So I grabbed a sealed display box at Academy yesterday...took it to the register, and it rang up as $4.75...TOTAL. I told the cashier that couldn't be right, and the cashier said "I guess it's on sale" and shrugged her shoulders, took my money, and told me to have a great day lol. No numbered cards, but I did get 2 rainbow foils, 2 blue parallels, 1 Bryce Harper jersey relic, 2 Chromes, a ton of base rookies, and my box hit was a Daulton Varsho team border card. Nothing outrageous...but absolutely brilliant for less than five bucks. 😂

I never do comment but was blown away today I grabbed 5 blasters yesterday after being done with blasters because I don’t get many hits and pulled 2 relics, 3 numberd cards a gold Elly and 3 holiday parallel in the first 3 boxes and had to stand up and take a break lol
It is tough to choose between the mega boxes and fanatics box. I really like the icy parallels but the aquas look awesome also.
Forgot to add, I'm right there with you on the holiday cards. They just don't do it for me. Best I got were Bunny Rabbits Shohei & Mookie card & Bunny Rabbits Ronny Mauricio and that's out of around 150 of them.

thanks so much for your content. got 6 monsters the day they came out and got burnt bad, but i mean what is 300 bucks in this hobby. my jumbos ive ripped have been juiced. well saw your video today and went to the store and grabbed the last 2 monsters. a lot better results for sure. no big hits but like you always say, the dart throws. i got 3 golds /2024, i got a true photo (but it was benintendi), green foil /499 benintendi haha, and the 2 decent foilboard cards were rooks sal frelick and encanarcion strand. honestly doesnt get better than that for 100 bucks. all you can ask for. fun rip
Based on your videos and the fact I have yet to find any in the wild I scooped two monster boxes up for $49.99 a piece. I don't think they'll stay at that price on the secondary market much longer, might buy a couple more. Lol
I can't wait for series 2. Hopefully, Yoan Moncada will have a 89 design insert, silver pack or autograph. 🙏

I just went to Target and picked up a Monster box because of this video and got a redemption of a Bobby Witt Jr. Greatest Hits #/25 or less, an orange to 25 Zack Gelof, a purple Othani and a gold. Thank You Stryker!!

Are the home field advantage cards pretty rare? We pulled 1 out of two hangers of trout.

Just got a monster box for my birthday today. It was the weirdest box I’ve ever opened. First off it was good with 3 numbered parallels, Elly chrome stars of mlb and an Elly 1989 foil board. The weird part about it though is that in one pack there was a few cards then a normal insert but then a few cards later there was another insert found that weird but that’s not the weirdest thing because there was one pack that had one card yes one singular Dansby Swanson in it and another pack that had like 25 cards in it. I found it cool so yea.
Nice boxes, I hope Lawler makes it big because I was lucky enough to see him debut and have a few balls from the game.

I also pulled a Black Nolan Ryan 1989 from the same box but the centering was a little heavy on the left side...
So that was a bummer. Lol
My first Monster Box had a Mega Stars Gold Foil Acuna, so I just ordered a few more. That's the best pull I've had so far in 4 hangers and 2 hobbys. Wish the Walmart up the road would get some in.
Excellent rip was fun to watch. I found 3 hangers out in the wild and got 3 numbered cards but only got 2nd tier RC's and no ELi's. I also found myself 7 fat packs or blister packs not sure what they're called today LOL. But I did get 4 numbered cards and only got 2nd tier RC's and no Eli's. Eli's in my neck of the woods are very hard to come by I guess, for me to open 10 and get none should tell you something yes, no, maybe, sometimes, always, never? My sample size is small I know but it seems to me if you're hunting for number cards hangers maybe the way to go, if you're on a tight budget those fat/blister packs aren't bad either, heck blasters aren't that expensive yet. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work/videos and you and your family have a good, safe and blessed rest of yer day and week.

Thanks for the info on the formats. I took your advice and bought a monster. Hit a blue foil Cowser /999, 89 foil Cowser, 89 foil Corbin Carroll. Along with a blue and team gold card.

Pay close attention to those 35th anniversaries. I pulled a Curtis Mead numbered to /89. At first thought it was a vintage, nope. Same Cardstock as every other. Just numbered 🤔

I feel like relics should be one per monster box and autographs one per hobby and jumbos have 2 autos.

Earlier this year I bought two hobby boxes and was a bit disappointed. I think the next time I have 100 to spend on series 1 at Walmart, 2 monsters would be the way to go based on this video. Thanks.
I like the cliffhanger beginnings... It does seem to be a bit better of a format, but the one thing I have noticed across all formats that have exclusives is that those exclusives are duplicated big time! Everything I've opened and watched that seems to be a theme
For sure, give it a few months, least until series 2 comes out, then the market will be flooded with tons of these parallels and any perceived “value” will be minimal.
two monsters purchased so far at seperate times, the 2nd box was loaded! got a Curtis Mead auto and a few other inserts! going back to get more soon. blaster was cool but not near the value of return from the monster.
I love ripping packs but hangers have been the best for me personally
2 of 5 boxes with a card numbered to 25! I have 3 coming tomorrow, ordered because of your analysis, I just got even more pumped. These look so much better than the jumbo I opened, very little value unless you get really lucky, can’t nickel and dime a jumbo.
I picked up 3 of these today at Barnes and noble because of this video. Got the ohtani red foil board (not the 1989) and a Luis Robert gold mirror. I’d say it was a successful 3 box rip.

I pulled a 1989 Luis Robert Jr. Black Auto /199 out of a monster box yesterday morning.
All of my Walmarts sell out of those super quick, because allegedly there is an LCS in my area that purchases them and buys them from other people and jacks the price up

The Aqua Julio looks sweet, I couldn't pull one out of the 2 Fanatics Blasters I had, but these '89 foilboards are nice.

Oh and talking with Fanatics for software purposes… it turns out they didn’t print as much as you think.
Based on sheer luck, they printed what they believe is a perfect number of series 1’s 1st release.
They are sending out series 1 printing 2 in like 4-5 days and will be raising the price mildly.
And yes, expect a lot of duplicates in terms of Signatures especially. They said it was how it was loaded. (Which is Spanish for a lack of quality control).
Pretty sure they messed up and forgot to to put “first card” on the first ones off the press. Have to check the backs for 1/1 stamp

At $50/box the value is so tough on these. Even the box that crushed you might barely get back cost plus 10%? With the other nine taking a pretty tough L. The collation is so bad this year working your way back with sets, etc. is even harder.
Fanatics blasters keep going in and out of stock. right now they are up (Wednesday) but the limit is 3.
You definitely had to much caffeine at times you were going through the cards at 100mph and talking like the micro machine guy 😂. Great hits and love watching your videos
I've opened 10 hanger boxes and in 1 box I got a Elly numbered 1989 and a black boardered 1989 Aaron Judge numbered relic

So I'm thinking fanatics is hooking us up after this takeover.. and if there's one of those crazier pulls due...they are just dropping them on top of whatever main parallels are already dropped in packs.
I've seen it in chrome last year and flagship.

I had one mega the other day with 4 autos, one was an Elly gold /50 and the same jordan lawler auto, plus gold encarnacion strand, best box I've had in years
So I opened a card, I asked Topps what it is… Topps doesn’t know what my Gunnar Henderson ROY card is.
I even scanned it and sent it to them. They have no idea what it is, and told me “we have no idea what this is, we are just going to list it a 1/1”….. idk how I feel about that.
Also Series 1 has been BANANAS.
2 Cowser Autos in my 1st 3 boxes, a National Anthem card, and I can make a bed out of all my Elly’s and Dominguez’s. I have about 50 of each it’s getting out of hand. (But Mauricio is my “non-Yamamoto ROY”)…
Also got a stadium relic card, it’s almost the size of the pack.
Seems unlikely a company doesn't know what they made.

My mom worked as a cutter for federal paper BI (Before Internet) and she said Topps has very little quality control.
Topps also said that they had no idea there were those Rafael Devers Mega Box cards that had the Panini Mosaic cards on the back.
