It's amazing how the Hulk destroyed with only eight bars, despite Caitlyn getting 22 and still being weak.
Imagine if the gloves were actually off during that last part though, probably would've hit Clint Eastwood levels of savage.

I don't know their wrighting process but they probably cut some lines out or were halfway done and on a schedule so they didn't want to quit because they made it so far.

Yeah last verse from Jenner REALLY drops the quality of this battle for me, like How u have a longer verse and still lose?, even Nice Peter & Epic Lloyd talked about this on a livestream, they did it because they didn't planned exactly how Hulk was gonna sound on a rap battle and that's why Jenner had a ridiculous long verse, & even they acknowledged than doing that was not a good decision for this battle.
Jenner talks a lot in real life and Hulk only uses short sentences so it fits the character
Plus this was during the big upsurge of transgender rights and stuff so they probably didn't wanna come off as transphobic to the sensitive people. Seriously though the Hulk Smash line alone won him that battle.

Also, that bar from Cait about Hulk hating himself is also a nod to the comics. Bruce Banner has tried to kill himself...repeatedly, but his power won't let him die. And then there's that moment in Avengers where he says he put a bullet in his mouth, and the other guy spit it out. I cannot imagine the suffering Bruce's life was before professor Hulk.

@@SSJ3CyLink Just because something is legal doesn't necessarily make it okay. However, you can do that in many countries, Sweden included where I am from. Not to mention that in a lot of countries where it is legal it is still frowned upon. But most of the US states as I know it prohibit it it. Though it's also more complicated than yes or no as there are exceptions to the laws in certain states. But the most important part is that there's a need to consider if it is ethical for cousins to have children as the chance of being born with birth defects are almost doubled from inbreeding. This is a reason as to why many royal families have had lots of medical issues through the ages, because of cousins producing children. So, I wouldn't say the legality of it has any impact on the line because it's not black on white. Not to mention that in this case Hulk most likely raped his cousin which brings another dilemma into it.

In the end it does fit the persona's though, Caitlyn Jenner: a lot of talking, very little substance. The Hulk: speaks little, but packs a hell of a punch. so whatever their reason's for making it this way, i feel like it worked out in the end :)

The line Hulk is Hulk, I believe is a reference to the comics. Someone references that Hulk is still human, and he says that he is Hulk, Banner is man.
It really says a lot about ERB that even their least-liked battles still have at least a few really good lines!
(Well, except for Adam vs. Eve and a couple of the Season 1 battles)
Hard to fault season 1, they hadn't really found their voice/hit their stride yet. But yeah the matchups where they play favorites definitely stand out in a bad way

This is one of the most panned battles by the fan base...Mostly because this one seemed to be poorly planned, as they feared getting the still fairly recently, at the time, changed Kaitlyn Jenner getting dissed so hard, plus they didn't really have an idea for what Hulk would sound like... They basically had a one-sided battle.... I don't dislike the trans person that they brought in to play Kaitlyn....but they really wasted a good beat for a battle that really needed more work.

To be honest in the grand scheme of things this is probably ERB’s weakest Battle.
At least it's not Adam VS. Eve. There's at least some strong bars in this one but Adam and Eve have zero.
I mean, hulk doesn't really need to fight Jenner. As Hulk said, Jenner cares about nothing but attention. They took a serious issue and made it a popularity contest. It doesn't matter if they are actually serious about it, the fame they allow themselves to have from it shows that either way, whether they actually have gender disphoria or not, they were willing to use the fact that they are Trans now to get attention in fame.
There is not a battle that actually has CS Lewis doing any rapping but he is at least mentioned by name in another ERB- J.R.R. Tolkien vs. George R.R. Martin

You hit the nail on the head. They should have passed it back to Hulk and had him transform to maybe Professor Hulk (a smarter less feral form at any rate) and had him acknowledge the truth in Cait's bars and had it end on a friendlier note with more equality in the lines.

Something I read in comments elsewhere, either the original video or other reactions: Apparently No Shame, the Caitlyn rapper, uses some of the bars she used here in a lot of her other stuff, like the Lion, Witch, Wardrobe bar. Presumably stuff she made before this video, too. Recycling, yo.

Hulk is being pursued by an investigative reporter, McGee, and during the opening sequence, Bruce says to McGee, "Mr. McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
They used that line in the ERBoH. It was Bruce Banner's last line in the ERBoH. "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
And you're also missing "Hulk is Hulk! No identify as man!" In other words, he's saying he's a singular entity. A species of one. He's not a man (or woman). He is the Hulk.

When Bruce Jenner mentions the cousin thing, it’s probably about the Old Man Logan storyline, where Bruce and his Cousin Jennifer had many, many kids together, who were very inbred and had a lot of problems. Yeah. Comics are weird man.
This was definitely one of their worst battles. Not really because of WHO they had in the battle but because they made it more one-sided in the end. They gave Jenner double the bars in this battle, if not more, especially near the end. It's one thing to give one battler an extra bar/line but there in the end, they just gave it to Jenner and let her run away with it without giving Hulk a chance to rebuttal any.
