I love how this Shadow is repressed positive emotions rather than repressed negative ones. I kinda wish we get more of this in the future.
Also the only Palace ruler that wasn't openly malevolent to the Phantom Thieves. Sure, she was skeptical and a little defensive, but most, if not all the dangers in her Palace were pretty much out of her control entirely.

Well, gaining a Persona, aiding in a battle immediately after gaining it, and doing an instant escape from a f'ing pyramid all in one go would be draining on anyone, never mind a shut in. Add to that all the hell that she went through before that, and...
Honestly, she's earned that sleep, and I think that it's likely the first peaceful sleep that she's had in a really long time, all things considered.

I love that Futaba's Shadow helped the real one to reach out to the truth. Also- "Don't mess with the Phantom thieves!" *Bang*
Considering her "act of rebellion" was "seeking the truth," it is a nice parallel to P4, and considering her repressed emotions were "positive," it would only make sense that it would try to keep her alive rather than kill her.

OMG i just realized how much foreshadowing there was there.
Shadow Futaba is the truest form of a pure shadow, because not everyone is evil inside. Some want to understand the truth. So because she had a palace, but wasn't evil, therefore, her Shadow is her pure embodiment of her form of rebellion.
Because shadows want to gone so they try to help the person to realize the the thing that they have to realize in order for the shadow to gone. The best example is basically all shadow selfs in persona 4 where they try to convince the person to realize that the shadow is a part of them (because that was the thing you had to do in the TV world to make your shadow gone and replace it with a persona).
This is the most helpful shadow ever.
I love how everyone else’s shadow is evil and Futaba is just: “Nah we cool fam”

Futaba's awakening is always a fun scene. Will Power is an especially fitting track for Cognitive Wakaba's fight, especially when the guitar gets real into it while the scenes happen.
Oh, and one thing the game doesn't make very clear is why those tentacles came out of her Persona; it's actually not some non-sequitur they put in for fanservice, since her Persona is Necronomicon. You know that cursed book in the Lovecraft Mythos that has information about all the universe? The fact that it's tied to Lovecraft's Eldritch Abominations is why tentacles came out of it (remember, a lot of the depictions of those things have tentacles in their designs, Cthulhu especially).
So the game was a little too clever for its own good (although the devs probably knew what that'd look like and did it anyway).
The only real gripe I have about this scene is that line right before the boss starts from Futaba; "That's gotta go!" For some reason, it just doesn't flow right to me; I feel like something like "She's gotta go!" or "That thing's gotta go!" would've fit better. Regardless, this is one of my favorite Persona Awakenings, because it's so heartfelt.
What about her second awakening? It's a giant smiley face.

That was so sick when you used physical reflect. I love and hate that I never thought of it. It's brilliant! And at first I was like "Why are they refusing the ballista? Whoever uses it is safe" XD
3:11 this was super cool. I love seeing Joker actually play his role as Leader.
Like, leader doesn't just mean "Gonna tell these guys what to do". Being a Leader to Joker means trusting his team and his team trusting him.
This obviously comes with him looking out for them as much as they do him.
I still think that besides Kamoshida’s and Shido’s palace, Futaba’s palace is the best emotional/story beat in the game

That's just ONE of four reflects, since the numbers stack. It's actually strong enough to OHKO the boss.
Mabye the DMG REFLECT From the party is 940.5[× 4 (since everyone have the Physicial Ointment) = 3762( Total DMG)]

To this day, lucky punch's animation/sound effect is just so funny. Its a squeaky toy as it attacks. XD

I've been watching P4 recently, so I half-expected "I'll Face Myself" after Futaba's Awakening. (I don't like the boss theme in P5 anyways, good thing it swaps out in the second half.)

i got VERY lucky for this boss fight (mercy mode): boss inflicted MC with abnormal stats and was supposed to OTK me next turn with her "all out atk". I though i was going to die and have to retry all over again, but i got that physical barrier iten; reflected over 3k dmg ^^. Now i know that there is a very interesting way to exploit tech dmg from this game hahaha ^^
