Happy All Hallow's Eve friend! A very nice breakdown as always. There was only 1 thing you missed, but you kinda got half of it. The reference to neck washes is pointing towards the practice of washing a person's neck before a beheading. Vlad never did this practice when executing people via beheading, and they didnt wash his before his own execution.
Also, fun fact: the reason vampires couldnt be seen in mirrors back in the olden days was because mirrors were backed with silver, which is a holy metal.
Before the battle started it was clear that Vlad won this one.
Dracula was actually because his father was a part of the Order of the Dragon. It meant son of the Dragon, but it was changed to devil because history is written by the victorious.
Also, they were part of House Draculesti which broke off from House Basarab, the founding royal family of Wallachia, which they felt had grown too corrupted by Austro-Hungarian,Prussian,Boyar and Ottoman influence, causing them to lose touch with the Wallachian people`s interests!
i'm giving you the denzel clap.
you got all the bars. you the first reactor i've seen who got those vlad lines. denzel, take it.
denzel: my man. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
me, a denzel:
**claps**
He missed the Universal Studios reference.
I really don't like the "wow, so you can read" line. Vlad was raised and educated by the Ottomans, who had the best education system in the world at the time, he would have been far more educated than his fictional counterpart.
True about Vlad, but Dracula in the book was said to be well-spoken and had excellent command of English. Gary Oldman was the one to give him a heavy accent (he even threatened to back out if they didn’t)
@@artembentsionov He was also said to have a "learning beyond compare" and was gifted in alchemy, and studied at the Scholomance.
@@artembentsionov Actually, Bella Lugosi, the guy who ORIGINALLY played the Count, gave him the accent we all know.
Red spinel - vlad the impaler vs Count Dracula this is very good I love this song so keep up the good work.
Vlad wasn't a cannibal , or blood drinker, you're thinking of Elizabeth Báthory. The stories of him dipping blood and eating surrounded by the bodies of dieing people come from Saxons pamphlets with whom he was in conflict.
Loving these reactions and breakdowns. One of the very few people that actually understands all the references. Subbed!
Vlad would not only be pissed at his vampire counterpart for "leeching his name" but also the Austro-Hungarian Empire betrayed him on multiple occasions and Bela Lugosi who most famously portrayed The Count in the Universal Classic Films was born in the Austro-Hungarian Empire towards the end of World War I.
Maybe I am late to this party but... Oh well here I am. Dracula did not mean "Devil". It was more like "Dragon". Vlad Dracula meant more "Son of the Dragon".
Yep, the Turks,Germans,Austrians and Boyars changed the meaning when they took over Wallachia after Vlad`s death, they also constructed statues of Vlad with vampire fangs and made propaganda pamphlets of him dipping bread in the blood of his victims!(He was certainly a bloodthirsty dude in life, however whether it was to the extremes his enemies depicted will probably never be reliably known especially considering the political tensions, nationalistic pride in their ruling class and narratives in Turkey and Romania run hot to this day!)
Man I bet that you'd enjoy the Western vs Eastern Philosophers' battle almost as much as I enjoy these reactions, keep up the great work
I recorded it already! It will be out when I am out of town. Nov 8 - 15th!
Yes do Oversimplefied one of the world wars pls
^^
I am actually a big war guy. So, if I were to do one I would love to do one of those.
Hey... He kinda looks like famous superhero, Captain Packin'...
Nosferstu was an unauthorized movie adaptation of Dracula. It’s why they changed his name to Orlok. It’s also the first time Dracula was shown to be destroyed by the sun
PS. He did not 'butcher' people, he only had very extreme rules for theft. If, as an adult, you would've stolen something during the Impaler's leading, they usually would've cut off your arm, from the elbow. Children would also get punished, they would get their hands cut off, from their wrist. Like I previously said, most of the gruesome stories about him, are non factual.
Not one of my favorite battles, but good reaction none the less. Please do Oversimplified, or "History of the entire world, I guess"
I think you missed the t’aint to a t’is line which is my favorite. But either way, awesome reaction! I love the fact that I learn new stuff everytime i watch your videos, even though I have listened to these thousands of times! Keep it up!
Unfortunately I did miss that. I am glad I can supply a new outlook in this battles for you.
I was legitimately sitting there for 5 minutes straight trying to figure out what the line meant and I couldn't 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ thanks for this comment
Happy Halloween all, just had to be this one! Agree Vlad won comfortably but wasnt as excited by the Shaqula/whackula bits, just felt it is 'cheating ' changing words to rhyme despite them making no sense, bit like Snoop adding izzle to everything! Still fun and plenty of breakdown details, thanks! My birthday 6th Nov, if not Pholosophers then Superman vs Goku would be awesome?
So, the reason why its so good is because if you take the "acula" part out. It still makes a good rhyme. Shaq, Wack, Crack, and Drac, all rhyme with each other regardless. Changing the ending didn't effect the rhyme scheme of it all if that makes sense. I will see what I can do
@@YouLoveSkyler ok yeah I can see, that makes more sense at least . Fun fact, the Sesame Street character is called Count von Count !
u got the scorched thing wrong , it was comonly done by lots of kings when they were retreeting so that the enemies won't get any ressurces
Vlad was so good I kinda want him in another battle
I’m getting an “ooofff ooofff oooofff tee shirt made in your honor Skyler lol
The proper pronunciation is actually Valachia. ( The stereotypical vampire trait is actually a reference to Old Russian and Turkish stereotypes of Romanians and Hungarians pronouncing w`s as v`s which obviously isn`t as common these days but in the Medieval and Soviet eras it was very much a thing amongst poor Romanians and Hungarians).
Reaction to Alternate History would be cool
He nailed the turbans to their heads
That's so cool.
Vlad got pretty savage on that 2nd verse, and I'd like to suggest son Sam O' Nella Academy academy Chanel, his videos on Medieval Wapons or Terrare might be on the horror alley for Halloween
Ugh I love you lol every time I get a notification from this channel I get so excited!!
Off the bat 🤣 Unintentional pun FTW.
Reaction to Screen Rant’s Pitch Meetings would be fun:)
Oh sorry, I mean to say it would be TIGHT.
Is it going to be hard to convince Skyler of doing this reaction? Actually, it's going to be super easy, barely an inconvenience
Yeah.. Your reaction is always on point!.. Good work!!
Hey man, I love your reactions, keep it up! Happy Halloween and make sure to keep warm during November!
Great choice of video
The messenger was from the Ottomans I believe, and the hat he wouldn't remove was a turban worn for religious reasons. Great line.
Amazing reaction and I love your commentary, and I think you are the first person I have seen reacting to this battle that actually understood almost all references on both sides of the battle! Keep it up! Now I need to check some of your other reactions!
You should react to the Horror Character Cypher 1 & 2 from Aaron Frazer Nash. They're both raps with horror movie characters in it.
Nice outfit 😆 man love this channel
Also in the original 1931 "Dracula", Bela Lugosi actually suggested the Count wear an Ottoman amulet around his neck as a hint that he was infact Vlad who`d become a vampire and wore that amulet as a trophy to his pride in his defeat of the Ottoman Turks!
Vlad was going for the kill and Dracula was stylin to be entertaining.
Where is the pixel background from (not the outro)?
I just instaclicked the notification for this 7:36
I appreciate you having notifications on in the first place.
You missed the Universal Studios joke.
Yes Dracula got bodied by Vlad and impaled.
If you have played some games, you could also react some of video games rap battles...one of my favorite is Slenderman vs Baldi! 😁
You missed the first restaurant reference. The forest of corpses, the buffet, dipping bread in the blood, and the Tuesday references which is a double for Ruby Tuesday since both rubies and blood are the color of red.
Its a reference to the Blood buffet.
He invited Nobles that were opposed to him on a Buffet.
He had a dining hall table set up in a middle of the forest surrounded by Spiked Enemies he managed to get to before , also Nobles.
He than proceeded to act out normal Dining routine while Using Blood as sauce, dipping bread while feasting. Noone dared to point out the irregularities.
And the day Was Tuesday.
Vlad wasn't a Canibal By choice tho.
@@DexMaster881 Nobody said he was. I am saying the bodies were dripping with blood and blood is red which makes it a Ruby Tuesday connection.
Count Dracula FTW
Waluigi vs smash bros
Very fun battle
Some Corrections are in order As a History enthusiast to another Skyler.
And I'm a neighbour of Romania which is also the current owner of the Vlad's territory.
Also Vampir(Vampeer) comes from My country(Serbia) originally So it would make sense A neighbouring country was quick to adopt the myth.
First Dracul(Dracool) doesn't mean Devil it means Dragon. Nickname is Tepesh(impaler). T in Romanian is read as ц in Slavic or Ts.
The dynasty was Draculesti-Kind of Descendant's of the Dragons.
Hes forefather's and he were Knight's of the order of the Dragon. Which was the Church holy order like for example Crusaiders ,Templars etc.
Second he wasn't a cannibal its a fear mongering tactic. Also Blood was used as condiment in old times and even to this day still is in some places. Like Baked blood is eaten in many Slav countries while Butchering the livestock. Which is done by owners on the Farm not Butcher shops still. Finns drink heated Deer blood etc... On top of which Human blood is much more alike Animal blood in ways it wont induce illness like Human meat would over time. Its not as distinct from animals like Meat is.
Third Yes Vlad did Invade and use scorched earth But the reference is that at one earlier point he Was banished from his land and ran to Hungary by the Turks. It was before he managed to " persuade " Nobles to Unify under his rightful rule as a successor to the throne.
But the reference is to the fleeing when He literally Destroyed his home country by scorching So the Ottoman's get nothing.
Fourth Nailed the Hat to the Ottoman Envoy As Turks Only took The hat of for the Sultan. And Maybe some other Muslim Ruler But never a Christian.
So in Vlad's words : "This man is afraid of loosing his hat, so let me take care he never has to worry about it again."
And Fifth Dracula eats his feet alot in this. "Wow I didn't Know you could read"
You didn't Know a son Of Royalty is literate, who are you dissing m8?
Not keen on neck washes. Even peasants washed quite alot in Middle ages its a common hollywood BS. People loved to stay clean and they ad more opportunity to do so Not being Bound to Running water like nowdays.
Needles to say Vlad Wasn't mad for the majority of his Life. And For today's people as Atrocious hes deeds may sound Its not the acts that were uncommon. The difference is How Willing he was to do it,and how often. But To understand that even than he wasn't doing it because he was mad You have to Understand the Political climate at the time and spot.
Short Version It was a "Don't Fuck with me" tactic.
For example Ottomans Spiked people for petty crimes But it was a WOW because noone could ever dare to Spike Ottomans. As they had a Massive army and could Wreck your shit,an intention to inade Everything and giving them a reason was really dumb and just what they wanted. But when Vlad did it Without Blinking ,on mass, repeatedly, Ottoman Solders lost the Untouchable complex.
That's the true reason ,not to Enjoy gore.
You should do the Vader vs. Hitler trilogy
this feels like time paradox styled rap battle. cuz isn't Vlad Impaler supposed to be Dracula? O_o
Bram Stoker's Count Dracula is loosely based on Vladislav Tepestes Dracule III 12th century king of Wallachia (now modern day Romania)
@@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 oh.
In actual life Vlad was that but as fictional writers made him a dracula. Both are same one is real and another one fictional.
Have you been working out or is it just the costume

Do Romeo and Juliet vs Bonnie and Clyde
Vlad was a killer whereas Dracula was a vampire
can you do a donut operator video he is the funniest cop ever I recommend the musket vs store clerk
Bill Wurtz - History af the entire World, i guess
I have seen it already sadly!
I agree that Vlad won
Point - Canibal connotations were completely unsubstantiated.
Vlad III was a vicious warlord, and quite possibly a psychopath, but he was also an able ruler and administrator who did well by his people and was pretty devout, or at least overtly practicing Christian.
The blood-drinking was one part defamation, and another conflating two unrelated matters:
See, what he did was put up staked foes in his dining/feasting halls, as object lessons but there is no proof he ever actually held feasts while those staked were up. That part is more than probably invented.
Greetings.
Most of the stuff people claim Vlad Țepeş did, are myths. I know quite a few, since Vlad was one of my favourite leaders, because he defended our territories no matter at what cost. If we, Romanians, don't read the Qur'an on our knees nowadays, is thanks to our ancestor leaders and one of them is The Impaler. I will forever be grateful to them, 'cause I'm not forced to wear a freaking cloth over my face.
We even have a saying: "de nu era Țepeş, ca să înfrângă tot duşmanul,
astăzi neamul ți-ar fi plâns şi în genunchi citeai Coranul." ~ "If it weren't for 'the Impaler', to defeat all the enemies,
today your people would've cried and on your knees you would be reading the Qur'an." 😊
ayyyyyeee I'm so early
React to Jaques Cousteau vs Steve Irwin please
nice costume!
I thought that Dracula meant “Son of Dragon”
Yes, it does.
Vlad The Impaler was Vlad Tepes, whose father was part of a secret order and was given the name Dracul, which means Dragon...Thus, Vlad was Dracul-a, or Son of Dragon....The "Spawn of the Devil" stuff comes from popular culture, especially with the connections that are made between Dracula the Vampire and Vlad Tepes.
@@Kuronosa Also, the Romanian/Ancient Wallachian pronunciation is Draculea.
If you like anime the rustage rap cypers are great I recommend the sayian cyper
Skyler *MMMM* counter: 17
Pls correct me if I am wrong 😂
Count Dracula won for me cause of two reasons for 1 the horrible 3 ula scheme vlad used which sounded horrible in my ears and brain and was lame rhymes and for 2 he did a twilight insult which anytime someone’s insults the twilight film and book series in a battle is always a win for me
Probably my least favorite ERB of all. I've always wanted Vlad (either version) in a battle, but it was very weak.
Vladislav Tepestes Dracule III straight up Impaled the pale pretender to his throne Count Dracula
Cartoon Beatbox Battles.
Do americans like this shit lol ? I seen so many reactions on this
????
@@YouLoveSkyler Rap Battles with fantasy/historical figures
I mean on that video specifically only 24% of the viewers are American, so take that as you wish.
The dark history of Vlad was more or less created by the Hungarian empire at that time because after he lost his throne to the Turks, he was protected by the Hungarian Empire first under arrest for his violence on their empire, and then for protection against their enemies. Vlad was kept in the court of the Hungarian Emperor like a wild animal to intimidate his enemies.
If you talk with any Romanian at that time and today, Vlad the Impaler was a great hero and ruler who enforced his laws and nationalism for his country.
Dracula won it
please explain how I was sure vlad did but I like to hear people's reasons for having a different winner and who knows maybe Skyler will see this and might reply and you might teach him something too (I actually wrote the majority of this yesterday like a hour after the video came out but got caught up on other things so I'm only now sending it)
@@jrcspiderman2003 I believe that Dracula won because he wasn't flexing completely about himself, the way that I felf Vlad was. I believe that Dracula was more direct with his disses.
II. Mehmet didn't intimidate from Vlad .He sent assasins to kill him and they did. He died miserably III.Vlad Tepes is means nothing to Fatih Sultan Mehmet
