I jumped ship (no pun intended) a couple months after the Puerto Rico thing and couldn't be happier. This game used to be good when it wasn't popular. Back then they focused more on content and they listened to the player base. Once the game became profitable, they focused on gimmicks and trash ships to get players to spend more. Same thing they did with Tanks. After five years playing WG games, I had enough.
Over the years i have spent several tousand of euros for this game. I stop spending anything till WG changes FUNDAMENTALLY and listens to the players again...

Most of the players that matter to WG don't know or care who he is, as long as people keep throwing money at them for rubbish like Arp/Warhammer ships then they don't care what Flamu's fanbase thinks. well, WG has a trackrecord of ignoring feedback, especially public feedback given from content creators and Community Contributors program. Just look at Circon and SirFoch some years ago. They (at least SirFoch did iirc) made some justified comments about how the content that Wargaming is pushing on World of Tanks is bad, and then removed them from the CC program because of some other reason; such as bad language/tweets/videos.
and yet NoZoup claims the player base is expanding. We know who uses knee pads now. I've seen the opposite with bots creeping in at lower tiers and more often. The player base is actually drying up, that much is obvious.

For those 50 battles expect max que times and in EVERY battle it will be you with 11 bots on your team against one live player and 11 bots. Claiming that WG will introduce CV to KotS or will change skill that people will have to retrain commanders is not criticism, it is speculation. Notjing that anyone from WG said will happen and it did not happen. As long it didn't happen or some reliable soiurce that that WG will do this, it can't be criticism. Of course this can be a pleaded reason WG used because they don't like criticism but it is a valid one and we will never find out.

Really, what bothers me nowadays is that higher tier battles are filled with more and more potatoes. I'm playing this shit since 2017, but the last 2 years were simply a disaster, that everyone saw coming besides wargaming...: -CV rework was a complete butcher of the game -They added the magical soviet bbs -Then they added the worst cruiser in the game, Smolensk (seriously who tought that it is a good idea to make a cruiser that can broadside to everything and get away with oly overpens??? Not to mention those radiculous guns) -Then we got the Paytorico disaster -They added Thunderer which is the best ship to kill any kind of gameplay -They added more backline camping passive dds that won't cap or play objective ever as "pan european" line -They couldn't add Pobeda to the game because everyone knew that it is broken, so they renamed it to Slava and added to the game -They removed Moskva because it was balanced, then replaced it with the "mini Stalingrad" Petro, which is op af -They added the noone asked for german cv line -They added Roosevelt which is basically a t12 cv with planes that can fly across an entire team, and still manage to drop at least twice, and deal more dmg with a drop than 2 "normal" cv combined -They added the noone ased for alternaive US bb line for more passive gameplay -Last years Santa gift containers were a complete lie -They reworked the captain skills, which is another butcher of the gameplay So in the last 2 yeasr they slowly started to butcher this game for the braindead payers and noobs, skill doesn't matter anymore, everyone just sit back and farm for themselves... And i bet i missed some bad "event" from this list... And congrats Flamu! :-)
I miss the original CVs. You were either a god or worst than a new player. I loved the RTS view of the map... Never got used to CVs after the rework. Also being able to queue up with other CVs in the beta was a blast. You had one guy passive scout in a DD and the other 2 were CVs and just sunk anyone that showed up.

When flolo is holding back with the stuff WG messed up, lied about or just broke their promises. First broken promises that come to mind: There wont be any premium T10, there wont be any bigger guns then Yamatos, there wont be any Submarines, you will allways get stuff out the containers that is worth the money. Lies: Carries are balanced, soviet ships are balanced, we recreate ships as close to reality as possible, you can grind P. Rico for free, we listen to our playerbase, the numbers of radars per team have no influence on the outcome of a match, AA is usefull, we want to make vids of the most well known naval legends, we test ships before bringing them out Stuff they messed up: Every excuse they gave us for all their mistakes that were made public, graf zeppelin, the prices of all new premium ships, lazy copy paste premium ships (most wellknown Littorio), didnt listen to CCs when Belfast, Smolensk, Cpt rework, CV rework, Slava and Graf Zeppelin came out, bringing out OP premium ships 1 week before competetive at the same tier as the ships ended, more and more obvious milking of the playerbase with stuff like bundles, containers and anime I know there is more but this allready triggered me enough.

The "reasons" they used is manager tactics 101. When supervisors/managers WANT to get rid of an employee who either is popular with everyone or does a pretty good job, they'll sit back and wait and wait. Like a detective trying to take down a crime boss, they want to gather more evidence or in this case more reasons to get rid of you. Otherwise WG would have smacked Flamu's wrists for the "stat shaming" he's been doing this entire time already. Once they have enough evidence/reasons to do so, they will then dump it all out at once to make the situation more serious then it is. It won't make sense to you at first because some of the allegations they used were for things you did weeks or even months ago that they kept silent about. I had a manager do this same exact tactic WG pulled on Flamu. He watched and jotted down all the things one of our cooks, who did a good job and was popular with us, did and when he had enough....he dropped the hammer on him.
WG developers and managers live in a dictatorship. They apply the same standards to CC as their leaders apply to them. They don't know better and never expirienced anything different. We all kind of should not play games from WG or Tencent(=Riot Games) . I know EA, Bethesda and Activsion are bad...but there are still independant studios! The thing with Valve is weirdly ambivalent. I wished they would do even more of the good workd and would stop these blunders....like catering to the CCP. I mean even Google didn't do it.

Here are a few thoughts: 1. You are saying, you watched your tone for the last 4 years?!? Oh boy, I see fun times up ahead. 2. I think, we need to differenciate between WG and Lesta studios. I said it before, the lead game designer is a number-fixated twat, obly interested in his paycheck and boni. THAT is exactly, who you want to envision the future of your product. 3. I said, they were ruining the game and dumbing it down with 8.0 They changed things for the worst before, but from that point on, it was just tragic. I stopped playing 10 battles a day and over the years have dropped to 4 battles in 4 months, to just uninstalled. 4. The CV rework has MORE people complaining about CVs NOW, than before, when they were RTS. And they are more OP NOW, as back then. Then, one had to be really good, to have a big impact in the battle. I'm curious about their current game designer, how long has he been there? I don't know anything about the studios, but I remember noticing some time ago that they were making terrible game design choices that they didn't used to make and it was noticeable enough that I started wondering if the old designer left and was replaced with a new one that doesn't know what he's doing. Or if they switched teams or something. Is any of that the case?
I used to support WG, but for a while now they've been hard driving a wedge between me and this game I USED to really enjoy. I haven't played in months and that's not about to change after being with this game since 2015. WG is done with the existing, dedicated player base so I'm done too. Toxic shit.

Same, I am someone who spent thousands of dollars on the game, bought premium time, bought all the premium ships, endured the cv rework, grinded the puerto. I loved the game! Then they dump the capt skill rework with no testing. I am done. When they admited they would throw it out live with no testing I knew that it was no longer worth my time, money, patience or respect for the devs. They feel like they can change the game with no respect to the players by not properly developing the game with proper testing apparently.

The game drifted away from WW2 ships a long time ago. Nowadays is about an armada of imaginary ships where if you want to be successful you must play a Russian ship with stalinium armour and rail guns.

I've not played WoWs in half a year, which isn't unusual but I usually go back after a while for half a year but this time I don't think I will, but I still enjoy your vids. I hope eventually you can transition into playing something else that you enjoy because really, fuck WG. Their art team is great but that's not enough.

Most of the players that matter to WG don't know or care who he is, as long as people keep throwing money at them for rubbish like Arp/Warhammer ships then they don't care what Flamu's fanbase thinks. Couple of weeks it will be some new controversy and this will be a tiny foot note in a niche game that most people don't know about.
well, WG has a trackrecord of ignoring feedback, especially public feedback given from content creators and Community Contributors program. Just look at Circon and SirFoch some years ago. They (at least SirFoch did iirc) made some justified comments about how the content that Wargaming is pushing on World of Tanks is bad, and then removed them from the CC program because of some other reason; such as bad language/tweets/videos.
It's literally painful to watch a game you used to play all day turn into something where it's a chore to log in once a month.
and yet NoZoup claims the player base is expanding. We know who uses knee pads now. I've seen the opposite with bots creeping in at lower tiers and more often. The player base is actually drying up, that much is obvious.
Funny how that also covers World of Tanks.

Really, what bothers me nowadays is that higher tier battles are filled with more and more potatoes. Yes the stat shaming is wrong, but to an extent you agree to him to "why the hell this massive potato plays in the higher tier??? If you're still learning about the game at least play lower tiers!!"

I'm playing this shit since 2017, but the last 2 years were simply a disaster, that everyone saw coming besides wargaming...:
-CV rework was a complete butcher of the game
-They added the magical soviet bbs
-Then they added the worst cruiser in the game, Smolensk (seriously who tought that it is a good idea to make a cruiser that can broadside to everything and get away with oly overpens??? Not to mention those radiculous guns)
-Then we got the Paytorico disaster
-They added Thunderer which is the best ship to kill any kind of gameplay
-They added more backline camping passive dds that won't cap or play objective ever as "pan european" line
-They couldn't add Pobeda to the game because everyone knew that it is broken, so they renamed it to Slava and added to the game
-They removed Moskva because it was balanced, then replaced it with the "mini Stalingrad" Petro, which is op af
-They added the noone asked for german cv line
-They added Roosevelt which is basically a t12 cv with planes that can fly across an entire team, and still manage to drop at least twice, and deal more dmg with a drop than 2 "normal" cv combined
-They added the noone ased for alternaive US bb line for more passive gameplay
-Last years Santa gift containers were a complete lie
-They reworked the captain skills, which is another butcher of the gameplay
So in the last 2 yeasr they slowly started to butcher this game for the braindead payers and noobs, skill doesn't matter anymore, everyone just sit back and farm for themselves...
And i bet i missed some bad "event" from this list...

They did use Petro to balance out the Smolensk, since that's the only one CA which can dev strike that dumb thing without overpen.
I miss the original CVs. You were either a god or worst than a new player. I loved the RTS view of the map... Never got used to CVs after the rework. Also being able to queue up with other CVs in the beta was a blast. You had one guy passive scout in a DD and the other 2 were CVs and just sunk anyone that showed up.

First broken promises that come to mind: There wont be any premium T10, there wont be any bigger guns then Yamatos, there wont be any Submarines, you will allways get stuff out the containers that is worth the money.
Lies: Carries are balanced, soviet ships are balanced, we recreate ships as close to reality as possible, you can grind P. Rico for free, we listen to our playerbase, the numbers of radars per team have no influence on the outcome of a match, AA is usefull, we want to make vids of the most well known naval legends, we test ships before bringing them out
Stuff they messed up: Every excuse they gave us for all their mistakes that were made public, graf zeppelin, the prices of all new premium ships, lazy copy paste premium ships (most wellknown Littorio), didnt listen to CCs when Belfast, Smolensk, Cpt rework, CV rework, Slava and Graf Zeppelin came out, bringing out OP premium ships 1 week before competetive at the same tier as the ships ended, more and more obvious milking of the playerbase with stuff like bundles, containers and anime

The "reasons" they used is manager tactics 101. When supervisors/managers WANT to get rid of an employee who either is popular with everyone or does a pretty good job, they'll sit back and wait and wait. Like a detective trying to take down a crime boss, they want to gather more evidence or in this case more reasons to get rid of you. Otherwise WG would have smacked Flamu's wrists for the "stat shaming" he's been doing this entire time already. Once they have enough evidence/reasons to do so, they will then dump it all out at once to make the situation more serious then it is. It won't make sense to you at first because some of the allegations they used were for things you did weeks or even months ago that they kept silent about. I had a manager do this same exact tactic WG pulled on Flamu. He watched and jotted down all the things one of our cooks, who did a good job and was popular with us, did and when he had enough....he dropped the hammer on him.

Here are a few thoughts:
1. You are saying, you watched your tone for the last 4 years?!? Oh boy, I see fun times up ahead.
2. I think, we need to differenciate between WG and Lesta studios. I said it before, the lead game designer is a number-fixated twat, obly interested in his paycheck and boni. THAT is exactly, who you want to envision the future of your product.
3. I said, they were ruining the game and dumbing it down with 8.0
They changed things for the worst before, but from that point on, it was just tragic. I stopped playing 10 battles a day and over the years have dropped to 4 battles in 4 months, to just uninstalled.
4. The CV rework has MORE people complaining about CVs NOW, than before, when they were RTS. And they are more OP NOW, as back then. Then, one had to be really good, to have a big impact in the battle. NOW, just every moron and their dog will do great, no matter skill or anything...
5. Congrats @Flamu, freedom of speech has returned to the raging, flaming potatoe. Good times, fun times lay ahead.
I'm curious about their current game designer, how long has he been there? I don't know anything about the studios, but I remember noticing some time ago that they were making terrible game design choices that they didn't used to make and it was noticeable enough that I started wondering if the old designer left and was replaced with a new one that doesn't know what he's doing. Or if they switched teams or something. Is any of that the case?
I used to support WG, but for a while now they've been hard driving a wedge between me and this game I USED to really enjoy. I haven't played in months and that's not about to change after being with this game since 2015. WG is done with the existing, dedicated player base so I'm done too. Toxic shit.

Same, I am someone who spent thousands of dollars on the game, bought premium time, bought all the premium ships, endured the cv rework, grinded the puerto. I loved the game! Then they dump the capt skill rework with no testing. I am done. When they admited they would throw it out live with no testing I knew that it was no longer worth my time, money, patience or respect for the devs. They feel like they can change the game with no respect to the players by not properly developing the game with proper testing apparently.

The game drifted away from WW2 ships a long time ago. Nowadays is about an armada of imaginary ships where if you want to be successful you must play a Russian ship with stalinium armour and rail guns.

I quit this year after 5 years of playing. Installed in 2016 Uninstalled in 2021. Because of the same reasons you just mentioned.
So they were basically like, "Get rid of him. He knows too much." 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ Sucks to been them because now you can DOUBLE DOWN on not giving a shit XD

I've not played WoWs in half a year, which isn't unusual but I usually go back after a while for half a year but this time I don't think I will, but I still enjoy your vids. I hope eventually you can transition into playing something else that you enjoy because really, fuck WG. Their art team is great but that's not enough.
Same, usually taking a break and coming back after a few months, but this commander rework gave me a mental barricade, didnt want to relearn so many skills again after 5 years...now this happens and I just dont know if I will ever return...
Left this game half a year ago for good. Just recently heard about wg's Satan's Crate disaster. Safe to say I am more than confirmed to never come back, as sad as it is. But wg is trying so hard to destroy the game...
