As a Tuscaloosa native who has lived in New Jersey for over 35 years I can only say that these neighborhoods are completely fine. I saw many well kept, comfortable homes with space and yards. If this is supposed to show Tuscaloosa in a bad light then it has failed.

I live in Tuscaloosa also and I appreciate your kind words for our city!! Thankfully there was no injuries or damage to our great city from the storms yesterday!!
No complaints with my T-town. LOTS of friendly people, mostly kept to themselves. Plenty of people raising their kids, spending time with their loved ones, and learning to survive on a daily. You drive through the right places at the right time, you'll catch a smell on meat on the grill. 😉☺😊🤣

Not sure what the point is in just showing the "poorer" neighborhoods. To show that the Mayor/city council only focuses on updating certain parts of the city? Which they do. Lived here all my life. He drove around only a couple neighborhoods on the west and south side of town btw
Why are you videoing the projects/ slums? Tuscaloosa is a beautiful city. Tons of new neighborhoods and shopping and restaurants. Neat and very nice. You make Tuscaloosa look bad!
@@TheKy47 Yes, absolutely I am ashamed that people don’t keep their place and yard cleaned up! However most of Tuscaloosa is new and neat and very nice. That’s my hometown and it’s embarrassing to have people think that this area in the video is Tuscaloosa!
I work in this part of tuscaloosa, it's a pretty good community. Just because it's not gentrified by some rich "liberals," doesn't mean this community has soul.
Houses that be in the hoods in small town be looking like some straight up slave shacks with no type of design. At least the houses in the hoods in big cities can be revamped or remodeled. You would be completely wasting money and time gentrifying these old neighborhoods.
