Never heard of him before. Thank you for doing his story. He was a gentle giant. RIP
I remember doing a documentary on him, when I was a school, my grandfather gave me some video tapes on happy, I was amazed. RIP Happy.
You used to be a school?
@@ozzy2476 oops bro
That sounds fantastic 😀!
It would be amazing to see those old tapes. They’re probably very rare!
I wonder if you still have those tapes of him🤔
My Uncle Sonny knew him. I got to meet him once when I was very little and to be honest I was scared of him at first, he was like a giant! He quickly offered me some soda in a cup and won me over.
Awesome story
Lol that's awesome
RIP William Joseph Cobb (July 16, 1926 - March 14, 1989)(aged 62) you will truly be missed and my prayers go out to you and your family.
I had seen the match with Happy and Haystack at Madison Square Garden, NYC. My grandfather had taken me, you brought back memories.
There was a store on Delancey Street, NY. that would make there wrestling shorts it was hung on the glass window of the shop. Thanks Lamont
When people make fun of others they need to look at themselves it's a shame people are so mean everyone has feelings
My father in law was 6ft 5in and 740lbs. He was the reason Red Lobster took the all you can eat king crab legs off the menu. 😁
No way really
Really???
@@dfilipino4443 yep. It was something he was quite proud of. Lol
Gosh!
He would of lost weight eating crab legs unless they were king crab, time and effort to get a pound of meat outta them, not worth it
King Haku is regarded by other wrestlers as the toughest in the business. Great video Lamont, RIP Happy Humphrey!
If the stories are true..Haku was the man
Yea I heard King Haku was one tuff SOB
@@NashvilleSaint Even Andre the Giant was afraid to wrestle Haku.
I love wrestling. I respect them so much because of what they put their body's through for our entertainment. Great video. Rip Happy
I haven't heard of him before. Thank you for bringing him to our attention. He sounds like a lovely man but it doesn't sound like his life was very easy.
Thanks for such an interesting story, Lamont. May this gentleman rest in peace, it seems he did his best with what life had given him. Everyday life itself had to be a struggle for him at that weight.
I lived in Aiken as a child. Never heard of him. Thank you for another great video Lamont. Safe travels ❤️🙏🏼
Hey Lamont great video and story as always 💚💚 thanks for the story
Very good story Lamont, we learn something new everyday, keep up the great job my friend and be safe in your travels!🙏🤘
Loved this story its great to learn about people. Love this channel I watch it every night .fantastic story teller thanks for your hard work Lamont. Love and respect from Ireland
Keep up the good work, mate! Love your videos!
Oh my God! So he use to wrestle in Waterloo,Iowa. So between 1958 and on he would eat at my dad's pizza house in downtown Waterloo. He sat on two of our chairs and have two large Tony specials( homemade sausage, green peppers,Wisconsin whole milk organic cheese). We had pictures and autographs of him. My dad just loved him.
Yes. He was so nice to kids.
I love all of these stories that you post I’ve never heard of this one before thanks for posting it by the way if you ever had to Maryland you should really check out France Scott Keys grave that’s located in Frederick, Maryland
Hi Melanie, you're beautiful
From Liverpool UK 🤗💜
I'm from Frederick originally and have a few friends buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery where Francis Scott Key is buried.
Very good story. I've seen his entry in the Guinness book but you gave details I never heard before...thank you!
Lamont: if you're still in Florida, you might want to do a story on Marc David Wasson- age 6 at death in 1977. He and his family went to the Miami Serpentarium for the day. His father sat him on the wall of the enclosure and the boy fell in. Crocodile immediately snagged him and carried him into the moat. Marc is buried in Lake Worth, Florida.
Omg that's so tragic and sad
Wish it was on video, I'd pay for that, vs, will Smith slapping another homie
Never heard of this wrestler. Aiken is such an interesting town. Thanks for sharing this fascinating story.
Fly high Mr Cobb 💙🇦🇺
Very special name my late father was also a William Cobb he was also gentle kind and loving must be the name
I remember him being mentioned in WWE magazine when they were doing an article on big wrestlers. I remember them mentioning him getting stuck in a theater chair and they needed to call welders to get him out.
I got to be around Happy Humphrey as a child. My dad was good friends with wrestling promotors in the central states and he also helped train other famous pro wrestler's. So,our family got to see everyone.
Its me bro!!stay safe, you the man!!!
Damn Uncle great week … was a wrestling fan 40 years and was not familiar with him. RIP Sir 🙏🏿
Haku is the guy who pretty much everyone says is the "toughest" in real life.
For what it's worth, the saying is "So on and so forth". At least that's the way I've always heard it being said.
I love your channels and look forward to them everyday, they are the first thing I look for on RUclips. That was an interesting story on someone I never heard of. He had an interesting but short life. R.I.P Mr Cobb and thank you as always Lamont, catch you on the next Vlog.
Am old enough to remember him. Didn't have much mobility or wrestling skill but he sure was strong and hard to move. Such a humble grave for someone as well known as he was.
Damn. 700 pounds. Wow. I'm 5'11 and 376 pounds. I thought I was a big fat ass but damn. This guy was a huge man.
Timothy! Don’t talk about yourself like that. There’s just more of you to love ❤️
@@stephanieann8115 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thank you. I was joking around about myself. I really don't want this weight. A lot of it has been brought on by depression.
@@stephanieann8115 I just remembered one of my favorite comedians Rodney Dangerfield use to make fun of himself. Remember his line he always use to say? I can't get no respect. Rodney Dangerfield once said on the Johnny Carson show. My wife signed me up to a bridge jumping club. I jump off next Tuesday 🤣. Sometimes it's good to lighten up and laugh at yourself
@@thoughtfinder ok ok I have to agree with you. As long as you are laughing, then it’s fine🤣. I just don’t want you being hard on yourself for being who you are 💙
@@thoughtfinder I completely understand the depression thing. Been there for a LONG time. It sucks the life right out of you doesn’t it?! I’m the exact opposite. I starve myself because I have no control in my life anywhere else. I’m disgustingly thin with no fat reserves or energy. It’s weird how different people go to different extremes over the same thing. Take care of yourself sweetheart.
Thank you!
Thanks for the “unknowns”. Enjoyed but ashame he was laughed at but not surprised
Hi 👋 Linda, how are you doing?

My sister got married in Aiken, don’t ask me why because that is not where she was living at the time… and my ex-husband and I divorced when he was living in Macon Georgia, while I lived in Augusta Georgia! I was never a wrestling fan. However I heard some stories about happy Humphrey. It is amazing that the man could even walk because he was so huge and obese! The only reason he had that job of wrestling was because of the time he lived in in the mindset of the men back then. Bless him end it is amazing he lived to be 62 years old.
I live in Perry, GA near Macon and I’ve never heard of him
You find some amazing stories to share with us. Thank you.
Heyyyy Lamont I thought that was you, love the way you pay respect to the passed on , everything is on point. Thank you 🙏

Fat people are strong. Takes a lot of muscle to move around that kind of weight. I know. I was once 620 lbs. I am now 415 lbs. I could not imagine being 900 lbs. I'm 54 and 5'9". Ketovore has worked well for me.
What is Ketovore? I’m in the U.K. 🤗🌹
I’m not a wresting fan, but a very interesting story. Thanks for sharing this story 💜
