I would recommend giving a Soprano a go. For a long time, I was unsure if I preferred concerts or tenors, I had just discounted the soprano completely for no good reason. Then one day I picked up a soprano on a whim and now I find that it’s my go to favorite size ukulele.
I like sopranos because they are about the same size as a violin which was my first instrument. I intend to put GDAE strings on mine too. Nobody ever complains that their hands are too big to fit on a violin.
As someone who naturally migrates to low G tenors there’s something refreshing and peppy about the soprano. Those ukes sound really good for the price, especially the top three!
Yay! Woohoo! Winner, winner! I have that one. It's been with me river rafting, out by the pool, and I just played it at my son's 18th birthday celebration yesterday 🎂🥳. It still plays beautifully. I've had mine a couple of years now. Nice to see it here. Great video as usual. 😊 🎶
Sadly the plastic Flights are not available in NA, only the older TUS series with the laminate wood soundboard. But they are fun and very playable too. No word that the newer version will ever come to NA. The Enya on the other hand is readily available. While you have demoed some truly great higher end ukukeles, showing value models like this and giving your honest opinion of them is much appreciated. Like any hobby you have to start somewhere. 😊
3:33 Technically, I'm left handed too but play it right handed because the uke (and other musical instruments) is set up that way. You can reverse the strings, but it seemed more convenient for me to just learn the right handed way. Anyway, I like your videos.

Thanks for the comparison. I'll show this to friends and relatives interested in starting with a soprano. I own the Enya, yay!

I agree with you on the Enya, I thought it had the best sound and I like the looks. Great info for beginners!
Hate the plastic
