Thank you very much for this video! I've had several of these sitting in my garden for years, and never knew how to manage them, or expand their pink empire. Look out world!

Great video. I just 'discovered' the love of plants and I'm in awe of them the more I learn. Chopping the Cordyline like that and making essentially 4 plants instead of one is mindblowing. I've got a couple of very leggy cordies that I can't wait to try this on

Excellent info! So happy to know there's hope for my Cordyline. I wintered it over in a sunroom that gets no direct sun. The leaves kept dying off and left only a few at the top of the three shoots. Now I'll have six shoots!

Good video on propagation of Cordyline. The taller Cordyline look nice in containers paired with variegated shell ginger and bromeliads. I squeaked with every pretty leaf you took off the plant.

Not gonna lie, I clicked on this video to see how I should go about removing damaged leaves from my new Cordyline and was NOT expecting you to just chop the whole thing up. Guess the plant will probably be fine it I remove the leave close to the trunk.

@@klomax7089 According to pretty much all the plant sites I found, this is genuinely how to cut back and propagate these guys, it's just a bit shocking when the plants you're use to require a bit more of a delicate hand. Lol

@@BexDoesStuff I was in shock for a minute...😆 But like someone else said..I guess she knows what she's doing. My plants went through a freeze and they're all brown but still feel strong other plants inside the pot are coming back so I'm guessing mine will be ok. I've removed the dead leaves already so I'm guessing I'll cut off the weaker feeling parts and hope for the best.

Hi, I found your video on the propagation of cordyline cuttings rather informative. I'm actually trying it out with some cuttings of my own. One thing you didn't mention was whether you water the cuttings and if so how often. Love to hear back from you.
    Thanks

Water a little daily, try to use rain water.

When pruning Cordyline or Dracaenas, I prefer to plant side by side cuttings with different lengths. They all tend to sprout close to the tip. If they all sprout at the same height, they would often shade each other and some would not give enough light. This way I guarantee the sprouts are all getting enough light.
