Hi Annie, how are you my lovely friend? Thank you as always for watching and supporting ❤️❤️❤️❤️ sending you lots of hugs and wishing you a wonderful day 😘
Thank you so much Pamela, I’m so happy you like it. Last month i did a similar experiment with the “puffy embossing” technique ☺️ thank you for watching my videos and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️
I tried it! I liked just using it free hand and adding a cloisonne embossing powder which gave a great effect. I tried to wipe off the excess Vaseline with a paper towel but it didn't work. Then I used baby powder to try and dry it up. Helped some. Then I used distress oxide ink over the panel and buffing it off the embossed areas. WOW effect. Gives a stain glass look when you hold the cardstock up to light.
Hi Annie, thank you so much for watching my video. I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it. Sending you lots of hugs and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lee, thank you so much for watching video, so happy you like it, wishing you lots of fun while playing with it. Have a lovely day and happy crafting ❤️
Hi Susan, thank you so much for watching my videos, so happy you like it. I've just checked your channel and oh wow, so many lovely videos there. I've just subscribed and will be looking few later on too. Sending you hugs my crafty friend and wishing you a wonderful day ❤❤
Thank you so much Shelly, so happy you like it ☺️ I wish I had a bit more time there as when I was finishing I already had more ideas in my head, so may think of part 2😆 thank you for watching my videos and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️😘
Ooooo 😮 this is a super technique Marta!!! All the fun and inexpensive beautiful creations we can make 🥰💖 Thank you for sharing this, your papers look amazing ♥️💙💜💕
Hi Cindy!!! 🤗🤗 thank you so much. I’m so happy you like it. This was totally happy accident, I was moisturising Wojtuś and accidentally took Vaseline to my craft room with me, then I thought since it already here why not use it 😂😂😂😂 how is everyone? Hope you are all doing great. Hugs to all you, and please say hi to Jocelyn and TJ, have a wonderful day 😘
Hi Thea, how is the weather like on your side? I love the third one too! So happy you enjoyed my video. Sending you hugs and wishing you a wonderful evening ❤️❤️😘
Hi Marta, interesting experiment, I like the marble effect, surprising what you have in the cupboard that can be used in crafting. I watched a video where hand sanitizer ( not the gel )was used in place of the alcohol and then sprinkled with brusho powders, it worked very well on different card stock and photo papers. Take care.
Thank you so much Maryna, yes the kitchen towel will absorb all extra greassines but with the embossing powder you cannot use iron as it will remelt it and it would stick to the towel instead. thank you for watching my videos and wishing you a lovely day ❤❤❤
I can appreciate your trying this.....the best ideas only come from trying something different. Good on you ! I may have missed it.... watercolor paper better???
Hello my friend, thank you so much for all your kind words, I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed my video, this means so much to me. I’m actually using regular cardstock here, 250gsm thick, which I buy in bulks on eBay. Hope this helps, if any more questions I’ll be happy to help ☺️ sending you hugs and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️
Hi Elaine, that is definitely great idea to try, the only thing I’m worried is if vellum will not soak the Vaseline? 🤔 in all my cards papers kind of soak it and then the embossing powder just sticked to the paper, but on the areas where it was to much I had to tap it with kitchen towel as it was still runny. But will definitely give it a go, maybe we will find something new here 🤗🤗 thank you so much and wishing you a wonderful evening ❤️❤️😘
Love experiment 3 and 4 even if there was a lot of vaseline. Will try it with some two tone embossing powder I have. But not till we get the alternator on the boat fixed..... No spare power for crafting. 😂😂
Thank you so much Elaine, I hope you get your power sorted soon. I must to say I sometimes feel envy for your incredible lifestyle, I bet you most of the time you surrounded by nature, must be beautiful at this time of the year. Are you collecting some bits on the river banks? I love crafting with my beach findings 🥰 sending you lots of hugs my friend ❤️❤️❤️
Love the idea. Thanks for the tutorial. It probably isn't an archival technique, though. Wouldn't the oil from the Vaseline leach through to other pages in a journal over time?
Hi Marta, what an interesting use of vaseline. I liked your marble effect, number 3. I don't think its something i would try, but you never know, i might experiment one day. Tfs xx
No, all of my cards are looking good inside, but I used thick 250gsm cardstock for it. If you worry it may stain your card on the inside you can leave your piece on the kitchen towel and put some book for weight, then kitchen towel should soak the oil from it. But I do recommend to use liquid adhesive as the double sided tape didn’t grip well to the oily surface. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️
Thanks for the video Marta. I've never seen this technique before. Number 3 is my favourite. When it dried was it ok to stick it onto the card blank or did it make it greasy and bleed through? I didn't think vaseline would ever dry completely?
Hi Linda, thank you so much for watching my friend. I was afraid of this too. The was majority of the Vaseline soaked into the paper. To be secure I used liquid glue as I thought the double sided tape may not be enough. All 3 first cards were okay. The last one, where I added to much I had to dab a bit with kitchen towel. But later on it was fine too. They do not feel greasy to touch and colour of the distressed sprayed background has even out even more later, so far all good. Tomorrow I will finish them up and will post some close up photos on my Facebook page. Sending you hugs and wishing you a nice evening ❤️❤️❤️😘😘
Wow, how interesting! Thank you so much for the inspiration. I like card 1 and 3 very much. I think with different stencils you can get very great effects. I love this organic look. ❤ Subscription left there ❤
Thank you so much Tricia, the only one card was a bit greasy was the last one, where i daaed too much, but I cover it with kitchen towel and let it absorb the rest. Thank you for watching my videos and wishing you a wonderful day ❤❤
Hey Tim, thank you so much for watching my video, yes the paper has soak all the vaselinne inside and it was a little bit greassy on the back, thats whyy I used liquid glue instead of the double-sided tape. I adhere them on the 250 gsm card bases and nothing had bleed to inside of the cards. Hope this helps. Once again thank you for watching and wishing you a lovely day ❤
Hi Lynne 🤗 lovely to meet you my friend. Oh I’m excited, welcome to our wonderful crafting family. It is a great hobby and so many wonderful friends are here on RUclips. If you will ever have any questions please just ask. I’m also doing some live craft classes, here on RUclips (I had a little break due to my health but I’ll be coming back very soon) these are free, so always feel welcome to join as there we can live chat☺️ what is your favourite thing to do? Are you more into stamps or die cutting? I’m seriously addicted to paper, not only crafting but also hoarding 🙈😂😂😂 Sending you hugs from Scotland and wishing you a wonderful day ❤️
@@dropofsunshine hi and Thank you for having me. I hav geminis n waiting for my 2 to arrive. As I am decorating and had many things done to my home I havent yet made a card, I just buy n buy n buy as a crafter u will fully understand that n the need for all those paper pads haha. I will start using both stamps n dies and stencils ect as soon as i am able.( n my craft room is done) I look forward to joining in the lives with u n other crafters n learn as much as I can. Thanks for sharing.Never would of thought of using vaseline with embossing powder. Love the marble effect. Did you color the paper before or was that the original paper. Will have to give this a try.. Thanks again.
Thank you so much Laura, so happy you like it🥰 I’m one of this people who are constantly feel the need to try something, vast majority of times it ends up with disasters or ruined supplies🙈😂😂 but from time to time I come across something 😆 thank you for watching my videos, sending you hugs and wishing you a lovely day ❤️😘
Hi Jackie, only the last card, where I put to much was a bit oily, the last one were okay. You can always sprinkle card with baby powder to soak up the moisture or place a papertowel and press with a book for a 30 minutes, these will soak up ane grerasiness too. Thank you so much for watching my tutorials, sending you hugs and wishing you a wonderful day ❤

End results look good. I doubt it's something I'd try myself. But.. I'm not adventurous 😂
Hi Sandra, how are you my dear, as always thank you so much for support and watching my videos ❤
Have you tried an iron and kitchen paper to soak up the residue of the vaseline? Would lobe to know others ideas and results. ❤❤❤❤the outcome.

Hi Marta, what an interesting use of vaseline. I liked your marble effect, number 3. I don't think its something i would try, but you never know, i might experiment one day. Tfs xx
Thank you so much for warning Karen, number 3 is also my favourite, wishing you a lovely day ❤️❤️❤️
Just wondering what you use to adhere them to the white cardstock as the vasaline would of soaked through and be oily. 😊
interesting, if you attach to another card stock does the oil soak through ??
No, all of my cards are looking good inside, but I used thick 250gsm cardstock for it. Thank you so much Tricia, the only one card was a bit greasy was the last one, where i daaed too much, but I cover it with kitchen towel and let it absorb the rest. Thank you for watching my videos and wishing you a wonderful day ❤❤
Maybe you could iron the back with a kitchen paper on a low setting and soak away the remaining grease 🤔
Hello Marta, will the backside of the paper not greasy by the Vaseline?
Hey Tim, thank you so much for watching my video, yes the paper has soak all the vaselinne inside and it was a little bit greassy on the back, thats whyy I used liquid glue instead of the double-sided tape. Wow, another super effect. Love the 3rd one, with the marble effect. Did you use any special paper, or just plain cardstock?
Hi Katarina, how are you? No it is just a regular cardstock, 250gsm, sprayed with oxide inks. Thank you for watching and sending you hugs 😘😘😘
Love, love the marble look! I would like to know if the oil in the vaseline makes your whole card oily or does it dissipate with time?
