Good call Lance - the R&G one was just too obtrusive. The Triumph one is much more subtle. It’s not crazy expensive either so I think I’ll follow suit. Thanks for the video.
Finally break'n down and getting the Triumph case protectors and a new medallion for the scratched one on the clutch side. My Hepco and Becker crash bars saved everything, but gravel scratched the case and medallion. I noticed the clutch cable clip you didn't get snapped in properly.
I have been humming and hawing about which case protectors to get for so long. The R&G ones are just so ugly. Thanks for making this video, I needed to see how the OEM ones would look before I bought them!
I purchased from Lossa Engineering. Took a while to get here, but its worth it www.lossaengineering.com/collections/2016-triumph/products/2016-triumph-engine-case-protectors
sadly it wont protect the area of the clutch cover that gets scratched in a garage tipover like the one that happened to me in slow motion the second day of ownership because of the goof kickstand not locking in place. That scratch, though almost unnoticeable, happened to be right underneath that brass badge thingy on the clutch cover. I think the R&G bumpers would have saved it but i dont think the new ones you have there will protect anything except where they cover. By protruding the R&G is better, just like my wiener is protruding a dent into my gas tank.
I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune! Im honestly really hoping that I never need them for their intended purposes lol I mainly have the protectors for the looks

Thanks for uploading the vid. I can see it helping someone.
Looks great, this video was helpful. I just got my engine guards today. Are you going to put sliders or crash bars on your speed twin?
I dont think im going to add crash bars or sliders, but its not a bad idea! Protecting the bike is very important 👍 thanks for watching!!
That looks much better now. Nice work 👍
Indeed, much nicer, and well integrated into the Speedy
Hi lance
What size are your turn signal lenses as I’m looking to get hold of them as the uk spec ones are too small in my opinion?
Im not sure! They're stock usa headlights, thats all i know 👀 sorry i cant help
Great video stay safe looking forward to next one 🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks brother 🤘
Put these on my Speed Twin and definitely look better than the R&G ones or some I found on Amazon that stick out kinda ruin the look of the bike
I think the triumph protectors look great 👍 thanks for watching

I prefer function over form, but the triumph protectors look so nice I had to have them! Thanks for watching 👍

Those R&G’s were hideous!
Yeah idk what I was thinking when I put those on 😅
You cut out the most important part of the install. Literally what I came here to see - removing the metal bracket 😒
Im not sure what metal bracket you're talking about? It's a piece of plastic held on by a few bolts. You shouldn't be stuck on any part of the install
