I like to believe the only reason the rebels won is NOT because of Luke, Han, or any of the over used, over milked characters, but rather that they won because Palpatine made a huge error in judgement and should have ordered the Relentless battlegroup to the major battles that took place instead of squander what appears to be one of the empire's most elite forces on patrol duty :/
