wonderfull video l'm short one Olympic coin for my collection , getting the B Potter set and pondering the kew garden (local dealer) So lovely to see :)
Mmmmm... I'm wondering... will I add the values for the coins in the two videos and go on that value?? Just saying... I'm also confused? Was I on the mushrooms a day ago... or... maybe you were!? 😁🍄🤣
Can I ask a question? I’ve got a set of coins 2p 1p or p 10p 5p and all of them say new pants on them all of them every single one of them it’s in an old package what I bought and it says coin collection I’ve never seen it before I’ve had it for years and I’ve just looked and realised everyone of them say new pants even one penny even the pants even the pi pence to 10p It’s five coins and all five of them. I’ve all saying it and it actually gives you a card on the opposite side of it. You are one pence two pence five 10 is it? Is it? Cardboard is a blue how much is that worth it’s all new pants even the penny says the penny 5 10p and 2p, how much I don’t got a clue I just found it in my collection when they were looking
What were the commemorative 50p's with the different flags on. . . England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland? If I recall correctly, the one with the Northern Ireland flag on is the rarest, but you have to look REALLY closely, as it's almost indistinguishable from the England one.
I don’t remember seeing any 50p coins with the flags on only the £2 coins and yes the rare one was the northern Irish one with the red hand of Ulster on it.
in a nut shell, because what is going on right now my coin colection that is the best of, it now only worth the melt down, corution is so dam massive right now, if only you knew, Ive got some that aparent are the best around i hear from others in that do this stuff, now i know why it worth nothing now, this is the final year of exspose of the crown, im gonna spend mine on car parts
Wey if you are lucky enough then you can get a good one out of the coins. BUT COME ON FOLKS THINK ABOUT IT--- LISTEN TO HIM---- MOST OFTEN THAN NOT--- THE COINS ARE ONLY WORTH 50 PENCE........
You said the Hastings coin is valued at £1, but according to eBay they're worth £10,000.00 😂🤣 Turns out I'm not rich then 😂 Brilliant video as always CP mate 👌
Let's be realistic here, the only people making money from these collectable coins, are the treasury. There must be billions of these coins in collections, and unlikely to be exchanged for goods. That means the treasury is literally making a mint.
@@oml81mm You're STILL not getting it are you. A Kew Gardens 50p for instance is selling for £150. It's face value is 50p but it's worth £150. Most people find it easy to understand.
@CoinPatrol I have a number of US silver dollars which are worth either their face value or their scrap value (one troy ounce of silver) which is about £20.00 at the moment. However someone, somewhere might well offer me more, but I could not depend on realising that. The value that you are talking about is not fixed, but negotiable.

Because of the characters needed to be cohesive with each other

Paul - thanks for another informative video. Always nice to know the value of coins and how these rise and fall.
I had a Kew Gardens 50p in 2021!
If you have any of these coins, HOW do you sell them please.

love seeing all the designs clearly as i’ve noticed details ive not seen before
Cheers, Coin Chaser, thanks for watching 👍
50ps are my favourite coin, i have every one bar the aquatics one with the lines across the face, dont think i'll ever manage to acquire that one
Imaging having one of those turn up in your change
Hi do you have a RUclips channel or Instagram thanks
Hi Darren I like the 50ps I also have all of them a few times including the rare aquatics I would like to know what they are worth.
The aquatics 50p with lines over the face I have just seen online for £ 3995-00 for a sealed Brilliant Uncirculated one. Allegedly there were only 600 minted in total.
I have got few of these very 50p where can I sell these coins

Think there are a few there that may rise in price, Flopsy Bunny being one of them.
It’s bizarre that a circulated coin is selling for as much as (around) £8 and yet the silver proof is selling for (around) just £20!!
The Tom Kitten one just made me jump! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Excellent video, most informative!

I think it must be you Vossie
I hardly ever get any commemorative 50p or £2 coins in my change and I've never seen any King Charles coins. Even shop assistants haven't seen them.
Do you live in a bohemian fishing village?
How much is a fifty pence with the Queens head in a different position than other coins?
Paul Excellent video, most informative
Very informative video. Interesting. Thanks❤
I think you will find that the 2009 blue peter gymnastics in B.U. condition is worth a great deal more than 100 pounds.

Thank you again Paul 😊
New Sub here.
Thank you for the video. I've started collecting 50ps.

Hi AFCManUk. The coins you mean were minted to mark The Commonwealth Games in 2002. They are £2 coins, not 50p's
@@CoinPatrol Ahhh,,,of course! D'oh!

I have the original aquatics 50p the lines across the face. Is it real that it's worth 1000
Whos going to pay £1000 for the swimming one I've got two in my collection
If you've got one of the original swimming 50p's with lines on the swimmers face, I'll give you £1000 for it.
Hi Paul, I think the 23 Salmon will be low mintage if people are correct in saying the 24 is being minted at the moment.
It would be nice to have another low mintage 50p in circuation. I hope you're right Ian 👍
Rumour has it that there are only 500,000 of the 2023 non privy mark, Salmons, all of them for circulation only.
Is this a repeat?
Yes, I made a couple of cock up's and the only comments I was getting were about them. So I've put them right and re-uploaded.
Did you do Sherlock Holmes?
Got loads of them now I will sell them and get rich yaaaaay
Didn’t you post this the other day

How much is a new 50p voin worth with no date on it king Charles is on the front
There is a date on it. Here is a link to a video that will show you where it is:

I would guess 50p. Any more questions?
So you don't know the difference between face value and worth. Any more stupid answers.
