People don't fuck with this battle because they gave Jenner more time, but this is still an underrated battle for me. Hulk definitely won in my eyes. "Just you being you is enough to diss you" got me good.
Just shows it’s not about who says the most it’s what you say.
Yeah, there are certain battles that they do badly, like the Fredrick Douglas one where Jefferson's entire second turn was apologizing and seeking to be cool with Douglas then Douglas buried him.
But this one is bad only because of how utterly Hulk destroyed Jenner but Jenner kept trying to come back and it just became sad and obvious as it kept going on and on.
Lmao this battle is hilarious, people say it's in Jenner's favor because she has like twice the lines in the second verse, compared to Hulk. But I still think Hulk won with that Kylie line.
Skyler the cousin line Jenner refers is to She-Hulk, because bruce can't have Sx because he convert into hulk so the only one who can take Hulk is his cousin.
also in the Logan comics he literally had sex with his cousin and his entire family was inbred
Actually she was his lover and she ended up changing after they did the deed in the original story, when the story was remade instead of a love interest she was written as his cousin and after a blood transfusion she became she-hulk.

To be fair, Hulk is Hulk. Hulk doesn't talk his way out of things, so it makes sense that after Banner transformed, Hulk didn't get as many bars. But yeah, he did hit hard with the time he had.
I think you turned my opinion on this battle. I still don’t love it, but the breakdown on hulk’s bars helped me realize that they made up for his unfair time

That's a big reason I think people dislike it is because of the disparity of time given to each person. Jenner got a LOT more time in the battle, which many people see as giving them an edge.
Most people agree that hulk was the clear winner as well, even WITH the clear handicap of less time. So for them to give so many clear advantages, but STILL be destroyed makes it feel incredibly one sided.
I do remember hearing this is one of the few ERB's the creators kind of wished they could have done better though, and they've improved a lot over time as well!
The thing about the Hulk and his cousin is maybe a jab at a storyline that Marvel write years ago where in another world Hulk became evil and conquered his world and had kids with She-Hulk, his cousin.
Here is the issue with this battle: Bruce v Bruce was good... Then they transformed and it became more of a statement than a battle when Jenner started rapping the third round

Finally someone who enjoys the Hulks bars like I do! Completely agree Banner takes this one, I think pausing it actually helped as otherwise Caits last bars just feel very 'preachy' but I really enjoy the start if this battle and the transition is great...nearly as good as yours!

So there is a comic in an alternate reality of the marvel universe where the hulk is in a relationship with his cousin in a post apocalyptic nightmare kind of scenario. But it's one of those comics that hasn't been touched on in mainstream media.

Yeah The Hulk won... the Lopsided issue is about the time advantage Jenner got, many people say it was because of ERBs political leanings so it got a lot of hate
When people say it was lopsided towards Jenner they mean in the amount of lines she got, not the quality of lines. It’s pretty clear ERB wanted Jenner to win, but she didn’t.
The first half of the battle is great though.

One of my least favorite battles, but Hulk won. It's just sad how hard it seems they were trying to push Jenner as the winner(by giving him/her respectfully) so much more time. The cousin sex line is referencing the fact that Bruce Banner can't have sex without hulking out, but his cousin Jennifer(She-hulk) would be able to take it, so to speak.

This is one of the worst ones, bias doesn't matter, as a matter of facts this is one is really bad.
The reason why isn't because Jenner was dropping bars it was just how the turn kept going on and on like LOTR 3rd movie. It got sad.

@@YouLoveSkyler The only concession I will make is that I thought it was Hulk saying "Hulk not big enough to deal with denial." When you paused and focused on that observing that it was Jenner with a Hulk voice that actually helped the battle over all. But before that I would have said this was just about as bad as Gengis V Bunny.

You're twisting people's word lol, they never hated the transwoman, they hated the fact that she basically got a verse that is quadruple times longer than any other verse.
People don't dislike this battle because its really bad because it isn't. Its not on par with expected ERB standard, but its always the same problem when it comes to battles where at least one of the sides has Modern politics tied to them. Like Trump vs Hillary ,Douglas vs Jefferson, Hitler vs Vader etc...
On top of which for World audience Bruce Jenner ,Babe Ruth and people like that have absolutely zero value. So its Hulk vs Who?
