On Articuno day, we popped in a gym at the last minute and beat if after 2pm in the US and one of the guys in our group did get a shiny, so i'm guessing its a little different than community day cutoffs and you can still snag it. We also had a Moltres raid here that had 25 minutes left on it after the 2pm cutoff...so weird....but it did not give Sky Attack. Unsure if it gave shinies to anyone...was almost all spoofers.

Hey mate, we had a moltres raid 16 mins after the raids ended!!. I got a few photos to show too!. The amazing part was the timer extended to a raid timer, not the normal 170 seconds!. One of the 6 of us got a shiny even with the dodgy raid :). Thanks for the great vids

Finished Moltres day in Birmingham UK (you should pay us a visit honestly) with some decent numbers. 43 raids completed (group did 2 more while I failed to catch a 98% and 93%) 6 shinies caught, one was 96% (15/13/15)
I don't live in a populated area, but my two brothers and I went out and three manned Moltress two times, both of which they caught and I didn't. So pretty disappointing but still heaps of fun taking down a Moltress with my brothers! 😀
When your throws seem suspect on a flying pokemon turn AR on and then off again. It will reset it to a default position and your throws should land normally.
Our Moltres day was rainy so I had to juggle my phone, my crochet/water and food bag, and my umbrella - harder than I expected lmao. However, I sucked at throwing and stopped after I got two - one regular with 96% IVs and a shiny one. Tho, I am glad I stopped when I did bc it started raining way harder after I left. >
In your Japan lapres vedio they tought you to catch it by going bottom left to top right or bottom right to top left (coner to coner) using that on flying pokemon helps a lot as well
Forget throwing curve balls at Moltres when it's up high. I would just do a normal toss and hit it. I did maybe 15 Moltres raids yesterday and only missed three. Got two shinies out of it--one with perfect IVs thankfully.
