@@neonayse8803 its less ironic when you see it from a Gnostic interpretation. They saw the creator god as an either malevolent or incompetent deity. Or some varying degrees of both. So typically anything that is deemed righteous and good in established abrahamic religion was subverted. so anything thats role was protection can be seen as suppressive from a gnostic lens

I like how Michael has Blooming Villain as his battle theme, given the Archangels hierarchy [which ties into him being the final one you fight]
He’s also a combination of the 3
I kinda liked how they had Gabriel actually show kindness here, instead of being like the other 3 going all HUMANZ R WEAK AND DUM"
Misguided kindness sure, but it's nice to see more than one attitude on the opposing side.

Eh...Gabriel has always been the nice Archangel of SMT even when you don't go Law in the mainline she is usually pretty chill.

I like how all Gabriels in most games are the nicest out of any other angel

These guys really remind me of the Elite 4 from Pokémon. Four powerful bosses that you're forced to face all in a row directly before the final battle? Really did build hype towards the final fight as well.

This is pretty much a reenactment of SMT 1's final dungeon where you fight the 4 archangels
@@dylanattix2765 Effectively one, since one his materials naturally learns Null Curse, one of Metatron's weaknesses. So, effectively, he only has the Electric weakness. Yes, we all wish he had Fire of Sinai, but that'd be as busted as Myriad Truths
How to forget that time Persona 5 became SMT 1
Like seriously, the Endgame of Persona 5 is just the chaos ending of SMT 1, you even fight Michael as the last fight lol
Regardless of SMT1 you would fight Michael last anyway, he is the the higher of the 4 by lore itself lol
It is a nice touch though, considering how SMT-ish this game tried to be at times :p
omegaevolution I love how this game really tries to go back to its routes with the return of guns, negotiations, Nuke and Psychic attacks.

And this game continues to flawlessly build hype up to the final battle. Love the look of the metaverse merged with the real world. Love the climb up to the prison. Love singing along to Life will Change. And Loved defeating each of the corrupted archangels. I LOVE THIS GAME! :D

Michael is easily one of the most intimidating bosses in the game.
The first time he destroys you with a Charge + Sword Dance combo in a single turn, and then a Zealous Messenger cures him with a Recamdra, is something you will never forget

Bring a Persona with Mamudoon and spam it when he summons them. Worked every time for me.

Amelia Kyle the demiurge is NOT yhvh, not even in megaten, at most the demiurge (yaldabaoth) is an aspect of YHVH as explained in Strange Jourey. And Satan isn't Lucifer in SMT, but rather a judge and a force of Law itself, like YHVH's right hand man.

Michael was a pain for me on my first playthrough and I was playing on normal. Though it was more the minions he kept summoning that spammed Recarmda
This is some final level. Looking at on how the city looks it kinda looks like it's the end of the world or something and your the only one to stop it otherwise everything is doom.
I swear I fought that last archangel for way too long. I got him down to critical health 3 times only for the angels to fully heal him. Yes, I know you're supposed to kill the angels quickly, but I got greedy charging up with Ryuji and Ann.

At last, let us continue the game. I watched a large section of a Persona 4 playthrough in the meantime. I gotta say, this dungeon feels eerily similar to Magatsu Inaba, and not just because both are red.

Alright. Considering the shift in tone and just about everything with P4 and P5, was actually unsure.
Yeah, they are just Shadows. It's a similar reasoning as to why the regular enemies looked like SMT Demons now; the cognitions of servants of a god being the famous Archangels is because of the images of them floating around in the collective unconscious.
That's the point the game's trying to make; they may seem all high and mighty and larger than life, but they're just some silly shadows with a bit more power than normal that took those forms on to try and look important.
Nihil Ego I love this explanation, it makes perfect sense. I always curious as to why the shadows had a dark aura around them, but I that’s a good answer.
