Krist was the one who bugged Kurt about this Shocking Blue song and here is the result. The Shocking Blue version was more psychedelic. Shocking Blue has had some of their songs covered by every generation.
@@Davesworld7 I thought the crazy effects towards the end were pretty psychedelic. But you're right, an 80s band covered Venus, Nirvana covered Love Buzz but I'm not sure about the 2000s lol. What about the 70s tho?
Great intro! I laughed loud and hard when i realized this original 7' is 3,000 dollars. And of course its a rendition of a 60s classic by Shocking Blue. The original had sitar! But this is still great!
Wow Nirvana covered a Dutch band! Very great cover! The original is more famous ofcourse but Im going to listen to this version a lot too! Well done Nirvana👍
just received this 7" as a gift from a very generous friend, #104. had to listen at least once to make sure no skips or anything. came on here because for some reason i remembered the intro collage being longer than what i heard on the record, so got nervous for a second that it was a fake or something. nope, guess i just remembered wrong. phew!
**There were actually more put out but these were un-numbered, SubPop have suggested about 200 with a red slash instead of a LE number. So about 1200 in total are in existence, not counting the fakes. Nice upload!
I first heard Nirvana at 11 years old when I used to steal my older sisters tapes. I randomly came across the Nirvana Nevermind tape and I played it excessively not even knowing who they were at the time until Kurt died when I was 12 and it was all over the news and was the only thing everyone talked about then I got into Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Tad, etc at 13 and it pretty much changed my life forever.
This sounds great, I can feel the excitement Kurt did hearing themselves on the radio for the first time. Definitely different than the album mix ruclips.net/video/5x4DExYv35c/видео.html 👀
It's been on like 50 of the cheesy bootleg compilations that started spewing out after Jurt died. You know... the ones where half the songs were just some garbage noises recorded onto a tape player, and the other half were all the B-sides and demos and stuff
It’s like this is the free trial with the weird add thing in the intro, and then the album version has no ads
Gotta Love Love Buzz!

1988, the year the 90's began...
Makes sense. It seems like the 80's began with Heart Of Glass by Blondie in 1978.

Love this Shocking Blue cover. Nice and heavy with an amazing bass line.
The bass line gets you into this. It is only two chords with a lot of lead for the guitar. Terrific.
The intro is truly masterpiece!
Yes that bass. Two chords on guitar but the bass is great.
This is so rad dirty raw grungy rock, love you guys can't get enough Nirvana never be the same

@EndofMusic nirvana did it their way but the older version is nice too.
The original used Sitar. I did not discover other shocking blue songs outside of Venus until much h later.

Cool
The original mix!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a cd titled Grunge is dead Cd0001 that had this I found "used"
Can’t believe this was the original single version from the single with the woman doing a talking intro. Good job.
Very proud that a dutch band was the origin of this.
In 2012 I would play this song on repeat for several weeks. time to do it again.
