This was one of my audition pieces in high school. It gives me great comfort to listen to it as an adult. Exquisitely played! ❤

Complimenti Maestro, la sua è sicuramente una tra le più originali esecuzioni di questo formidabile brano di Schumann, tocco, classe, idee... c'è tutto!

A fine piano technique, well filmed to see " how" he uses his arms with relaxed weight. Carefully thought out and some convincing and unusual tempi Bravo!

Cyprien, you were quite funny while you were young and you still have that positivity within you. And that humorous spontaneity of your interpretations I cherish above all

I hear the ideas so clearly now! It’s so obvious! Schumann poking fun at the rigid salon music of the time, David against Goliath. Again and again he rises above the fray, finally soaring and transcendent!! Such music as angels play. You know this reminds me of the first time I heard Shakespeare performed properly. It just makes sense. I find myself saying “but of course, it’s all so simple now”!!!

When I hear pianists overemphasizing the semitone ending of the first piece I stop listening. DaTA like a slap in the face. Periah gives this semitone its due gentle emphasis and then stops overemphasizing it. You don't get daTa, daTa,daTa, daTa

I had to play it 1975/76 and was not amused. It was no fun to be young, no fun to sound cute,
no fun to comprehend Schumann´s judgement on Beethoven, to comprehend his Eusebius/Florestan antithesis.
Katsaris looks like the dream of a musicologist, but he is a musician.
In the private dreams of my own Pogorelich and his dancing teeth commit Conrad Poohs and liver cancer.
Aimez-vouz Brahms? I love cookies, tea and Scriabin for free.
Katsaris teaching Chopin for free, hey, I just forgot my cookies, must watch it again!
