Okey, I'm a little late to the party, but how do you get that tone? I am aware that a good part of the tone is given by the strings and the bass itself, but how did you set the bass, mids, treble, etc.? I love the tone and I tried to achieve something similar but for some reason whenever I feel I got it right, after a week it seems to me that I actually didn't :D

So many sections of this song are so excellently composed. People have already mentioned several sections that stand out (1:43, 4:40, 5:43, and of course the solo at 7:40) but as a drummer I noticed no one has mentioned the genius thumb slap to match the tom hits at 8:03 & 8:17. Creative!
