Turning off the touch screen to wake will save battery too as the screen is always on to anticipate your touch. I just wake it by raising my wrist or by pressing one of the buttons.
Used all these tips and some other tips from other videos from the second I unboxed it and have gotten 2 full days and used 80%. So I'd say 2.5 days max for the Galaxy watch 5 44mm. Not bad, better than I expected since I kept hearing people saying they charge it every night. I work construction for reference so my watch has lots to track through out my days.
I have both (Watch 5 and Huawei GT3) and honestly, I don't know how the GT3 does it but I get 2 weeks with no need to charge and I workout almost everyday. ;-)
I have this watch, and I am on 50% after 4 and a half days. I am in Airplane mode, daily I switch back the BT once and off. Continuues pulse is on and step counter on and sleep tracking only. And thats it. So 8-9 days in a single charge.
I brought my Watch 5 a day and a half ago. 1] Battery life looks to be around one day. I have tweaked so many things... display, notifications, grayscale, turn off lte, sound and vibration, health features, gestures, etc. I've heard of three to five days. Will it get better? 2] Notifications on watch - sound and vibration - are not consistent. Is it normal that it misses some? I'm just learning. Appreciate any help.
I do all the tricks and I still drain pretty fast, I guess it's because I get a lot of emails for work. But that's what I want my phone for, to see work related messages without pulling out my phone (teacher)... Kinda defeats the purpose of a smart watch.
I've followed all these tips and I've still lost 25% of my battery in 9 hours. I don't see how anybody can get this thing to last 4 days. The battery actually seems to be doing worse than my Galaxy 3
I lost 25% overnight last night and that was un bedtime mode! Only got the watch at the weekend so wonder if it's still learning. Have a lot of these features turned off as per your video. Just turned off the Bixby listening just now and one or two other things, so will see.
Shane, what's up brother ? Changed some settings like you said and did a couple on my own which works perfectly for me! Just over 4 full days =97 hours and still have 30% battery life left. That's on my first charge ever out of the box! 😃🙃 Question when is the best time to charge the battery 🔋 percentage at ? I know rule of thumb for cell phones they say between 20 to 30% then charge it up to 80 to 90% to keep the life cycle stronger. But how about a watch ⌚️? No one ever talks about that ? Lol 😆
Hey! That's impressive! Can you please be more detailed regarding which settings you have, for the watch to last long? I don't own a watch 5 rn but if it worths i will get one. I need a watch that will last at least a week for basic features such as calls, texts, notifications, fc for payments, and measure of sp02, heartbeat etc.. On request. I'm not really a sporty person for the workout modes
I assumed the watch uses BLT to sync with my android phone for most apps. However, do the apps need WIFI to up/download data from the internet when they are running? For example, whatsApp syncs with the phone and gets the notifications but doesn't it require WIFI connectivity to send/receive msg? Another energy saving option is whether to use LTE or WIFI since I have a LTE enabled smartwatch.
Got mine yesterday... out of the box after first charge battery went from 100 to 6% in 18h. 7h of which were during sleep. Lets see if your guide helps me. According to the app though my watch shouldve lost around 10% battery only from screentime and app usage For reference my old fitness band (galaxy fit 2) have a battery that lasts 6-7 days
Great tips! Thanks. I also went through and deleted the apps off the watch I'll never use. I hope that helps also. You didn't mention deleting the apps. Do you think that helps save some battery? I just traded my new watch 4 (Christmas gift) for the 5 solely for the bigger battery. I'll get it Thursday and def try out these tips!

@@the_boss_alin Well, 98% of the features of the watch is gimmicks. The health aspect of the watch is a 100% gimmick. 100% of the health information from the watch is useless in the medical field.

After pairing my Samsung ear buds yesterday afternoon, I drained my battery in like 7 hours. I don't know what happened. I realized my watch died in the middle of the night. I charged it to 100%, turned it on and I was losing a % per minute. I did everything you said in your video. It seems to have slowed down, but I am wondering if pairing my earbuds did something. I had hoped to be able to use my earbuds with my watch and not need my phone while walking my dog. But not if its going to drain my battery. Do you think I should unpair my ear buds? BTW, they are not at work with me where my watch battery is draining fast.
