I cannot explain how I am feeling right now. To finish 17th last year and make the top 4 this year is such a great achievement and I believe we can do some damage in September. 2022 may go down as one of the best seasons in the modern era, because of so many amazing games and close finishes. What a wonderful time to be a Collingwood supporter GO PIES.

No matter how the finals turns out for collingwood it has been a historic year for the club the season they've had is insane
They remind me of the bulldogs of 2016. Anything’s possible
They can do it. The supporters believe magpies persistence kaos system can deliver a premiership.
If the Pies make it to the big dance and it's a close one, they'll believe its theirs.
Their 104.2% while in the four is the lowest since the Western Bulldogs 25 years ago when they were in fourth spot with 101.8%. The Pies have played some very wondrous, glorious, tough and delightful footy this season, winning by close margins.
OMG that was insane!!! How did the Pies do that!!! They were down by 24 and it was looking like a Blues win. The last 5 minutes were nerve-racking!!!! McCreery's goal from the pocket with 5 minutes left was a masterpiece, and Jamie Elliott is a clutch king🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 What a game. Atmosphere was off the chain!!! Packed crowd with 89 000 people, final 2 minutes deciding the finals fate of Bulldogs & Carlton and Collingwood in the Top 4. Unbelievable.

Nearly 90,000 fans in attendance at the ‘G one of the best clashes between two of the AFL’s most formidable and revered sides. Surprised it didn’t crack 100,000 fans.
MCC members is why. Couldn’t get a ticket. Was sold out for general admission days before the game. 12000 empty seats is a joke.
Afl should have used their power years ago to make sure those seats didn’t go to waste.

I am lost for words at the moment, I have literally lost count of how many thrillers the pies have won this year but full credit to them. The pies just have this never say die attitude in them and manages to play out the whole game and to give everything they have got till the 4 quarter siren. Even though I barrack for the tigers, I feel bad for the blues fans where they had a good season this year and unfortunately lost the games that arguably got stolen away from them.

Most of the thrilling games of the season have Collingwood playing in them.
@@miakmon3763 I agree I have lost count how many thrillers the pies were involved this year but on the top of my head I would say around 15 matches this year the pies have been involved in games that were around 17 or points or less(win or lose)

When I was watching the game some of my family were Collingwood supporters and they said well Bulldogs fans watching this, actually cheering for Collingwood cos you know if you don't go for then you hate them.

All I have to say is, wow! Game of the season! Credit to Collingwood for finding a way to win but I feel bad for Carlton fans, 2 weeks in a row they have a victory stolen right in front of them.

I remember walking out of the Knights v Raiders game at the NRL, we turned Kayo on his phone and we must’ve put it on the second the siren went off because we saw the look on Patty Cripps face. We just stared at each other like “what did we just miss?!”
This has to be one of the greatest, funniest things of all time.
The arrogant Blues choke 2 weeks in a row, to miss out by a point in the last minute.
Carlton looked disorganised at the start of this video. This is also the second time in just over twenty-four hours where a team blew a lead of twenty-five points or more AND lost. They did fight their way from about nineteen points down and led by four goals at three-quarter time, but blew it in a heartbreaking manner. All they needed was ONE (OR TWO) GOAL(S) in the final quarter to seal eighth spot, but Collingwood fought tooth-and-nail for the win and the top four spot. How far will Collingwood go in the Finals? Time will tell.
All they needed was one point. A draw would've been enough to make the 8

This is what makes our game so unique. Elliott would have been shouting instructions to Ginivan but there's no way he would have been able to hear him above the crowd. Elliott was the consummate forward as he checked twice for an inside option, in the end he took the responsibility with his deadly right foot. BTW ... I support neither of these teams. Let's hope the finals produce some more of this standard.

What would have been interesting to see would have been been if the Doggies had won by two goals less, and a one point loss to the Pies meant the Blues still finished 8th! Same as if they would have won.

What's better than beating Carlton by a point? = also ending their season after they had been in the 8 all year after every round. They have spoilt big games for us time and time again over the years, so this was extra special....Go Pies, it will be tough but the Cats are beatable!

There's no logical reason why it should be so but why are most of the goals scored at the MCG kicked at the city end? In the last half there was 1 goal kicked at the Punt road end and 13 at the city end. Seems to happen most games.
