    Composers, all of them wrote 'Etudes' or studies for the piano in every key for example, but is it not true that ALL music every composition is an ETUDE which you have to study to play?? So what ever your are working on -- is an ETUDE. So the exercises of Hanon for example - studying it is a waste of time.
