The Mementos Depths are pretty eerie, but one thing I wonder is if this place really represents humanity as a whole, or just the ones living inside Japan. After all, I doubt other countries would have the train station aesthetic, or the distortion that everyone desires to not have to think for themselves. Actually, that does give an interesting case study of if other countries has a Mementos of their own, and what would they look like if they exist.
I don't believe we have a lot of underground railway systems in Canada (we have some in Toronto, but not in places like Ajax), so I don't think it'd be like that over here... Maybe the Canadian Mementos would look more like a large cityscape? I mean, we do have a fair few amount of cities...
I believe in certain countries with large populations like say the United States and so forth Mementos would take the form a subway or some urban structure, a city even. Regions like perhaps the Middle East or Mexico I could see actually being a scorching hot desert with sandstorms representing the...dangers that come with living in the region, and for Mexico or Latin American a giant jungle filled with temples and villages that expand depending on whose in power and what their agenda is. The subway is just general because a lot of people in life worldwide feel like they're being rushed from one place to another with little to no control over their lives.
That's honestly gotta be one of the biggest questions in the series. Are all these locations, the Dark Hour, The Midnight Channel, Mementos; Are they built by the subconscious thoughts of the people of Japan. Or the subconscious thoughts of the masses of the World.
I'll never forget this place. The atmosphere, the music, the realization that this is what society wants... I shudder to think that enslavment is what they desire.
Its basically a metaphor. People dont desire to be literally imprisoned, they just want everyone else to take care of their problems for them. The irony of it all is that humans are responsible for the suffering of other humans. Your boss at work, arguments with significant others, jealousy of another, egocentrics, etc. I believe taking Memento's treasure forced people to come to terms with their lives and work everything out themselves.
Mementos is how people truly feel. TV world is a place of actual warped views of other people, hence why the shadows in the TV world acted very weird compared to their real counterpart.
I think the people being locked in the depths aren't really seeking imprisonment or slavery, but a sense of security. Like, the knowledge that nothing would go wrong, the feeling of safety in spite of the fact that they all can have better lives if they left and put effort into improving their situations. Just having a lack of conflict, and the promise of no future conflict, is the desire that's being portrayed here. Really scary, since I keep hearing about people that plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit here in America, because they're in bad living environments and can't seem to get jobs or a reliable form of income.
Since the Phantom Thieves' Shadows probably had to leave the Prison of Regression in order to become Personas, I like to imagine all of their Personas seeing this place and yelling "I'M BACK, BITCHES!"
Going into the depths of the public's mind, when a climbing the final block to the promised day and a twisted version on Inaba weren't enough. What to call Izanami's dungeon?
In a way, the Palace owners are like the Phantom Thieves. They escaped from this prison of regression to live their lives as they wanted. However, the masses that followed them close made them ambitious and therefore they lost sight of their freedom and became twisted. When you steal their treasure, they are captured back into the prison and give up their freedom.
"Yes I know. Thank you for filling me in on the details"

Dang Haru is a savage
My favorite is that Haru is just like "Oh I didn't kill him for real, damn" after her awakening battle where you fight the cognitive fiancee
MASSES STOP CREATING DOOMSDAY EVERY PERSONA GAME
your true
the masses are fucked up yo
Who many time did I must do it ,old man's?
humans are dead to me. this is a *cat* talking. yep. a cat.
It can’t be helped , as long as humanity exists , meta verse will exist as well.

New York represents a good chunk of america outside of the US because of hollywood. This definitely represents society as a whole not just in Japan

Ultrapyre I recon that America’s would be a massive city, with millions of people fighting within.

When i played during this part i was feeling uncomfortable like if someone was watching me all the time

I think i understand that while ago but it's still scary since the society in this Persona is so close to our
@@dndn-f2531 that's the message of this game. It represents not only their society, but our one too
Really love the Mementos depth music. Wait a minute, maybe the TV...I mean Mementos is everyone's minds!
You aren't wrong from it.

Oh that might explain why all the shadows here think you escaped the prison.

What to call Izanami's dungeon?
16:08 Wait! Where's Alice?
13:28 I AM THE GREAT MIGHTY POO AND I'M GOING TO THROW MY SHIT AT YOU
Only 4 people can participate in battle. So what do others do? Can't they just stay here and keep the door open?
MiiNiPaa they stay in back up and help you sometime but dont stay close to you too much because à large group bring attention
@@derickkaz6096, what is the problem with that if you're fighting the boss?
They should at least come 1 by 1 each 2 rounds
Just realized this but the abysmal king actually curses a lot. You can even hear it saying fuck after debilatate
13:41 the shadow sounded like he sweared wow..

Mark Zuckerberg: Interesting
I'm so glad I made it through Mementos before having to do this dungeon. Interesting concept though, and I like the panel puzzles

My favorite dungeon
What are those patterns all over mementos? are those like......fractals?
more like veins, mementos is like a big generator, pumping people's desires to its "treasure", only more supernatural
anyone else think kamoshida would be a good guy before you saw the palace
