What is it with Japanese people having the more genuine excitement I’ve ever seen? That lucky Heracross/Articuno trade just made me super happy seeing that guy’s reaction to it.
I understand niantic wanting to bring back old players, but when they come out with something like this they need something for the people who never stopped playing. Just my opinion
Then there are the people who never quit and still have 20 or so odd Pokemon from the first two months of 2016. I'm not trading a guaranteed lucky to someone for any random Pokemon.
AGREED! New players like me are sorta screwed because of course i have no pokemon from 2016, DUH! But I understand that I can totally trade with someone who does have a Pokemon from 2016 and we would both get lucky'...
Agreed! I’m happy with these “getting old players back” stuff, it’s nice to get more people back into the game. But in this case I feel totally screwed! I’ve been conservative with my old Pokemon, but still feel totally ignored and cheated on since a lot of the Pokemon I REALLY wanted too be lucky didn’t turn out that way. And now it’s too late since they’re already traded... It feels like Niantic is just spitting on us who’s continued too play consistently since the beginning in this case!
he paid 1 million stardust for a sneasle. let me repeat he paid one million stardust for a sneasle. shiny magby isn't worth 1 million stardust. this is why trainer tips is an awful trainer.
1 million stardusts for a Sneasel ? 1 million stardusts for a shiny Magby ? Why ? Why ? Why ? Did they do it for publicity or fame ? (more like infamy to me)
I gave my five year old my Trainer Club account on PoGo because I had such a hard time logging in when the game started I gave up on it so it had my very first Charmander on it. I spent the week slowly raising the level to 10 so I could trade my son for that Charmander. I'm so happy to have my first Charmander back.
@@LaNoir. because I quite using it before they had the ability to link the account to Google. On the second day of game play. People from the beginning will know what I'm talking about. I've been playing since day one. I hadn't opened that account again until about two weeks ago just to see it. My son has been asking and asking to play my game so I just said he could use the other account. He had a blast being able to pick his team. By the time linking the account to Google came into being I was to far along in my game to switch back and my son was to little to play at that time. And now that trading is live I finally got my Charmander back. Honestly my son hasn't asked to play since I traded my first Charmander back to me.
@@edi10888 its just rng. Theres no way theres a limit to luckies. Thats like saying just becouse you didnt get that shiny during a CD you cant get it shiny at all.
So basically, this only works if both players are recently coming back. Why then didn't Niantic make lucky Pokémon have REDUCED CANDY COST!? If the goal is to "complete the pokedex", returning players won't have the candies nor the new Pokémon to evolve/trade for new entries. Also, lucky Pokémon incentivizes players to use more stardust to power up which is hard to come by when they're using that same stardust to trade for NEW Pokémon at lower levels of friendship!
No. He's wrong about how it works. The only restrictions are: One pokemon from 2016 must be sent and one of the people has to have less than 10 luckies...
Relax bro, the returning player has to give an old Pokémon so the frequent player hardly benefits from the trade. Also, the returning player gets a lucky, but no candies or extra stardust for power up/dex completion; instead spends more dust to do the trade in the first place.
Eduardo Moreno no man. It doesn't have to be returning players at all. Anyone with an old pokemon and anyone with less than 10 luckies can make this work. I know because I got two lucky dragonites and a lucky shiny duskull all with 90+ IV by trading 3 old pokemon from August to a co-worker who only had one lucky.
Alright, focusing on the actual topic of returning players. For example: (as a returning player) need a Poliwhirl, Poliwrath and Politoed in my dex; what good does getting a lucky Poliwhirl do me if I spent 20,000 dust for the new entry and only had 43 candy to begin with? If a guaranteed lucky is meant to help me power up/evolve for new entries, I still need more dust and candy. Otherwise, the promise of a reduced candy cost and dust with a lucky will definitely help in catching up.
Right on, that Lucky Shiny Articuno is straight up baller yo! Lucky Weedle though would have been nice.... lol What a great way to get better acquainted with those normally austere Japanese Pokémon Go players through trading! And that restaurant where you found that wild Tyranitar was really cool to see with all you RUclipsrs there and adding up the collective XP, such great moments you've documented and I'm always thankful to be able to see what it is like when I could not be there to see it in person. Thanks so much for the Japan videos and best of luck on Shiny Moltres Day. Peace out for now.

Downside is for those of us who trade frequently (having started on July 27, I have 41 lucky Pokemon registered), we got the short end of the stick with luckies being cut to basically nothing.
The same thing happened to me when I traded an Unown ? for Z. They turned lucky! I helped a local complete his Unown dex. For foreigners going to Japan, make a sign. It works! It took me only 10 minutes to make the Unown trade at the Yokosuka event.
The literal week after I traded all my July and August 2016 pokemon of my old account this new came out FML. I'm just going to cry in the corner and eat potato chips.
trade best friend for all their sandsrew ~ 1/1000 it's 100% and NOT lucky ~1/1200 it's 100% and ALSO lucky then turn around leverage that old sandsrew for a mewtwo or something. i give ~1/64 chances this works and you get a sufficiently good replacement before you randomly get 10 subpar luckies and the method won't work anymore. i know 1/64 sounds like really bad chances and it is, but it might work.

Dang you’ve got some crazy luck bro, I understand u may not like this proposal, but I’m going to put it out there anyways. The lucky odds have been so boosted even if you already had 10 luckies. It’s so great. Did 60 trades last night, got TEN luckies. 🤩🤩🤩
