@rockerdude29 i play an hour before work, 45 minutes at lunch time and a few hours every night :) haha every minute counts. ive been playing bass for 12 years. ive devoted a lot of my life strictly practicing
Like me....Homer Simpson in the background is opening his arms to praise you !...awesome playing dude.....guitar look pretty awesome too....the sound is really heavy and crunchy....5*****
greatest guitar on earth.. so small and comfortable, the carbon graphite neck gives it a really hollow percussive tone. i love it. wouldnt play anything else
@PenaltyoftheTyrant ive been playing bass for 12. the transition to guitar was fairly easy. ive only really spent the two years working on my picking hand, because my fret board hand flys
dude..... 2 years? thats fuckin legit... i've been playing for 3 and i'm nowhere near that precise at those speeds.. especially in improvisation.. fuckin good shit man.
@varulv234 its like an upward sweep on all 5th fret harmonics of every string. i mute slightly with the thumb. the same technique can be applied to any chord once you get it right. its hard to explain hope that helps
haha down the bottom of the guitar right on the bridge. think of it like a floyd rose without the headstock... the floyd uses double end-lock systems and you fine tune it on the bridge with spring loaded knobs. 40-1 pull ratio or somthing like that. you have to buy special steinberger double ball strings. they have locking balls at both ends they just clip into the steinberger guitar and you can tune up in seconds. its amazing.
@ralphgibsong LOL wow you are the most angriest person on the planet. your ignorance and comment amuses me. #1 i have a life. i spend most of it practicing my instruments :) #2 the video is not sped up at all. infact i can play much much faster than this. if you read the video description "this is not egotistical". just me jamming and playing in the moment. i have other videos up where play faster. i am however not interested in speed, but riff structuring. cheers for the comment
hehe nah man.. but alot were used on my solo death metal project called infinite density where i do everything! bass, guitar etc... i do contribute alot to neo's recent stuff.. i pretty much wrote all of the song xenoflux, except the solos :)
@niftycakes yeah like i said its just an improv video. no metronome just smashing it out on the fly. i then use these videos for reference of riffs i like then compose them into an actual song for my band :) cheers for the comment man
@noobrigde i play bass in ne obliviscaris, primordial space, aphotic dawn and guitar in my own solo project call infinite density :) they all have myspace's
Dam! Nice improv man :) may I suggest something though, try to get a USB mic and record the audio through a computer instead of the camera for killer quality :) they normally cost anywhere from £30 up
@varulv234 haha sorry man im a bass player, i kinda developed my own style of playing derived from a decade of playing bass. i just kinda wing it. i dont know any proper techniques or anything it was just the way i adapted to the guitar, morbid angel do those harmonic slides too especially on the album formulas fatal to the flesh. hes god of non traditional playing.
@ChristianAmparano it was an improv i made it up on the spot, ive been playing for a couple of years, many hours a day. all my playing is improvised on the spot i dont think about it i just let the music flow through me in a stream of thought. if i like certain parts i will watch the video back and turn those parts into a proper song
I do not give a single atom of care if you think my guitar looks like shit. So keep your opinions to yourself. I own a wide variety of guitars and to me Nothing on earth plays like my steinberger. I work for ESP Australia and I find they're guitars disgusting to play. The focus here is the shit emnating from my amp.. Not my guitar :-) And for those who like to know it's steinberger g4-R with APC persuader pickups. I will post another video soon. I don't have a video camera anymore
@Sidus666 thanks man, yeah i play for about 5 hours a day or more. Ive been playing bass for 11 years so the transition to guitar wasnt too hard. much more delicate though haha
@ralphgibsong Hey buddy, lots of dudes can play that fast. His camera just has a low frame rate so it looks choppy. It's quite impressive for having played for 2 years. My only criticism is that I think you try to have a more consistent groove, but I understand how riff making works. Sometimes the groove is there, sometimes it's not. Nice work dude.
its a long process when i find the time, but so far i have 7 songs... once the vocals get laid down i will start up a myspace and send you the link :) should be cool. i just really wanted to get behind the guitar in a band for once. the songs are much well structured and melodic than this video...
haha nah man its not strange at all... visual looks a little different but i own both headless and headstock guitars theres really no difference just visually the neck looks smaller. its an illusion.
hehe i like the Alien on the background. Nice playing!
@rockerdude29 i play an hour before work, 45 minutes at lunch time and a few hours every night :) haha every minute counts. ive been playing bass for 12 years. ive devoted a lot of my life strictly practicing
Wow finally found a vid with good BDM riffs. good job.
Like me....Homer Simpson in the background is opening his arms to praise you !...awesome playing dude.....guitar look pretty awesome too....the sound is really heavy and crunchy....5*****
@cygnusbass oh alright i see.
well sick ass improv man ive been playing this kind of music lately but havent got to your level. keep it up!
greatest guitar on earth.. so small and comfortable, the carbon graphite neck gives it a really hollow percussive tone. i love it. wouldnt play anything else
@PenaltyoftheTyrant ive been playing bass for 12. the transition to guitar was fairly easy. ive only really spent the two years working on my picking hand, because my fret board hand flys

2 years? .. cool story bro.
Kickass guitar dude.
I think you have the best tecnhique of youtube guitar players
Great playin man.
@varulv234 its like an upward sweep on all 5th fret harmonics of every string. i mute slightly with the thumb. the same technique can be applied to any chord once you get it right. its hard to explain hope that helps
its a similar model. i have a custom flame maple top. they are called steinbergers. amazing guitars. with a carbon fiber neck
looks like Paul's signature guitar (left hand) dude nice playing! ;D
sick dude seriously talented keep it brutal!
Perty damn slick bro!
epic and brutal man!!!
wow dude thats amazing ur good!!!!!!
this guy is awesome!
haha down the bottom of the guitar right on the bridge. think of it like a floyd rose without the headstock... the floyd uses double end-lock systems and you fine tune it on the bridge with spring loaded knobs. 40-1 pull ratio or somthing like that. you have to buy special steinberger double ball strings. they have locking balls at both ends they just clip into the steinberger guitar and you can tune up in seconds. its amazing.
Ok boy, it's very good!!
man your almost too good lol !
sick playing dude keep it up
@ralphgibsong LOL wow you are the most angriest person on the planet. your ignorance and comment amuses me.

hehe nah man.. but alot were used on my solo death metal project called infinite density where i do everything! bass, guitar etc...
i do contribute alot to neo's recent stuff.. i pretty much wrote all of the song xenoflux, except the solos :)
You rip man. Awesome.
reminds me of element! slammy parts are brutal
@madlegit its like a floyd rose without the headstock basically... you fine tune it down the bottom.
yeah its a steinberger guitar man... amazing headless guitars. check them out. carbon graphite neck aswell.. its a stunning creation
pretty awesome
for 2 years playing, you've got mad skill man
@bcsk8ter think of it like a floyd rose guitar without a headstock. you dont need machine heads with a floyd rose and locking nut
There's a reason why Paul Masvidal still plays his Steinberg, I'd like one in black..
@poyoawebo21 in brutal death metal we dont write riffs in key or using scales...only solos
insane...
@varulv234 haha no my thumb on the picking hand! just slide your thumb and pick along the strings at the same time.. takes a lot to get it perfect
that would be the shit but yea i have to check out one of those steinbergers
@niftycakes yeah like i said its just an improv video. no metronome just smashing it out on the fly. i then use these videos for reference of riffs i like then compose them into an actual song for my band :) cheers for the comment man
wtf awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee
i have a feeling no headstock would throw me off
you could and should totally include that in every song.
@noobrigde i play bass in ne obliviscaris, primordial space, aphotic dawn and guitar in my own solo project call infinite density :) they all have myspace's
@23igna haha thanks man i painted it a few years ago. im sellling it ;-)
i like your guitar sound
Dam! Nice improv man :) may I suggest something though, try to get a USB mic and record the audio through a computer instead of the camera for killer quality :) they normally cost anywhere from £30 up
Really nice for 2 years, you must have practiced a lot
@varulv234 haha sorry man im a bass player, i kinda developed my own style of playing derived from a decade of playing bass. i just kinda wing it. i dont know any proper techniques or anything it was just the way i adapted to the guitar, morbid angel do those harmonic slides too especially on the album formulas fatal to the flesh. hes god of non traditional playing.
@cygnusbass
thats the trick man i dont watch tv either and i dont play computer or anything gaming i just play guitar like 2 or 3 hours a day
@ChristianAmparano it was an improv i made it up on the spot, ive been playing for a couple of years, many hours a day. all my playing is improvised on the spot i dont think about it i just let the music flow through me in a stream of thought. if i like certain parts i will watch the video back and turn those parts into a proper song
thanks man!! ive only been playing two years.. i hope to keep getting better haha!!
brutal death metal......
hah its a steinberger. its similar to a floyd rose, you tune it from the bottom. thanks for the kind words
haha i have 4 headless guitars... guitars with headstocks look wierd to me :p thanks for the comment man
I laugh at your guitar, But not in a rude way, (if that makes sense) Pretty sweet session if you ask me, I Subbed,
Respect
Good stufff cygggy

LEFTYS RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
ur good dude, how ol r u
man no headstock makes me feel bad
looks like some ghost-demon guitar to me
i am scared lol
haha i WISH they made 7 string steinbergers..
*drools*
Cygnus with hair = sex God
@ThrashisBack6 i like no head stocks cause you can "fly off the handle" hahahahaha
Nice

Goddamn! Where did you get that steinberger? I've been trying to find that model, Left handed too!
Where can I get that hoodie
indeed.
Good shit man, what tuning do you use?
hair of mustaine
Looks like Paul Masvidals guitar
cool shtuff
all my songs are in standard E..
Dude Kelly from Atheist used to play that guitar and it was left handed too any chance that was the inspiration for getting that guitar?
it must be brutal if your guitar is decapitated
I think your guitar lost its head.
nice playing by the way
haha you can hear my phone go off at the start
cool decapitated guitar
do you prefer guitars with no headstocks? does it feel noticably different? ive never played one but it seems like itd feel strange
haha because i am already in 5 bands and i have absolutely no time up my sleeve :P
must be hard to play without something there to stop your hand from going off the fretboard.
yes its a steinberger :D
@cygnusbass
That explains a lot, i would really be amazed if you started from the zero point, you know ;)
@Demonaz420 snapped her up on ebay bro. rarest gem on earth :p only left handed steiny G4 ive ever seen, i got majorly lucky
@rockerdude29 i dont watch tv hehe
haha nah man its not strange at all... visual looks a little different but i own both headless and headstock guitars theres really no difference just visually the neck looks smaller. its an illusion.
jeff loomis brother?
where you get the time to play that much?
sounds more like technical death
how do you tune that thing?
DO IT WITH DHA BASS !!!
what tuning do you usually play in ?
why aren't you in my band?
Where's your headstock? o.O
what my phone msg??? hahaha
what scale are u using?

You are good as fuck bra
