    Nice to finally see somebody demo a partial brake bleed or simply adding fluid. A full bleed may NOT always be necessary. I will try this "add" method on bike this weekend. Thanks!

    This took all the intimidation out of bleeding brakes for me. I'd rather pull the brake lever then mess around with all that other stuff in the package. Thanks for the great tip! Oh and PS, my issue was created by the exact problem you described except I loaned the bike to a friend and that's how it came back.

    Worked perfectly. I read an article and out advised to tilt the brake 45 degrees forward squeeze the brake untried bubbles stop then 45 degrees the other direction repeat until bubbles stop and then back to highest position and finish. I did have additional bubbles come up at the 45 degree tilts.

    Worked like a charm. The best part is leaving all the extra stuff in the package and never using it! And it does take some persistence and a lot of squeezes. And jostling the bike a little, which dislodged some of the air bubbles I guess, but gently so the oil doesn't slosh out of the funnel.

    • @CmdrTigerKing
      @CmdrTigerKing Год назад

      eeasy wayto do it is instead of fulls squeezes the wshole time.... literally flick the handle ,you dont need to movei t much... just enough to cause internal movement... it works the best ... to make it even better tilt the bike to the sides as well as turning the handlebars to the max...will get a ton of air out

    Very good. Booked my bike at the bike shop to do this after messing it up. I had successfully done Shimano brakes with a kit but found it very difficult. tried again on another bike following this video. Nearly done it. 15-20 mins of getting bubbles out and back brake working again but still rather soft. Another go on the bubbles and I should be there. I now see the Tektro brake reservoir may have 2 fill points and I was using one a big large so got some leakage. Will try next time with another fill point

    I was able to Burp my Rear brake without a funnel or ANY special tools .. Just leveled lever, used a normal syringe to keep the 'hole' where the screw was full of fluid as bubbles came up as a beat the Lever 50 times fast.. Little messy, but easy cleaning and worked like a charm!

    when you pump the lever to get the HD fluid down in the hose to the caliper.. use a vibrator (for massage ) to help get the bubbles out of the line.. You can rubber band the vibrator to the hose just blow handlebar height. That works well.. bubbles come right up to the reservoir funnel...

  • @CmdrTigerKing
    @CmdrTigerKing Год назад

    You could pull the lever prior to removing the funnel. Then before releasing reinsert the bleedscrew... that way you shouldn leak any or a lot less since the oil is being sucked downn instead of just chillin at the top...ive never done it just a thought
