You sound like every single man pushing on in years with an extensive collection of shoes, shirts or whatever ; their lives are lived by distraction not actual hot intense sex
I like when you add the whole photo of the colognes, like from the ones you didn’t have. Makes it easier to recognize when I go buy it. Yesterday I tried getting the YSL you recommended in another video and a lot of their bottles look exactly the same.
Guerlain Homme is my absolutely favorite fragrance of all time! I'm glad you managed to shed some light on it as it doesn't usually make it to youtubers' lists. Cheers for you
When I started my fragrance collection I purchased and wore the niche semi- challenging scents to smell different. Three years later and Ive gotten to the point where I just want to smell fresh and clean. The great thing is this also boosts my mood so it's a win! Coincidentally, women love when a man smells fresh and clean and a little sweetness can be the cherry on top. Since I made this change to my fragrance habits I have never experienced so much positive reactions from women. Dior homme 2020 and Sport 2021, affordable designers, get me unreal reactions all year around. I started wearing fragrance for myself and wasn't concerned with compliments. At the same time, Im not complaining that these scent profiles are winners no matter what. I still retain my trusty bottle of Layton and Nishane Nefs for when I want something heavier.
*Fragrance is such an underrated way to elevate your presence and leave a lasting impression. It’s crazy how just a few sprays can take your vibe from average to magnetic.*
I cannot believe the timing of this video. I haven't worn cologne in about 20 years. I recently lost a ton of weight (about 70 lbs!!!) and am what you would consider lean, for the first time in my entire life!!! I've been buying tons of clothes the past 2 months b/c it's actually fun now. Last night I decided to start looking into cologne again and was going to comment to ask if you'd do another video like this, then, BAM, here it is. I was excited so I left this comment before watching the video lol. I do have a question, but let's see if you've already answered it...
I haven't used any kind of fragrance in a while. After watching this, I may begin to use some! Courtney, I hope you and your husband have a wonderful weekend!
@@CourtneyRyan Thank you for making me look back into my childhood (2010) and reunite with Fierce. I always pretended to hate it but I always knew deep down that I always loved it and you made me feel honest about. I finally got a bottle and do not regret a thing.
Declaration d'Un Soir is discontinued... but, yes, it was a great one.. try Le Male Le Parfum or Le Male Elixir... based on your recommendations I think you'll love those 2
For those that haven't tried it, Layton by Parfums de Marly is a MUST HAVE for every man, in my opinion. I've worn this for over two years and I haven't encountered anyone that didn't like it, and the longevity on this fragrance is INSANE. Like Courtney said, it's perfect during this time, fall/winter. It's pricey, but the biggest bottle that you'll buy is 125 ml, which is more then the normal 100ml, so it's worth it! Edit: I just went on their official site and they also appearently sell a 200ml bottle as well, so I stand corrected.
Wait… they now sell a 200ml bottle of Layton?!! I think I just heard my credit card start sobbing. Layton is my signature scent and not only do I love it but it is the biggest compliment puller in my collection.
Paco Rabanne Invictus Elixir is my current favorite but the whole Invictus line and the One Million line are fantastic. Also, classic but good is Armani Code and it's actually affordable.
My all time favourite fra: 1. Roja Elisyum and Roja Ocenia for Summertime 2. Layton Exclusive for Fall 3. Herod for Winter 4. Initio Atomic Rose for Spring❤
The ones ladies love on me are Amber Oud Gold Edition, Creed Viking, Carte Blanche, Amber Oud Bleu Exclusif, Angel Share, Trajan, Symphonium and Aoud Vanille
It's good to hear someone recommending Fierce. It doesn't get much respect since it was so popular, but it is a great scent. I think it was also made by a really famous and respected perfumer.
I love this video and have been following you and Teddy for several years... I think you both deserve each other and I am ecstatic that you are now man and wife.. keep on helping us to help ourselves : )
Hugo Boss...one and only. I got the latest version 160$. Women at work are going craazy...although My wannabe Girlfriend there said "You can't wear this parfume at work". Also She said I should wear it only when We go somewhere.
Sadly i cant use any cologne. My nose is too sensitive and freaks out anytime i smell any fragrance. My eyes water and my nose burns with even a slight wiff. I stick with a nice deodorant. But i wish that i could use something that didnt smell like chemicals and something artificial.
All of those sound fantasic. About 10 years ago I spent what I hought was a lot of money on a killer fragrance (about$110 AUD) it was Hugo Boss 'Baldessarini' Top notes include tangerine, bitter orange, green mint and curacao, with heart notes of cumin seeds, patchouli flower and clove buds. Base notes combine sandalwood, pine, fir balsam, patchouli leaves, tobacco, amber and musk. It is recommended for evening wear.
Not a big expert on perfumes, but I prefer light fresh smell like YSL - Y or Aqua di Gio or Boss Bottled. Probably overhyped for somebody but I don't care. Maybe I'll try something more niche. Last time I tried some from Maison Margiela in store and suprisingly I like almost all of them. :)
Just started watching your videos and came across this bought guerlain homme, not even knowing. I'm definitely not disappointed. Great videos by the way. Really like the ones where you give ideas on outfits so helpful.
One that you didn't mention that you did mention in a previous video was Prada Luna Rosa Black. I got it based on your recommendation and really like it. My wife loves it.
When I first started getting into fragrances, I watched the Jeremy Fragrance channel to get educated. There are other good channels out there to educate men on fragrance and fashion.
Important things: 1:21 First Fragrance; 2:24 Second Fragrance; 4:20 Third Fragrance; 5:51 Fourth Fragrance; 7:10 Fifth Fragrance; 8:47 Sixth Fragrance; 10:00 Seventh Fragrance; and 12:06 to summarize all the told here. This is very interesting video Courtney. Tastes are different and should not be discussed. The most beautiful fragrance is the scent of a pure soul and heart (believe it or not) 😉🙃🙂🤓😎❤💙🤍.
I love green Irish tweed but it’s more of a spring early summer day cologne. I too like it better than Aventus! I’ll need to check out Guerlain. I like that you have some more obscure colognes.
M. Micallef makes amazing stuff. I wear GnTonic when it’s warm and Desir Toxic when it’s colder. Of all the stuff I’ve sampled on scent split, those were the two that I decided to buy full bottles of right away
I was unfamiliar with the first one only so I'll check it out. I have PdM Layton Exclusif and I don't know how it differs from Layton but it is my top luxury cologne in my collection.
Thank you for another Men's fragrance update. I have to watch for alleric reactions to them. A few I have tried gave me rashes...so I need to watch it... So, I agree with previous response. Soap Bar and Deodorant stick. Cheaper also.
Word of caution about spending money on Abercrombie & Fitch, they seem more interested in pushing a Marxist 'woke' agenda than being a company producing products for customers. Thank you Courtney for the fragrance suggestions. I've never worn fragrance all my life but aside from concerns about the chemicals in them, I wouldn't mind giving most of these a whiff and see what I like.
I went with your recommendation and bought the Cartier Declaration d'un Soir, and I'm pretty sure if James Bond wears a perfume, this is it. If you love this one I'd recommend you also try Carolina Herrera's Virgin Mint and Bvlgari pour homme, they're not exactly similar but have the same classy gentleman vibe. Also other favorites worth trying are English Pear and Fresia by Jo Malone and Cedrat Boise by Mancera.
My brother bought me Irish Tweed for my birthday & it’s definitely a different type of scent. Seems more of an aquatic scent IMO, but I’m getting use to it & overall do like the smell.
Interesting list. I haven’t had much luck with P DM. Fall obsessions… Creed Viking ( for the rose). MFK Grand Soir (for the vanilla), Xerjof More Than Words (a mix of Tom Ford’s plum japonais and MFK silk mood). 🎉Guerlain Heritage ( gold cap before reformulation). Le 3d Homme de Caron (if you know, you know).
After watching your video, I went cologne shopping with my wife and my 24 year old son. I asked her to come with me because, of course, I want my wife to like whatever scent I select. My son came because he has a gift for smell (I know that sounds weird, but I trust his nose). We sampled almost all of the colognes you recommended, as well as others I've seen reviewed on RUclips. But the one my wife AND my son selected for me was at a Buckle Store, called BKE Grey Intense Cologne. AND it was under $40! Best scent hands down according to both of them, and I had to agree. Give it a sniff yourself & tell me if you agree or not.
Tom Ford F'n Fabulous layered (1 spray ) with Tom Ford Tobacco V. ( 2 sprays) turns heads non-stop, my all year is Aqua gio Profumo ..... and Ohio here 😉
Great list Courtney. Love Green Irish Tweed and Jazz Club. Thank you for all the amazing content my friend. Hope you and hubby have a great day and weekend. Stay safe.
Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.
It hurts because us guys are straightforward and know when we love someone. Women aren't the same way. You can't go crazy over someone and do everything and invest everything on her. Part of her will actually look down on you. I've been there and learned my lesson.
I really wanna dive more into fragrances, my girlfriend sent me some cologne, it should arrive later today. I'm definitely gonna check out these fragrances too, my girlfriend and I wanna meet up and head up north to Napa Valley for a wonderful dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse I checked out this past summer, I'll definitely need a good fragrance. Also, there's one cologne I wanna try called "Mojave Ghost", it sounds incredible.
My favorites compared to what my wife likes are totally different. I wear fragrances for what i like & care less about compliments. So my top 7 right now (live in cold, dry climate) in no order 1)Creed-spice & wood 2)MFK- Grand Soir 3)Amouage- jubilation 25 4)Memo- Russian leather 5)Bodicea The V- Blue Sapphire 6)Clive Christian-1872 masculine 7)Initio-Side Effect This would change depending on sessons for the very different sessons.
Anybody else out there with a really sensitive sense of smell? I've avoided any kind of fragrance my entire life (I religiously use scent-free deodorant, scent-free laundry detergent, etc.). I've never smelled any kind of fragrance that actually smells like something I'd want to wear and/or be around somebody wearing it. Cologne, perfume, masculine, feminine, doesn't matter, I've always found them to be repulsive. Turns out it's a high sensitivity to this stuff in general. I refuse to go through sensory hell just for the hope of appealing to women. Any opinions on what somebody should do in my position? ...Maybe Courtney's dad is like me. Resents the smell of Abercrombie, Fitch, and everything between :)
I'm not sure if anyone else likes this one, but I like Prada Sport. Is like a summer cologne but iI live in Southern Cali and it's always hot here. Versace for winter when I'm on the east coast.
Fragrances are so subjective. There are fragrances I have that I love to wear, but my woman hates them, and some that I don't like as much that she loves.
I can attest to how good the Memo Paris Russian Leather is. It's slightly more expensive but my favorite "outdoor, woodsy, lumber jack-ish, mans man" smell. It's like how an outdoors man in the winter after a bit of light snow but before the holiday season after chopping down a pine tree would smell like. Lol The pine feel is not over powering either, but it's just right.
Teddy mentioned Memo and Im sold on this house. Super charged Performance that just dont stop. Russian leather is insane and African leather is a little more toned down and wearable. MARFA (unisex) is probably the best EDP i own. Love Memo as its HIGH END EXCELLENCE.
The rose note in Dior Homme Parfum is really nice as well. I think you can def do a masculine rose effectively as long as you’ve got some supporting woods and musks in the base
Being a fellow Buckeye...I feel I can correct you. We don't have a "southern" accent,we have a Midwestern Drawl. 😚 le'nuit de l'homme is what I'm rocking today. YSL knocked it out with it IMO.
@courtneyryan I'd love see the types of fragrances that match the weather: rainy days, sunny days, winter, summer, etc.. How you feel about the Acqua di Gio for men?
The rose in d'un soir keeps many men away from it, but ladies like rose in fragrance so you cant go wrong with it. Btw Courtney, Bad Boy EDT doesnt have a rose note in it. You may be talking about a flanker.
I love Green Irish Tweed it is one of my favorite scents. Someone told me about Royal Crown Rain and I must say it is the best smelling version of the Creed Green Irish Tweed DNA. My wife and I didn’t like Layton. It was just ok for us. Talking about Fierce I need to grab to Percival.
The fragrances I enjoy the most in my collection are not in any particular order, although if you haven't tried TOM FORD, you need to. 1. Tom Ford Fing Fabaulos 2. SBOY by Dracco 3. Tom Ford Black Orchid 4. Creed Aventus 5. Creed Green Irish Tweed 6. Gucci Oud and Gucci Oud Intense 7. Jean Paul Gaultier le male 8. Sauvage Elixer: My wife hates it. 9. Rose 31 by Le Labo 10. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver 11. Creed Vetiver 12. Tom Ford Ombre Leather 13. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille 14. Paco Rabanne 1 Million
Guerlain homme, creed green Irish tweed, and PDM layton are in my regular rotation. TF beau du jour and guerlain heritage, initio side effect, xerjoff naxos, and terre de hermes round out the cooler months and nishane hacivat and creed Viking cologne work in the warmer months.. and IDC if I’m basic but Sauvage I will wear any time
1. Cartier - Oud & Amber 2. Narcotica- Dulce Diablo 3. Roja- Enigma 4. Roja - Parfum De La Nuit 2 & 3 5. Thomas De Monaco- Raw Gold ( or Dior Homme Intense) 6. Les Abstraits- La DoulerExquise 7. Scents of woods- Vanilla in Armagnac 8. The Harmonist- Hypnotizing Fire 9. Fredric Malle- Musc Ravageur 10. Tobacco Vanille
Versace ~ Man Top: White lemon, rose wood, carambola Heart: Tarragon, cedar leaves, clary sage Base: Musk, amber, sycamore wood Olfactory family: Aromatic, tonic, woody
Always been a fan of fragrance. Props to courtney for being knowledgeable and telling us the notes, longevity, etc. Such a simple step that can elevate your confidence and appearance just that much more
Lots of colognes aggravate my allergies and unfortunately Jazz Club is one of them, but I do like it. By The Fireplace, however I get along well with and I like it. Tho in the summer months I'd like something with a lighter vibe to it. I will have to find some samples of the other ones you have in this video. Thx.
What are you honest thoughts on Versace Eros, Eros Flame and Dylan Blue, or others of similar quality/price? I waste several hundred dollars a month on silly, frivolous nonsense (books, blu rays, statues, collectibles), but in my mind I can't justify $300+ for a bottle of cologne. Are the fragrances I mentioned considered, I don't know, low class, cheap, etc? I'd love your HONEST feedback here. If the general consensus is that they are very low quality, then I just need to adjust my mindset.
Have got Creed Aventus for many years, it’s the only scent I find the most natural..also my wife doesn’t like many other fragrances like me. I tried sometimes another one, but it’s often a chemical mess.. What I found of many brands that they are very alike…especially the basenotes.. I stick with this one…
Hey Courtney, my two favorite fragrances are Tom Ford Extreme (out of print) and Chanel Egoiste, which admittedly smell a little similar. Any thoughts on these, or would you review them in a future video?

Courtney doesn’t miss. Ordered Guerlain Homme blind just based off this video and I can confirm the scent is top notch. Huge W Courtney

Tom Ford F'n Fabulous layered (1 spray ) with Tom Ford Tobacco V. ( 2 sprays) turns heads non-stop, my all year is Aqua gio Profumo ..... and Ohio here 😉
What would you recommend for an older gentleman? I would like to smell good when I go out.
Last frag I got compliment from was recent. Solarissimo Lovanzo by Azzaro. Love fragrance. It's art that makes you smell good or unique.
I didnt even think of fragrances as per season, but thats why I watch this lady!
Tom Ford’s Myrrhe Mystere is number 1 fav.
I daily the Oud Wood
Mine are Bleu De Chanel Parfum, La Nuit De L’homme, Stronger With You Intensely, Tom Ford Noir Extreme, Chanel Allure Homme Eau Extreme.
Great list Courtney. Love Green Irish Tweed and Jazz Club. Thank you for all the amazing content my friend. Hope you and hubby have a great day and weekend. Stay safe.
Home' is my 3rd favorite #2 Hatem #1 NRG.
I might have to grab the Memo Paris Russian leather. I remember seeing it somewhere at the mall and never bought it.
Amazing, how did you get a spiritual counsellor, and how do i reach her?
Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked her up now online. impressive.
It hurts because us guys are straightforward and know when we love someone. Women aren't the same way.
You can't go crazy over someone and do everything and invest everything on her. Part of her will actually look down on you. I've been there and learned my lesson.
You can be sure that she was planning to leave you months before she did. It's not worth worrying about.
Yeah just buy some sauvage
I’ve really been enjoying JPG Le Male Elixir, very addicting when you catch a whiff in the air 😮
finally someones advice i can genuinely listen to
I really wanna dive more into fragrances, my girlfriend sent me some cologne, it should arrive later today.
Anything that I put on that smells good is for me. Because I like it. I could care less that anyone else likes it. And that is how it should be.
That’s great!
My favorites compared to what my wife likes are totally different. I wear fragrances for what i like & care less about compliments. So my top 7 right now (live in cold, dry climate) in no order
1)Creed-spice & wood
2)MFK- Grand Soir
3)Amouage- jubilation 25
4)Memo- Russian leather
5)Bodicea The V- Blue Sapphire
6)Clive Christian-1872 masculine
7)Initio-Side Effect
This would change depending on sessons for the very different sessons.
My favourites (in no particular order):
• Arabian Oud - Arabian Leather (this one mops the floor with TF Tuscan Leather)
• Abdul Samad Al Qurashi - Safari Extreme
• Dior - Eau Sauvage Parfum
• Chanel - Sycomore EDP
• Mancera - Cedrat Boise
• Cartier - Pash de Cartier Parfum
• Dunhill - Icon Elite
• Dior Homme EDT
• Chopard - Oud Malaki
• Dior - Fahrenheit Parfum
• Molton Brown - Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel
• Abdul Samad Al Qurashi - Oud Filaria
• Abdul Samad Al Qurashi - Khashab Al Oud
• Chanel - Blue de Chanel EDP
Fragrances are so subjective. There are fragrances I have that I love to wear, but my woman hates them, and some that I don't like as much that she loves.
I can attest to how good the Memo Paris Russian Leather is. It's slightly more expensive but my favorite "outdoor, woodsy, lumber jack-ish, mans man" smell. It's like how an outdoors man in the winter after a bit of light snow but before the holiday season after chopping down a pine tree would smell like. Lol The pine feel is not over powering either, but it's just right.
I agree with PDM Layton but substitute A&F Fierce with PDM Percival. I'll also add in Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo
Your videos inspire me so much, thanks for the advice!
Teddy mentioned Memo and Im sold on this house. Super charged Performance that just dont stop. Russian leather is insane and African leather is a little more toned down and wearable. MARFA (unisex) is probably the best EDP i own. Love Memo as its HIGH END EXCELLENCE.
I'll never wear A&F apparel but the Fierce is awesome, closest fragrance to my all time favorite Montblanc Legend Intense
The rose note in Dior Homme Parfum is really nice as well. I think you can def do a masculine rose effectively as long as you’ve got some supporting woods and musks in the base
L͢E͢T͢S͢ D͢I͢S͢C͢U͢S͢S͢ A͢B͢O͢V͢E͢🧘♀️🛐👍
Le Labo Rose 31 is also fantastic.
@@obscur_artiste will give that one a try!
Living in a country thats not in USA, so currently I use D'Amaris and La Rive. So far positive feedbacks from friends and female coworkers of mine.

I wear Paul Sebastian. I get compliments on it constantly.
Toy boy! 🌹 strong rose note in that one
1. Tom Ford Fing Fabaulos
2. SBOY by Dracco
3. Tom Ford Black Orchid
4. Creed Aventus
5. Creed Green Irish Tweed
6. Gucci Oud and Gucci Oud Intense
7. Jean Paul Gaultier le male
8. Sauvage Elixer: My wife hates it.
9. Rose 31 by Le Labo
10. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
11. Creed Vetiver
12. Tom Ford Ombre Leather
13. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
14. Paco Rabanne 1 Million
I've got my bottle on Layton sitting on my desk as I type this. Thanks for the recommendation.

2. Narcotica- Dulce Diablo
3. Roja- Enigma
4. Roja - Parfum De La Nuit 2 & 3

Campfire is my favorite scent. I like sitting by one for a while then going out.
I just ordered Geoffery Beene Grey Flannel. Any of you love it or hate it?
Versace ~ Man
Top: White lemon, rose wood, carambola
Heart: Tarragon, cedar leaves, clary sage
Base: Musk, amber, sycamore wood
Olfactory family: Aromatic, tonic, woody
I have recently started using Aaron Terence Hughes fragrances - Ozone, Legend, Onyx Extreme
Always been a fan of fragrance. Props to courtney for being knowledgeable and telling us the notes, longevity, etc.
Such a simple step that can elevate your confidence and appearance just that much more
My Fave is Boadicea the Victorious Blue Sapphire Supercharged ❤ An Absolute STUNNER❤
I love your fragrance videos
I’m so glad!
Hey Courtney, my two favorite fragrances are Tom Ford Extreme (out of print) and Chanel Egoiste, which admittedly smell a little similar. Any thoughts on these, or would you review them in a future video?
