@@night23412 Well, in P3FES, preparation for Elizabeth's fight is tougher cause you can't pick the skills you inherit (I only played P3 Portable). There's still RNG in Elizabeth's fight, so challenge battles w/ her are prob just as hard.

@@Valt3445 you can indeed beat Elizabeth/Teodore whitout RNG, but you need to create more Personas for this Fight, Elizabeth heals at 10k hp the first time then she´ll do it at 9k the second time, you just need to deal 20k damage before her 50th turn to use Armageddon, but because everyone goes for the High counter strat people think Elizabeth always use Diarahan at 10k hp.

Yea, it was thanks to your videos that I saw it was possible! Ah good to know that Endure and Enduing Soul can work separately, I wasn't sure and had seen some conflicting stuff online. That gives one more save later on during this

I just bought the dlc since it was on sale and I still can’t beat her even with other team members lmao
If its like the twins fight her skill usage isnt random once you notice the pattern fight becomes much easier
I know this probably isn't useful now but its a lot of rng this fight it took me 3 tries
Her battle is more a matter of chance than skill, it took me like 30 or so tries to beat her normally because of me not having a high critical chance normally, you pretty much need a setup for her specifically to beat her

It's because in each phase, you're given specific tasks like technical every turn or critical every turn. If you fail, Lavenza downs and All Out Attack you. It doesn't count if you're downed by weaknesses or critical.
@@winterben5155 ah interesting, I knew about the mechanics of this fight but what I didn't know is that she will only all out attack when you fail the set requirements. I think I got confused because while doing the twins solo every time they got a critical and downed me they would all out attack, just like you would in a normal encounter against shadows.

Answering your question:
In P3P maniac mode you'll have to rely on high counter rng to get her hp below 9999 before she uses diarahan after which you use fusion spell to finish her.
If you miscalculate & use armageddon sooner then you will taste her favourite megidolaon spam until you die.
Also there is turn limit (it is lower in maniac mode I don't exactly remember 40 I guess + you need to waste a bunch of turns casting infinity spell). Usually in normal mode after getting her to below 9999 2nd time (25 to 28 turns) she won't heal but in maniac mode she uses diarahan no matter how many times - meaning you need to rely on high counter rng to use armageddon on correct turn.

@@bainz Thank you! I had worse RNG than I should have on my solo DLC run since I didn't do billiards, so I've learned to be especially patient. I've managed to finally rank up my technical hits and fuse Personas with all the skills I want, so now it's just a matter of grinding those fusion alarms for stats before throwing myself at the wall.
@@GoldVortex prepare to repeat phase 1, 2 and 3 a bunch of times, from my experience whit this strat you have like 10% of success rate
@@robjoker3786 Yeah. So far I've made it to the point where I'm required to use dream needle... I only did a few attempts because it took some time grinding up each Persona. I'll try to see if I can beat her by the end of tomorrow, since it's late my time, now.

So technically the wildcards are the strongest things in the persona universe along with ryuji because he somehow lived through his momentos body getting destroyed and came back like it was normal.
You could have used endure or enduring soul to survive lavenzas one shot if you had it on any persona. And she doesnt resist wind in either stance in phase 4 so you could have had a repel all and spammed wind to pump out damage
Arsene had enduring soul so even without final guard they were fine

Has this game been rebalanced since this video was uploaded? When I attempt this, Jack frost and surt do at least 1200 damage each. Satanael will do around 3000 after knockdown. However, when it comes to kohryu, I can't get him to do over 4000 with knockdown, star onion, and sleep.
When I tried with DLC InO couldn't get me to skip the 3rd phase. She was knocked down, asleep, and I used myriad truths.
The only thing I'm doing differently than either video is that I'm using a shock gun rather than a freeze gun.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

it could be a problem in Phase 2, megidolaon+universal law will deal around 3k damage, you will need to land a 2nd critical whit dream needle

I reached the part where she used Concentrate + Megidolaon. I had Enduring Soul equipped but it didn't activate? Does enduring soul not work anymore if Futaba used Final Guard earlier in the match?
No, it would still work. Enduring soul must of triggered before lavenza used megidolaon

ok so because I'm a masochist I decided to do this challenge so I might as well tell you how it went. First, it took me a total of 36 tries to beat Lavenza without DLC. I only got to the third phase 3 times out of the 36 tries and I only got to the fourth phase only twice. Here are the stats for how many times each Crit or tech attack hit:
Phase 1 one-shot kill -> 21/34 = 0.5833 or 58.3%
Since there is a cap of 60% for Crit in P5R this makes sense.
Phase 2 Ice gun technical -> 12/21 = 0.5714 or 57.1%
this percentage can probably increase if you have freeze boost on your "dream needle" persona, I only had ailment boost on mine.
Phase 2 Dream Needle -> 3/12 = 0.25 or 25%
This is by far the biggest wall in this fight.
Phase 3 Sword Dance -> 5/5 = 1 or 100% (I made it to this point only 3 times: run 13th, 23rd, and 36th)
run 23rd: I got pretty lucky with Crits in Phase 3, the only reason why I didn't make it to Phase 4 on run 23rd was because I got very unlucky with dodging Psy attacks so by the time I made it to Phase 4 I already had burned through Futaba and enduring soul. I didn't use Endure btw.
run 13th: this fight was very weird, I got hit with a Crit at the beginning of Phase 2 from a one-shot kill so I was left with 300-ish Hp so after I hit the tech with the Ice gun Lavenza changed to Anubis as usual but she used a megidolaon instead of using an instant kill attack and left me with 50 Hp. The Crit from dream needle landed, used megidolaon on her, dodged the Nuke attack but since Futaba didn't heal before I had to use Sword Dance I was unable to continue.
run 36th: I landed 3 Crits in a row, thanked the RNG Gods for this miracle, and continued to victory.
Over all success rate -> 1/36 = 0.0278 or 2.7%
yep this fight is difficult and if it wasn't for the fact that I got blessed with sword dance it probably would've taken me another 20 to 30 tries. GGs Lavenza

Nice! Your crit and success rate are pretty close to what I had. Getting to Phase 3 and running out of HP has got to be the worst. But with enough perseverance, it's possible!
@@bainz yep it was awful, funnily enough if she would've killed me enduring soul would've activated leaving me with at full Hp to continue. However, even if this was the case I highly doubt I would made it to Phase 4 with Final Guard still active. I guess I will never know but at least I feel happy that I completed it the challenge .

Honestly i gave up on lavenza because i dont like min maxing(build up to boss just to one shot is kinda boring) but no matter how many times i run her my mates refuse to dodge even with evade, they always get ailments even with haru on the team, joker doesnt detox the one time its fatal if he keeps the ailment, i dont crit when i need to, basically anything that can go wrong does
for what is lavenzas key item ?
For the crit phase, you used arahabaki, who is weak to psy/nuke. Do you know if it is possible to use Girimekhala, who is weak to bless, since He seems more viable.
Lavenza doesn’t use Bless in phase 3, Girimehkala wouldn’t serve the same purpose

I was actually trying the same thing, and I have a working strategy fairly similar to what you have here, though I'm waiting on my capture card to arrive to arrive to go through the RNGfest of actually finishing it. For Phase 1 btw I just replaced Izanagi-no-Okami with Satanael and had him cast sword dance and then panta rhei but as it's needed only once I only did it on the first time around cause crit being capped at 60% is a major pain in the ass that I wish they didn't implement. I didn't know that lavenza goes for weaknesses instead of tetrakarn during the third phase though, I just prayed to RNGesus that she wouldn't cast it 2 turns in a row, I might actually mix up the strategy in that case, but I'd rather use firm stance, think I can get away with using that instead? I saw you had to trigger enduring soul to live through it but I'd prefer to not use those until the last phase comes around, so any chance of firm stance being viable instead or is the damage too high and dodging is the only way?
I think you could live if you combine firm stance + Divine Pillar, in my video I was hit by Psycoforce and survive because Lavenza was debuff and I was buff, she deal 301 damage so I guess you can tank her whit Firm stance + Divine Pillar, but remember that you will be knock down and she will hit you 5 times and you will need hp for your next 3 moves at least, 2 sword dance/one-shoot kill and one Hassou tobi.
Edit: Nevermind is imposible whit firm stance+divine pilar Lavenza will hit you so many times whit this strat.
Ok thanks, I guess I'll try evading then, less rng than hoping for no tetrakarn at least. Making additional personas just for this won't be fun tho *sigh*
Does she only target nuke weakness after the megidolaon tech cause i had a psy weakness and she used tetrakarn regardless, though I only got to this point once so far.
@@HeroBrineDestroyer1 you need nuke weakness on Mithras and Psy weakness on Ose, those are the 2 Personas she use in phase 3, you need any Persona whit nuke weakness and universal law to deal the technical damage and when she start her phase 3 she´ll going to attack your nuke weakness, then change to a persona whit psy weakness to deal the critical so she doesn´t use tetrakarn whit Ose
