Unreal Engine Vive and Xbox Controllers Play Nice Together

  • In pursuit of creating some virtual production tools, I have a camera controlled by a Vive motion controller attached to a platform piloted by an xbox controller. This lets me move around a scene to frame a shot, then use the vive controller to capture camera movement.
    These two controllers would sometimes fight each others, so I've gone in and made some tweaks. Now they're best friends.

    all your videos are thought provoking, thanks. I got an idea using this technique, can we attach vive tracker to real camera for real actor with green screen and game controller for dolly and zoom. If this workout then I think we don't need to go for composure workflow. I am planning for a full movie in virtual production indie way. I need your help.

      You should be able to skip composure if you just track motion, but I like using composure to make sure things look good.
