1991 to 1995, the UAE government took many animals from Somalia and East Africa. The UAE is a desert country and they have no animals. Thieves companies took from Somalia the animals of many types.
I never thought that a national symbol can be shared by different countries. It is really interesting how the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain share the same national animal.
It is not rare. Both Vietnam and India adopted the lotus as the National flower. Singapore and Thailand also have the orchid as the national symbol. Just to name a few.
@@DWDocumentary I was mesmerized by your documentary. It’s a world I have a lot of questions about and know nothing about with the exception of what I see in the news. It made me want to visit.

The UAE is a beautiful and lovely nation and what the government did transforming a desert into a rapidly growing and evolving country is astonishing, and this inactive of developing a safe and protected sanctuary of endangered animals that could otherwise been porched and killed for profit making by hunters is a notable deed.
@Ghost Ghost why is it a dictatorship? It prioritizes its ethnic nationals over everyone else. Sounds to me like they're looking out for their own survival
Really enjoy how the creators of this documentary did not "get in the way" of the content, this was such an enjoyable watch, the people of the UAE are blessed with some incredibly selfless leaders who really care about their country and the blessings being passed onto the next generation
Wow, that falcon doctor is getting more experience than a hundred exotic animal veterinarians. I think they said that there were 11,000 falconers in the area? I tell you what, if you got a sick or injured falcon, and you want the best, you need this lady!
Very disappointed in the comments here. Why such hatred against the UAE? It has done amazingly well for somewhere that was just a desert. They have the right to dictate how they live and they honestly provide a great quality of life for a place that doesn't have income tax. If you want to be mad about how Indians and Philippinos get less salaries here, then maybe be mad about why rich rulers of India and Philippines don't take care of their own citizens. That being said, it's constantly improving Many expats want to build this country more. I hope they give citizenship to who deserves it
People are mostly very negative. They do not realize or not accepting that UAE helped millions of people worldwide by giving employment to them so they can take good care of their families. I'm sure some employer are mean to their workers but they should not blame ALL UAE citizens are mean to their employees.
@@nepal-everyday slavw should nor come betyer ask their regime to provide food for them instead roaming here and hijda modi can't feed its people despite claiming somekind of vigg economy?
@@nepal-everyday Not sure why you point fingers at a supply-demand market for expatriates when superpowers like America refuse to raise the minimum wage for their own naturalized citizens. I do agree that they sometimes receive a salary that is very hard to live with. But this applies to all other nations, especially the nations where the workers come from that should not force its own citizens to go abroad and work for a measly salary so their family at home doesn't starve. The source of the problem is the home country in my opinion However, yes, it has a lot of progress it still needs to make. But for a 49 year old country? Amazing. Absolutely amazing
What a great documentary! Despite being about Sir Bani Yas it brought back so many memories of Abu Dhabi for me. I spent nearly twenty years of my life there and would go back tomorrow if I could. It's the one place in my life that I miss above all others. Thanks DW!

Great UAE 🇦🇪 to protect & conserve the "world of animals " in a natural way. This island looks a mini Africa.

Abu Dhabi, good job protecting animals. More countries need to do these kinds of things. God will smile on you for protecting what he created.
