16 years old and playing this on the jukebox when I got to work at Pizza Inn.
LRB had some of the tightest harmonies. This is a great example of easy listening/yacht rock/contemporary music of a great decade for music. Their "Lady" is the best of all the songs titled "Lady", which I highly recommend.
One of the few thats always cool af. A gentle rain in my brain. Cooling rain.
I went into a little night club in south Louisiana one night when I was in my 20's. Low and behold this band was playing there and I was blown away by their sound and talent. These guys are too much. Love their sound. Very talented bunch.

Smooth and jazzy
This song has a double meaning for me. Not only did it come out during one of the most memorable years if my life, the story and the music they mention are those from my parents' era. I could easily see my dad singing this to my mom--if he could carry a tune in his back pocket, anyway. 😅 I love you, Daddy.

Happy Anniversary Baby is a cool Little River Band song. The bass is killer.
I'm one lucky gal, I saw these guys in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1978. They played 1st as the back up band for Boz Scaggs and he was great but LRB stole the show in my opinion. Treat yourselves and listen to more of them. Great reaction !

I do remember the song from the radio, but only remembered the "we'll go walking in the park" section. Hearing it now, I better understand the intent and context, as well as the "Night and Day" reference.

When I was a senior in high school, I took Radio and TV class. One of our group assignments was to make a commercial. We used this music to do an ad for a car.
Please do their song “Take it Easy On Me”… the video where you see the band singing. In that video the harmonies are so crazy and you can see each one sing his part. Each one could be a lead singer. 🔥

LRB had a lot of hit songs and good songs that were never played on the radio. Night Owls is one of my favorite songs that never got the attention it deserved. Cool Change is an epic song, Lonesome Looser, Lady, The Other Guy. It’s a Long Way There has some of the best guitar solos in my opinion.

The perfect song… One of John Lennon’s favorites.
Sadly the original band lost rights to their own name, crazy as that sounds. The band that tours as LRB is not the original band, is basically a cover band, using original LRB materials in their promotion.

You should listen to “it’s a long way there” by Little River Band. It’s a great song that helped the band emerge into the USA (they’re an Australian band).
